Star sapphire, for example, from Sri Lanka is a gem-quality sapphire from secondary deposits. The royal sapphire and pigeon's blood ruby of Mogok are also from secondary veins. Even the mine that produced Kashmir sapphires is actually next to a river, and Kashmir sapphires are also in the category of secondary ore veins.
Of course, this does not mean that the primary deposit will not produce gem-quality corundum, but the production rate of gem-quality corundum produced by this primary deposit is very low.
However, this piece of corundum native ore vein located under the main body of Nanga Parbat Peak has a probability of more than forty percent of being able to produce gem-quality corundum, which is definitely a maddening number.
