012 The man who was supposed to die
The movements of the group were very fast, and after a while they quickly stepped out of the castle gate, walking on the small grassland in the campus, the evening sun dragged their shadows very long, they walked to the beating willow, Remus skillfully picked up the broken branch on the ground, stepped into the attack range of the beating willow, and then accurately hit the nodule on the trunk, and the four of them slid into the passage in order,
"Gee, I think I should have made the passage a little higher." Deng Buliduo bent down and smiled,
"Are you going to have everybody in and out of here every day, Professor?" Snape replied coldly,
"Don't be so serious, Severus." They went through a turn to the end of the passage, and one by one they stepped into the messy room, said Dunbulido.
"I think you'll miss this, Lupin." Snape said that Remus did not reply, and he drew his wand and walked at the front,
"Where is he, Lawrence?" Deng Buliduo asked softly,
"Upstairs, the only room open." Lawrence also took out his wand,
"Relax, Lawrence, we're here, I think by the time it's your wand to wield, the Dementors may already be around here." Dunburydo said lightly, he motioned to Snape to look behind, and the four of them maintained formation and walked up the stairs step by step, they came to a half-hidden door, Dunburlido looked at Lawrence,
Lawrence nodded, Remus raised his wand and pushed the door open hard, and the four of them quickly stepped into the room, four lighted wands pointing at the only thing in the room that made a noise - Hermione's pet Crookshan,
"Oops," Dunbury walked quickly to the broken window that had been opened, but as far as the eye could see, there was nothing moving, "it was obvious that he was long gone."
"Remus searches this room, Severus goes to the first floor and has a look," Dunbulido said, "I'll look at the other rooms, Lawrence, you stay here."
"Hey, Crookshank." Lawrence greets the big ginger cat sitting on the bed,
"Where's the little round table, Lawrence?" Remus asked, Lawrence turned his head, and he saw Remus standing in front of a small pile of ashes,
"It's there......" Lawrence replied with difficulty, "I think Blake burned it?"
Remus was stunned for a long time, and he stiffly began to check the traces in the room, and not long after, Dunburydo and Snape returned,
"The doors and windows on the first floor are well sealed, Professor." Snape said, "Nothing has been touched."
"Blake lives here," Remus said, "and the bed is still warm, and he's in a hurry."
"Apparently someone tipped." Snape glared at Remus and said, "I suggest a thorough search of his memory, Professor."
"Professor Lupin was with me until we got to the rector's office." Lawrence said,
"Yes, Lawrence, please take out the map and take a look," Dunburydo nodded in understanding, "It's unlikely, but Black may return to Hogwarts via other passages."
"Okay, hey! Crook Hill?" As soon as Lawrence took out the map, Crookshank suddenly pounced and snatched the map, he jumped back on the bed, barked at Lawrence, and then turned his head to look at the map, he flexibly used the cat's paw to spread out the map, and then searched for something, everyone present looked at his actions, and a thought flashed in his mind - he could understand the map, and he could understand the words on it,
"I think I'm blind, it's of raccoon blood," Dunburydo's blue eyes sparkled, and he quipped, "He probably thinks you can't look at a map, Lawrence."
"Purr" Crookshank looked up proudly, he patted the map with his cat's paw, Lawrence reached out to get the map back, but was flicked by Crookshan's tail,
"Hey—" Lawrence said, and Crookshan "purred" again, and patted the same point on the map with the cat's paw, apparently meant,
"What do you mean by showing me?" Lawrence asked, Crookshan nodded, its tail flicking around like a brush,
"Let's see," Dunburlido also came over, and Crookshan cooperated to remove the cat's paws, and in the Gryffindor Tower, in the boys' dormitory, there was a small black dot that stopped there, and when they saw the name clearly, everyone was stunned, and Remus took a sharp breath,
"Peter Pettigrew?" Snape looked up suddenly, and he asked incredulously, "I thought he was dead?"
"You can't go wrong with the map," Remus said quickly, "Jaime assures us that we've tested a number of scenarios, and that no amount of stealth or transformation water can hide from the map."
"I know how maps are made, and I don't think maps have a chance to go wrong." Lawrence agrees,
"And how did this man who should have died end up in the Gryffindor Tower?" Snape asked furiously, poking hard at the point on the map, and Lawrence was afraid that he would break it, "Right there!"
"Professor Lupin," Lawrence breathed, "what is Peter's shape-shifting animal?"
"A rat ......," Remus's voice was a little hoarse,
"There's a rat in the Weasleys...... Ron took it from Percy," said Lawrence, "I think...... The mouse, the ordinary-looking mouse, had been in their house for thirteen years......
