494. Find its footprints

One day after work, Shandan was busy with housework, Xiaoyu went to study in the evening, and she had free time to do some things she liked in the evening??? She took out the "Diamond Sutra" and studied it slowly, and had already studied the "Tao Te Ching" carefully.

These books are all books that Gu Haiping read during his lifetime, and Shandan often listened to Gu Haiping explain some of these profound and philosophical passages and chapters, but he never thought of studying them himself. However, taking care of the family's food, clothing, housing and transportation, and still having to work, he is already very tired of the weak Shandan.

Until Gu Haiping left and placed this cabinet of "ancient books" in the bookcase when she moved, she didn't think of reading these esoteric and difficult "ancient books".

It was also one night, she stood in front of the bookcase, looking at the photo of her father that Xiaoyu had bought and decorated with a delicate photo frame, the frame was a light green bottom plate, and a paragraph in English was written on it, probably "This is a pure land for the soul, you are the only and eternal angel ...... in my heart", Shandan could feel the child's thoughts about his father.

She took out the "Tao Te Ching" casually, and she wanted to see what kind of content these books Gu Haiping had buried in it all day and enjoyed himself.

After carefully studying the Tao Te Ching, she was shocked by Lao Tzu's Taoist thoughts:

"Take the essence as the essence, take the thing as the coarseness, and take the accumulation as the insufficient, and live alone in the gods. …… It is built with the constant and nothing, the Lord is the ether one, the weak and humble are the expression, and the emptiness does not destroy all things as the reality. This is generally from the standpoint of the unity of heaven and man, and deeply studies the "Tao" as the origin of all things in heaven and earth and the highest principle of the universe, and takes it as the pole, and the humanities such as self-cultivation and governance.

The so-called "two in one life, two in three, three in all things, man is the law of the earth, the earth is the law of the sky, the heaven is the law of the Tao, and the Tao is the law of nature", humanity should take the law from the earth, and the source and the origin of the Tao are nature. It reminds people of the word "go with the flow" but it is in line with the root of "Tao".

The principle of the Tao is divided into nothing, and there are two sides. The Tao is always non-existent, nameless and formless, preceding heaven and earth, ghosts and gods, and is the beginning of all things in heaven and earth. The principle of the Tao runs through all things, which is manifested as the fundamental law that all things exist relatively, and the extreme must be reversed, and the end must return. And the use of there is often based on nothing, "there is born out of nothing". The saint's body is nothing, the Dharma is natural and inactive, with it to cultivate one's self, when there is no desire and quiet, no heart and emptiness, not self-seeing, self-defeating, for the sake of not holding, success but not living, kindness and thrift, to go to China, to rule the world, when "do nothing, do not teach without words", return the sword, away from the fight, not virtuous, not expensive and rare goods, do not see the desire, so that the people are humble and honest, ignorant and desireless, then do nothing to rule.

Shandan's inner understanding is just the opposite: inaction is actually the sublimation of thousands of promising beings, isn't it?

It's a pity that Gu Haiping is no longer there, and no one can talk to her about the scriptures.

"The movement of the opposite way, the use of the weak way", so those who know keep the female and embrace the simple, retreat and humble, frustrate and resolve disputes, and the light and dust, and the weak defeat the strong - is the source of overcoming the strong with the soft. It is as if the full ears of grain are always humbly bowing their heads, but the grains are holding their heads high.

As for what the scriptures say: "to the void, keep quiet", "dedication to softness", "cleansing Xuanjian", and hold a harmonious and other cultivation paths, but also Taoist Shouyi, heart unity, sitting and forgetting, convincing, Neidan and other alchemy techniques. And the sayings of "immortality" and "those who die but do not die" are cited by Taoism as the source of immortal immortal longevity. The theory of "returning to the roots" and "recovering life" is the philosophical basis for internal refining and unity with the Tao.

It is no wonder that the Tao Te Ching, a magical book known as the "King of All Classics", has had a profound impact on China's ancient philosophy, science, politics, religion, etc., and it has played an immeasurable role in the shaping of the character of the Chinese nation and in political unity and stability.

Since ancient times, many philosophers have used the ancient wisdom of the Tao Te Ching to guide their cultivation, scholarship, and recuperation.

Shandan was addicted to reading the classics, and after reading the "Tao Te Ching", she picked up the "Classic of Mountains and Seas" next to her and looked at it.

The Classic of Mountains and Seas is no longer the philosophy and wisdom of the Tao Te Ching, but seems to be an ancient myth, but it is no less fascinating.

The Classic of Mountains and Seas is an ancient book of the pre-Qin period, which is not only a work rich in myths and legends, but also the oldest geography book. It describes ancient geography, products, mythology, witchcraft, religion, etc., as well as ancient history, medicine, folklore, ethnicity, etc. So while reading the story, you will also have some understanding of some ancient history.

In particular, some strange creatures that do not exist in reality during this period make people full of imagination.

It's just that Shandan who doesn't have a very solid foundation in ancient literature seems to be a little struggling with these "ancient books", but with her intelligence and patience to meditate, she slowly looks at these "ancient books" no longer so laborious, but enjoys them. This may also be her understanding that Gu Haiping often talks about.

It's a pity that Yiren has gone, and his hope of wanting to talk with her so much has not been realized, and now she is alone, and Gu Hai is immersed in such a colorful world every day, which is also a kind of happiness.

She also slowly experienced Gu Haiping's excitement to be able to appreciate the unique wisdom and excitement in the "ancient books".

At that time, Gu Haiping studied the classics, Shandan took care of family affairs, he often saw that he would shout loudly to Shandan to come to the study, he excitedly told her about it, and he often admired the ancients thousands of years ago for being so wise and unreachable.

She also often smiled at his joy as excited as a child, and her heart was not moved by his enlightenment, but she was happy with his joy.

Gu Haiping reads a lot of books, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism are all studying them one by one, and the classics of Chinese medicine are also not studied on the ground, so he always has not enough time, he gets up early and reads and studies greedily, but he is full of energy every day.

Shandan once thought that his physical foundation was good and his innate endowment was sufficient, but she slowly began to study the classics before she realized that he had sucked endless life nutrients from these old papers, and "born by eating the sun and the moon" did not seem to be an empty word.

Thinking about Gu Haiping, who has been working, studying, and studying day and night, it makes sense that he always has endless energy.

The Diamond Sutra is an early Mahayana Buddhist classic, which belongs to the ninth session of the Great Prajna Sutra and is one of the representative works of preaching the meaning of Prajna emptiness.

What Shandan saw was the annotated version of the late Qing Dynasty, she was busy with housework every day, washed her face and hands, smoked incense, sat in front of Xiaoyu's small desk, and studied with a pure heart. 8
