047 The Witch of Rose (I)
Most of the seventh year students at Hogwarts have at least three or four courses to take the Witchcraft Test, but not everyone will take the Witchcraft Test exam at the end of the semester, and some people prefer to wait until they graduate to further their studies before going to the Ministry of Magic Examination Authority to take the unified exam.
After breakfast, the long tables of the original four colleges in the hall have disappeared, replaced by single tables, this scene is no stranger to the seventh graders, as the fifth grade classes are called into the hall one by one, the seventh graders are the last to enter the hall, and there are generally not many students in the super-labor witch test class for each subject, so their positions are uniformly arranged at the back,
These exams were not difficult for Lawrence, and he couldn't leave by completing the questions early, so he began to scribble in the blank space of the question paper.
Lawrence first wrote an "L" representing himself, then Selwyn's "S", and Aguiros's "A", and these three letters formed a triangle.
The straight line between the letters indicates the information he knows, such as the transaction and a crown between the "L" and "A", the "silver spear" marked under the "A", the line between the "L" and the "L" is drawn with two interlaced wands, and the "S" and "A" is a question mark.
Then he drew another set of triangles on the right, representing the "P" of the Order of the Phoenix, the "M" of the Ministry of Magic, and the "V" of Voldemort, and then drew an arc to connect the "S" and "M", marking the words "unknown transaction".
Lawrence poked the word unknown deal with a quill pen, and then crossed out the unknown deal, so that he could only admit that he had wasted more than a month studying a clueless matter.
He turned his attention to another trade, wondering that maybe he had made a mistake in the first place, Selwyn was hungry for that crown, and Lawrence was sure about it, so were the two trades related to each other?
"Maybe it's used as a bargaining chip?"
The idea crossed Lawrence's mind and was immediately dismissed, as Selwyn had promised to return the crown to Hogwarts in a year at most, and in this transaction, she had already made a promise of magical effect, which meant that she must be able to decide on the ownership of the item.
The bell rang, and Professor McGonagall, who was proctoring, asked everyone to stop writing, and then waved his wand to retract all the answer papers, Lawrence folded the questions and stuffed them into his backpack, and followed the crowd out of the hall.
There were whispers of discussion everywhere, some happy and some annoyed, but these seemed a little distant to Lawrence, and he doubted more than once that perhaps he should leave school with Fred and George,
The slightly depressed mood lasted for a whole week, and it wasn't until Lawrence heard Umbridge's angry screams during the ancient magic exam on Friday, and his mood improved slightly, and it sounded like someone had let another mudvolley into Umbridge's office, the little creature who could dig deep into the ground and look for any shiny things, and seemed to be causing Umbridge a huge problem.
Not everyone, of course, was happy that Umbridge was in trouble, like Hermione, who was interrupted for an exam and made some mistakes that she wouldn't normally make, which made her angry and bad mood continue all weekend.
Lawrence's last super-labor test ended after Tuesday's magical creature conservation, and on Wednesday morning, after eating breakfast, Lawrence slowly walked back to Gryffindor Tower, intending to catch up on his sleep for a while.
Passing the seventh floor on the way, he hesitated for a moment on the stairs, since the night Professor Dumbledore left, he had never thought of going there, Lawrence turned a corner, and instead of continuing upstairs, he headed for the corridor where there was a requirement,
He began to walk back and forth in front of the blanket where the nerd Barnabas was training the dwarfs to dance ballet, and when he thought for the third time, "I need to know Selwyn's secret," he looked expectantly at the wall where a door should appear,
But it was still a smooth wall, and Lawrence laughed self-deprecatingly, amused by his sudden and inexplicable inspiration, and as he was about to leave the hallway, he stopped again,
"What if...... Could it be another possibility?'
Lawrence went back to the felt, and walked back and forth again, this time thinking about the room that must have existed—'I need a place to hide things.'
It was still a smooth wall, Lawrence took a deep breath and dismissed the idea of returning to Gryffindor Tower, his figure disappearing into the hallway, who was using this room?
At this time, astronomy is a compulsory course, and the fifth grade students should all be taking its written exam, and the students of other grades should be in class.