"This ......" Remus stared blankly at the dot of Peter Pettigrew on the map, speechless,
"And it's missing a toe from its left front toe," Lawrence said, "the last thing Peter Pettigrew left behind......
"It's his little finger." Snape returned to his expressionless state, and finished his sentence, which was regarded as an endorsement of this judgment,
"Then I think we must find Sirius as soon as possible," Dunburidor said solemnly, looking out the window, "before the Ministry of Magic finds him, or the tragedy will be irreparable."
"Can you find him? Crook Hill?" Lawrence asked, Crookshank shook his head, his tail brushing at the large dark cloud in the sky, where the Dementors were located,
"The Dementors spoil the scent." Dunburydo said, Lawrence remembered their big rotting hands exposed outside their cloaks,
"Remus, please find a way to find Sirius, or send him a message, I know it's difficult, but the person we know most about him here is you," Dunburydo said, and Remus nodded,
"Severus, please keep an eye on the three secret passages in the castle that Filch doesn't know, and if Sirius breaks in, tell him about the situation, and bring him to me," Dunburydo said, "Please put aside your prejudices at this time, thank you."
"I'll do my best, Professor," replied Snape, winking, "but I don't think he'll trust me."
"Lawrence, I'd like to ask you to keep an eye on Peter Pettigrew," Dunbury ignored Snape as he continued, "It's a request, and you can choose not to say yes, because it wasn't supposed to be your job."
"I'll do it, Professor." Lawrence replied,
"If you need help, you can come to us, and if necessary, I will allow you to subdue him with a more powerful spell," Dunburydo said solemnly, "I will tell Professor McGonagall about it, I think she has the absolute expertise to force Peter back into shape."
"I have a question, Professor, I've gotten Sirius from the Minister. Blake's news," said Lawrence, "I promised Harry that if he asked, I would tell him what I knew."
"Reckless—" Snape shouted,
"It's up to you to tell Harry what happened," Dunburydo's words swallowed back to Snape's lips again, "I mean the part that includes Peter."
"That's so rash—" Snape could only mumble to the sidelines, 'He's only fifteen,'
"He's sixteen, Severus." Remus reminded with a smile, and he nodded to Lawrence, "Please, Lawrence."
"I'll do my best." Lawrence looked at Crookshank, "Hey, you're going to help me, right?"
Crookshank made a "purring" sound, and he leapt from his bed, his paw grasping Lawrence's robe, and Lawrence picked him up,
"Let's go back." Deng Bulido waved his wand, and the broken planks on the floor flew up, resealing the windows,
The group walked back to the room on the first floor, and they stooped down the passageway, and before exiting the hole, Crookshan nimbly jumped on the tree that beat the willows,
"I think we missed dinner," said Dunbulido, "and I suggested we go to the kitchen together to find something to eat."
"I don't need to, Professor." Snape apparently didn't appreciate the idea, and he turned away and walked towards his office in the dungeon,
"I guess I'll just bring something back to eat, and I'll have to prepare for class......" Remus smiled.
"Well, I'll just bring something back." Lawrence said, "I still have some reports to write."
"Oh, well, everybody has something to do." Dunbury shrugged, "You seem to be idle, the headmaster...... But Lawrence, you still have a report?"
"Actually, I'll have to settle some accounts with Fred and George by the way—" Lawrence replied, "because ...... Some questions, so I didn't finish the report."
"Oh, I know, I must be busy replying, right?" Deng Bulido said kindly, carrying a basket full of food, humming a song and walking away quickly.

Author's Note:
I think many people saw the appearance of Crookshank in the previous episode and guessed that Sirius would be able to escape, and when I wrote this paragraph, I had two options,
One is that Lawrence won't take out the map, so that Crookshank Hill won't have a chance to prompt Peter's existence, and they will be in vain, and Crookshank will only have a chance to prompt again next time, (just kidding, I could have written at least two more chapters over this option.) )
The other is the plot of this article, because I thought about it later, Deng Buliduo will definitely not let go of any opportunity, so let Deng Buliduo instruct Lawrence to take out the map,
The first mode is to follow the plot of the original book, low-intensity confrontation, biased towards "finding out the truth", and then slowly follow the original book as time passes, but the number of words can be a lot, and I can be a lot easier, but!
The second mode is more interesting (for those of me who wrote it), it has deviated slightly from the original book, and because Sirius is gone, time can continue to move backwards, waiting for the final moment, and hopefully I will finish it.
