Chapter 256: Back to School
The first day of school is held every year.
But the weather was terrible - Ryan woke up and saw the rain pounding on the window.
After breakfast, Mr. Weasley decided to drive everyone to King's Cross Station in London, and Bill and Charlie decided to see them off together. Percy was supposed to go too, but a more serious incident occurred in Plymouth, and he could only eat two mouthfuls of bread in a hurry before putting on his coat and leaving.
"Percy's job is good at everything, it's just that there are too many contingencies like this. After watching Percy's apparition disappear into the rain, Mrs. Weasley said with some distress.
"It's like this when I first joined the Ministry of Magic, and I didn't work overtime twice in three days. Mr. Weasley stepped forward and put his arm around Molly and comforted.
"yes, how capable you were at that time. Molly began to reminisce about the old days, and then quickly reacted. "The kids are here, I'm going to clean up the house. ”
Everyone in the room felt like they were being stuffed with dog food. After eating, everyone rushed to London in that classic car. Unfortunately, the weather in London was just as bad, and when I got off the train at King's Cross Station, it was raining so hard outside that I couldn't even see out the window. When they opened the door, they rained down on them. When they walked through the busy street into the station with their suitcases, they were soaking wet.
The weather was terrible today, and after entering Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, many Hogwarts students and parents could be seen on the platform as black ghosts under the billowing smoke from the front of the train.
After finding one to put his luggage in, Ryan ran to the platform to say goodbye to Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Charlie. When Charlie hugged Ginny and said goodbye to her, it was revealed that he would probably see everyone at school again soon this year. Later, when questioned by the twins, he revealed that Hogwarts might have some kind of big event going on this year. It's a pity that the whistle blew before she finished speaking, and everyone had to hurry to get in the car.
"Thank you for staying with us, Mrs. Weasley. Hermione said. By this time they had boarded the train, closed the door, and she leaned out of the window to talk to Mrs. Weasley.
"Indeed, this summer vacation will be a very fond memory of my student years, Mrs. Weasley. Ryan said.
After saying thank you and drying your clothes with magic. Ryan sat down in his seat and began to recall something: "Moody wasn't attacked this morning, so that means things have changed." But Pertha's disappearance illustrates that Voldemort's return has become a reality. But how will Voldemort be resurrected this time?" After losing the prophetic advantage, Ryan felt as if the future was hidden in a fog.
Harry then arrives in the carriage and tells him about the nightmare he had about Voldemort during the summer holidays. Ron and Hermione just thought that Harry might be too nervous, and only Ryan knew that this meant that Voldemort's return had entered the countdown. However, he didn't say it, because now the plot has changed. Saying this without knowing where the enemy is lurking has little effect other than being considered a madman.
It was uneventful along the way, only Malfoy came in and provoked a wave. This made Ryan suspicious of the pure-blood family's tutor again. Malfoy's words were hurtful, though, and Ron was still grim when the train arrived at Hogsmeade Station.
The weather outside was the same as Ron's: even though they had taken a half-day train from the south of England to the north of England, the weather still hadn't improved, if not worse. The rain fell so hard that it was like buckets of cold water pouring over their heads.
Ryan took Hermione's owl cage and added a waterproof spell to his friends. After that, he stepped on a puddle of stagnant water and walked into the carriage.
"Oh my God, crossing the lake in a small boat on this weather. If you don't have magic, you guess it's dangerous. After getting into the car, Hermione looked through the window as Hagrid walked towards the lake with the first-year freshmen.
"Magic is also dangerous, I remember that the weather like this once capsized the boat. Fortunately, the squid in the lake rescued everyone in time. Ron adjusted his mood a little at this time, so he explained to the three people in the carriage who were not born in the wizarding world.
When the castle entered the foyer, Peeves began throwing balloons filled with water. Luckily, Ryan was prepared to help him and Hermione block all the droplets. However, Harry was unlucky enough to be hit on the head by a water balloon, so much so that his hair was still dripping down when he walked into the restaurant.
Peeves are known to represent the souls of all the children in this school who have been condensed from their pent-up emotions, similar to Dementors. So, unlike other ghosts, he can pick up all kinds of objects but can also be attacked by all kinds of objects.
However, because Peeves' qualifications are too old, even if Peeves was already here when Dumbledore was a student, the teachers only managed Peeves to a limited extent so that he didn't go too far. Of course, this is also the reason why Peeves is directly bound to Hogwarts Castle, and as long as the castle exists, Peeves will always exist.
However, as far as Ryan knows, the most important information about Peeves is the unsuccessful exorcism of Hogwarts in 1876. The Administrator at the time used a scimitar, a crossbow, a short spear, and a cannon at Hogwarts. However, he failed, and Peeves even casually shot at the window after escaping the trap, putting everyone at risk for their lives, and the castle was evacuated. Until then the headmistress Euplacia?? Moore made a concession until he relented.
In 1876, guns had entered the era of metal cartridge casings, and after reading this account in the book, Ryan confirmed two points: first, the inability to use electronics in Hogwarts was due to powerful magical radiation, similar to electromagnetic pulse bombs, which interfered with all electronic products. Rather than an anti-Muggle item or anti-tech spell imposed from the level of the rules of the world, as some fandoms in the previous life said.
Second, from the book's account of Peeves shooting and putting everyone's lives in danger. Muggle weapons do pose enough of a threat to wizards, or at least young wizards. This conclusion prompted Ryan to nuke the group of dark wizards with a fat nuke in the pyramid. However, the Dark Wizards who survived the explosion in the pyramids at the time also proved that Muggle weapons were almost zero threat to some powerful wizards, which also discouraged Ryan's plan to give Voldemort a fat nuke.
After everyone walked into the auditorium, the senior students began to help the younger students tidy up their clothes after drying their clothes. After all, today is the opening ceremony, and it is definitely inappropriate to be sloppy.
After tidying up, everyone started talking. Colin Creevy told Ryan that his brother was also enrolled this year. Ryan had a deep suspicion that their parents were probably not Muggles but Squibs, because the odds of both brothers becoming wizards were too small for a hemp wizard.
On the podium sat a man with a fake scar in the place of the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, and many people noticed this. Ron looked at it and whispered, "Oh my God, Mad-Eye Moody." This year's Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher is actually him?"
"Mad-Eye, Moody, who is this?" asked Harry, curious.
"A retired top Auror. Ron explained to the crowd, "My dad admired him, but no wonder he filled half of the cells in Azkaban. It's just that because of this, he has a lot of enemies, which makes him slowly become a little nervous. He retired after someone tried to shake his hand only to be mistaken for an attack and injured him. I really didn't expect Dumbledore to ask him to be the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor this year. ”
"PTSD patients. Ryan concluded.
"P-what's that?" Ron couldn't figure it out.
"PTSD is often found in people who have experienced war. Because of past experiences, they become irritable, hyperalert, amnesiac, and easily frightened. One of my parents' Iraqi patients was like that. Hermione explained.
Indeed, that's what Moody's looks like. After listening to Hermione's account, Ron said he absolutely agreed with her.
No sooner had they finished their discussion on the topic than the door to the auditorium opened. This also marks the official start of the opening ceremony.