Perhaps only 7th graders are the exception, how many 7th graders know that there is a room for requirement? Angelina? Plum? Diggory?
Someone who joined Dumbledore's Army should be able to rule out, then it could be a member of the Special Operations Investigation Team...... Montay? He should still be lying in the hospital room, or ...... Selwyn?
Lawrence sat quietly in front of the felt, stealth, and he thought he had to wait until the occupants of the Room of Request appeared.
Time passed quickly, the bell rang several times, and groups of students passed the fork in the road at the end of the corridor, and the noisy voices approached and then disappeared.
Outside, the torches on the walls lit automatically, and the few students who took the shortcut walked quickly through the seemingly unoccupied corridor, their long shadows passing over where Lawrence was.
The night grew deeper and deeper, and the castle fell silent, and the fire on the wall grew fainter and fainter until it was extinguished.
Lawrence moved his numb body, stood up and tried to walk back and forth in front of the felt, to make sure that the room was still in use, he pulled out the pocket watch in his pocket, the time on it was past midnight, tonight was the general witch astronomy test, maybe because of this, the midnight bell was canceled,
An enraged roar came from afar, Lawrence raised his head, the campus was obviously not very calm tonight, the sound of his heartbeat was fluttering, he had a premonition that something was happening, he quietly felt the magic, and the next moment, his sense of touch extended into the distance, and the picture in his eyes continued to change with everything he felt,
He saw a couple who were having a tryst in the hallway in violation of school rules, and Mrs. Loris was near them, so he could only help them pray to Merlin not to get caught,
Peeves is singing loudly in the empty classroom on the third floor, and Filch is running up the stairs on the second floor.
Professor McGonagall poked her head out of her office, and she apparently wasn't out to check on the noise of Peeves upstairs, for she was holding her wand and slowly descending the stairs leading to the castle gates.
Lawrence didn't observe anything else in the castle, and the image in his eyes quickly swept over the turf to Hagrid's cabin, where Hagrid was being attacked by the Ministry of Magic led by Umbridge, who, with the blood of the giant, reflected all the stun spells,
The officials of the Ministry of Magic tried to talk to Hagrid, but Hagrid, who saw that Hound Tooth was attacked, forced the attacker back with a heavy punch, and then picked up the culprit who had knocked down Hound Tooth like a chicken, and then threw it out, the guy flew at least ten feet away, and then fell to the ground without moving.
Lawrence felt as if the castle had 'woken up', and the lights were shining through the windows on the turf, and the cluttered whispers in his ears made him frown,
He was about to retract his senses when the castle door slammed open and Professor McGonagall arrived, and she was about to stop the illegal attack by the Ministry of Magic, but was knocked down by the officials' stun spells.
A wave of anger welled up in Lawrence's heart, and it was no longer time to keep an eye on the Room of Requirement, and he strode up the stairs and hurried to the castle gate as fast as he could.
A figure ran out of the hallway at the corner of the hall, and the moment she appeared, Lawrence raised his wand, and the flame of magic appeared, warning the man not to go any further.
"What are you doing, Rovander?" Selwyn asked in a calm tone,
"I just wanted to ask, what are you doing here?" Lawrence left the problem behind and continued to walk towards the gate,
"I'm here to help Professor McGonagall." Selwyn replied,
"How do you know?" Lawrence jerked his head and asked, "Is the Slytherin common room under the dungeon?"
"I just happened to—"
"Just just happened to be wandering around the school tonight?" Lawrence shook his head with a smirk, "You have excellent evidence to kick Professor Dumbledore out of school, and tonight you did so by kicking Hagrid out and making a trap against Professor McGonagall?"
"No, Rovander—"
"I thought this was your deal with the Ministry of Magic?" Lawrence interrupted her, "How else could they ...... How dare they do this to Professor McGonagall?"
"These professors—" Lawrence paused, not finishing—these professors were members of the Order of the Phoenix, and he didn't believe it was a coincidence.
