011 Blake's whereabouts

In the hospital room, they talked about the unpleasant scene,

"Harry!" Fred was the first to notice Harry open his eyes, and he asked nervously, "What do you think?"

"What happened?" Harry sat up abruptly, looking at the crowd around his hospital bed,

"You've fallen," Fred told him, "from fifty feet up—"

"We thought you were dead—" Gryffindor's chaser, Alicia shuddered, and Hermione let out a scream,

"Race—" Harry asked, "What's wrong?"

"We lost, and Cedric found the Golden Snitch." Lawrence's short answer,

"He didn't know what was going on after you fell, and when he turned around and saw you on the ground, he wanted to call a timeout, he wanted to fight again, but they won fairly – even Wood admitted." George said,

"Where's Wood?" Harry asked,

"It's still raining," Fred replied, "I think he wants to drown."

"Don't think too much, things can't always be smooth sailing, you know that, right?" Lawrence stops Harry from pulling his hair,

"We haven't lost yet, we're only 100 points behind." Fred said, "Remember? Ravenclaw has never lost to Hufflepuff."

"You can't catch the Golden Snitch every time." George told him, "As long as we win against Ravenclaw and Slytherin, we still have a chance." (Note 1)

As the Quidditch team members walked out of the hospital room, Lawrence walked out, and before Harry could wake up, they said yes, and Hermione and Ron told Harry about the bad news about Light Wheel 2000.

───────

All day on Sunday, Lawrence tried to find Professor Lupin, but the door to Professor Lupin's office was still locked, Lawrence could only wait until Sunday evening, after he finished his class, Lawrence hurried to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, he knew that this was a third-year class, Professor Lupin might not go so quickly,

As he stepped into the classroom, Harry's conversation with Professor Lupin came to an end.

"I can't say I'm a master at defeating Dementors, Harry, quite the opposite—"

"But if the Dementors show up in Quidditch the next time, I'll have to be able to deal with them."

"Well, okay, I'll try my best, but it's going to be next semester. I had a lot to do before the holidays, and I picked a time that didn't fit me to get sick."

"Professor, I have something for you." Lawrence interrupted them,

"That's a rarity, Lawrence." Remus laughed, "Am I finally going to be able to solve some of your schoolwork problems?"

"It's about the Animagus, Professor." Lawrence said,

"That's Professor McGonagall's specialty," Lemston replied after a pause, "I think you've got the wrong person."

"It's a black dog, Professor, with big feet." Lawrence said softly, and Harry looked at Lawrence puzzled,

"Harry, I'm sorry to trouble you to go back first," Remus was silent for a moment, then turned to Harry and said, "I have something to talk to Lawrence."

"Oh, yes, Professor." Harry nodded, and as he walked out of the classroom, he closed the door with his hand.

"How did you know about this, Lawrence?" Remus asked,

"I remember everything I saw, and in the memories that Professor Dunburydo showed me, I saw Blake's Patronus," Lawrence said, "and I happened to have seen Professor McGonagall's Patronus, and it was exactly like her after the transformation." (Note 2)

"So you saw a black dog?" Remus began to pace back and forth,

"An identical black dog," Lawrence said, "in fact, I fed it at the Screaming Shack on Halloween."

"What?" Remus froze, "Why didn't you report to the professors?"

"He was too skinny to recognize it," Lawrence said calmly, "and I didn't see him again until Saturday when I saw him again at the Quidditch pitch."

「…… How did you get into the screaming shack?" Remus frowned, "From outside the house?"

"Your 'robber's map." Lawrence took out the old parchment scroll, and Remus took a sharp step forward, looking at the perfect map of Hogwarts, representing the two dots of Lawrence and Remus, in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, (Note 3)

"Oh, Crookshank is outside the classroom," Lawrence laughs, "and Hermione always lets her run around."

"I remember the map was confiscated." Remus said harshly,

"Actually, I made a copy of one last year, but I destroyed it." Lawrence said, "Then why didn't you tell Professor Dunbulido about every secret passage, Moonface?"

Remus was bloodless in an instant, he opened his mouth and didn't know how to answer, then took a few steps back and sat down in his chair,

"I trust you, Professor," Lawrence said, "and in fact, I admire you when I know you're a werewolf."

"I admire each and every one of you members of the Order of the Phoenix, for being able to fight against many times as many Death Eaters to protect me you don't know," Lawrence continued, "in fact, I don't know if I can do it." (Note 4)

"But I'm a werewolf." Remus muttered, he looked like he had lost his strength,

"Who cares about those boring little questions?" Lawrence replied, "You are the oppressed side of wizarding society, but you still keep your promise, 'we will be loyal to each other' remember?"

"Jaime...... Peter......" Remus wiped his eyes, his tone a little whimpering, and he suddenly looked up and asked, "So the little round table is still there?"

"The rest of the furniture you've destroyed is still there, Professor." Lawrence replied,

"Oh, well," Remus said, his mood seemed to calm down considerably, and he smiled, "Jaime had suggested that all the furniture should be replaced with new ones, but Sirius—Black said it would break sooner or later."

"I had been hesitant to tell Professor Dunbulido about this," Remus recalled, "and I planted the beating willow the year I was in school, so that I could spend the full moon in the screaming shack."

"My friends noticed my anomaly, but they didn't cut ties with me," Remus's eyes sparkled, "they all became Animagus, because werewolves are harmless to creatures other than humans, and as you have discovered, Blake's transformation is a black dog."

"I betrayed Professor Dunburidos's trust," Remus continued, "and you'll find it hard to deal with someone who once trusted you, but you betrayed him, and I don't know what to tell Professor Dumblido."

"I'm sure Professor Dunburido will only sigh at the beauty of friendship," Lawrence raised an eyebrow, "and he probably won't deduct Gryffindor's score for the school rules you broke in the first place, Professor."

"Oh—" Remus smiled, he was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly, "I think you're right, Lawrence."

───────

"So I've said it many times this year, Professor," Snape was chattering in Dunburydo's office, "can't believe this guy, and now a student has discovered that he's—"

"I trust Remus as much as I trust you, Severus," Dunburidore said to Snape, looking at Lawrence again, winking and smiling, "and if Lawrence doesn't find out, I don't think he's Lawrence, and you might wonder if he's bewildered by Miss Delacour—"

"It's strange to say that, Professor Snape," Lawrence raised an eyebrow, ignoring Professor Dunburydo's teasing, he was just secretly thinking about what to do with Fred and George's accidental 'slippery' account when he went back? "Judging by your standards, I'm afraid that this untrustworthy person includes yourself?"

"You-" Snape glared at Lawrence fiercely, but he subconsciously touched his left arm and stopped talking,

"You two—forget it, if Professor McGonagall were here, you'd be scolded—" Dunburydo shook his head a little amusedly, he picked up the map on the table, and took a closer look at the seven secret passages,

"It's amazing, I guess you didn't try to make another one after this, did you?" Dunbury's sharp blue eyes swept over Lawrence,

"The one that was used against Riddle last year was destroyed, Professor." Lawrence shrugged, "And I'm going to give this one to Harry when this is over."

"Give it to him?" Snape yelled, "You know what you're talking about? This kind of thing should be—"

"I think you're right, Lawrence," Dunburydo said calmly, which made Snape swallow half of his words, "This is Jaime's relic, and I think it's fitting to give it to Harry."

"You said Blake was hiding in the Screaming Shack, and that's good, lead the way, Lawrence," Dunburydo nodded and stood up, "Come along, Severus, Remus?"

"Of course." Snape said coldly, looking at Remus with bad intentions, "You're not going to defect, are you?"

"Actually, I wish I was the first to face him, Severus." Remus said mildly. (Note 5)

Author's Note:

When I wrote this chapter today, I found it weird, the original book described Defence Against the Dark Arts on Monday afternoon, Harry was late?! I thought they were on divination, metamorphosis, strange beasts?!

So I took some time to go back and sure enough, I realized that I had mistimed, and the 2nd of September in the book was not Monday. Trelawney's first class was known at the exact time: October 16 was Friday (well, it's not like the real world).

So their first class this semester was September 2nd, which was Wednesday, and they had already changed two chapters (007 Unexpected Letter &010 Black Pitch) - I felt cheated (mistaken).

But it doesn't matter what it is, it's just a small mistake.

Note 1: Quidditch is a points-based tournament, and the winner is the winner with the highest total score at the end of all matches.

Note 2: In the Basilisk in School 013 in Volume 2, Professor McGonagall used a Patronus, and when she was in Transfiguration, she would act as a cat with a tabby pattern.

Note 3: "Robber" is translated as "raider" in the land version, but I don't think they seem to have plundered anything, so I still use "robber".

Note 4: As mentioned in Episode 5, in the first war, the Death Eaters had a roughly twenty-to-one ratio of numbers to the Phoenix Society, and at that time the Death Eaters would even use the "one for one" tactic.

Note 5: So in the original book, after getting the map, Remus went to find Black.