The members of the Order of the Phoenix arranged in the school are being eliminated one by one, and someone is using the Room of Requirement, he originally guessed that it should be Selwyn, but now it is obviously not the case, but in any case, Selwyn must be involved,
Lawrence put these thoughts behind him for the time being, and strode out of the open castle gates, across the lawn, and crouched down beside Professor McGonagall,
He fumbled in his pocket, and realized that he hadn't been waiting for the glass bottle containing the phoenix's tears, and that he could only cast healing spells that he wasn't so good at, but he guessed that it should make Professor McGonagall a little better,
At this moment, two officials from the Ministry of Magic walked over, and Umbridge was cursing not far away, and she was angry that Hagrid was able to get away in this situation.
"When will Hogwarts allow wizards from the Outer Colonel to enter?" Lawrence stood up and confronted the two sneering wizards,
"We're not just wizards." One of the tall, muscular wizards retorted, "We're employees of the Ministry of Magic."
"Oh? Ministry of Magic." Lawrence laughed, and the other wizard in red robe smiled awkwardly, but the next moment neither of them could laugh,
"Department, name, employee number." Lawrence said softly, "I think the wizarding community will be eager to hear about the Ministry of Magic officials breaking into Hogwarts in the middle of the night?"
"If we refuse, so what?" The red-robed wizard struggled to put on a tough stance,
"That means you can't prove your identity, and I have reason to suspect that you're lying about your identity under current wizarding laws." Lawrence raised his wand, which he had been holding in his hand, "At this time, wizards have the right, law, to defend themselves or refuse to cooperate with any of your intentions."
"What if you know the rules by heart, you don't want to use your wand, do you? Hah," the tall, muscular wizard seemed to see some joke, "what grade are you, and you think you can handle an Auror?" The school's education has regressed to the point where it doesn't even know what the Aurors stand for?"
"Eun Hyung," Umbridge's obnoxious voice sounded, "what's going on here?"
"Someone broke into the campus and assaulted Professor McGonagall." Lawrence's cold response, which originally covered almost the entire campus, has narrowed down to this area, which is some distance from the gate of the campus, but he is ready to hit the school all the way from here,
"They're what I hired, Mr. Rovande." Umbridge said in a sweet tone, "With the consent of me, the headmaster, everything is legal."
"Oh, it's our new headmaster, and he's asked someone to attack the school's staff?" Lawrence scoffed, "This is really interesting news, maybe some newspaper or magazine will be interested?"
"Shut up, Rovande, you're just a student, no newspaper or magazine will listen to you," Umbridge couldn't smirk any longer, and asked haughtily, "and who authorized you to wander around here tonight, at this point in time?"
"It's me."
It was Snape, and with him was Madam Pomfrey, who hurriedly passed past Snape, and then pushed away the officials of the Ministry of Magic, and soon, Professor McGonagall floated safely with the help of magic.
"I think you treated Minerva," Madam Pomfrey stopped as she walked past Lawrence, and she took Lawrence's hand in the hand holding it high with a rough and warm hand, forcing Lawrence to put it down, and she whispered, "You're doing a good job, we'll take care of it next."
"I don't understand what you mean, Professor Snape." Umbridge reluctantly squeezed out a smirk,
"Rovander was helping me make potions," Snape replied without changing his face, "Some potions had to be made at a certain time, so I asked him to help, and Miss Selwyn came to inform me, Professor McGonagall—"
Snape tilted his head, and gestured to Madam Pomfrey, who had already entered the castle, and Professor McGonagall, who was following her, floating unconscious in the air,
"After all, Mr. Rovander is a student at Professor McGonagall's house, and he insists on seeing his dean as soon as possible," Snape nodded and continued, "I agreed to his request, so I'll inform Madam Pomfrey."
"Oh, Professor Snape, this." Umbridge doesn't seem to like such a result,
"Any questions?" Headmaster." Snape said squeamishly, "Maybe you think Miss Selwyn and I are lying? Do you need me to ask Miss Selwyn to come over?"
"Oh, no." Umbridge was a little uneasy, she gave up,
"It's time to go, Rovande, go back to my office and get those failed potions in order." Snape commanded, then turned around and strode towards the castle,
Lawrence took one last look at Umbridge and the officials of the Ministry of Magic before catching up with Snape's wide black robes that fluttered through the night.
