Chapter Twenty-Three: The Secret of the Valley
Kaya looked back at Eligera and Dann, and at the bottom of the valley there was a small stream in which fish swam. It seems that they can improve their food at noon today www.biquge.info the stream is crystal clear, and Dann and Eligera can see the stream at the same time.
"Dane, look, there's a stream there." Eliguela said excitedly.
"yes, I think there must be fish in there, and we have grilled fish to eat today." With that, Dann strode towards the stream, and Kaya rolled up her sleeves and began fishing. It's just that his movements are too stiff, and the fish are nimble in the water.
"It looks like you really haven't been here, or you wouldn't have caught a single fish." Dann said with a smile as he walked over to Kaya's side, and before Kaya could react, Dann already had a small fish in his hand.
The fish was small, but Dann caught it almost effortlessly, much to Kaya's astonishment. He glared at him in surprise and asked, "How did you do that?"
"That's how I did it, you see, isn't it easy." As he spoke, Dan En slowed down his speed of catching fish, only to see him calmly reach out his hand into the water, and those fish seemed to be enchanted by him, allowing him to catch them.
"Those fish seem to listen to you, you're a wizard?" Kaya seemed to have thought of something, and he was very sure that he had only heard of wizards, but he had never seen them. Thinking of the magic that was rumored, it was probably what he saw in front of him.
It's just that Dan En is for the magician, which doesn't seem to have any effect on Kaya, in his eyes, Dan En is still Dan Eng, he will not hurt himself. In fact, Dann will not hurt him, because in Dane's heart, he has already recognized Kaya as his good friend with Eligaira.
Dane could see that Eligaira liked this Kaya very much, so no matter what angle he thought about it, Dann could hardly hurt Kaya.
It's just that Dan En knows magic, and Eli Geira doesn't know about it, and when she hears Kaya say this, she thinks that Kaya has some misunderstanding about Dan N .
"Kaya, I think you've misunderstood Dane, he's not a wizard, he's just ......" Eligaira wanted to say something, but was stopped by Dane.
"No, Eligaira, I have a secret that I have not told you all along. What Kaya said is true, I'm a wizard. It's just that I only know some simple magic, and I'm not one of those powerful wizards you imagine. Dann said that in this dangerous bone forest, Dann didn't want to hide that he knew magic anymore, and only by making himself stronger could he not worry Eligaira.
"But, but you're just a kid my age, how could you use that magic?" The naïve Eligara thought that only adults like her father could use magic, and that children like them would not use magic.
"These magic of mine are innate, and I will do magic since I have a memory." Dann remembered that when he was very young, he woke up in the middle of the night to find his body hanging in the air, he tried many ways to get himself down, and finally, he read out a string of characters that appeared in his mind, and then his body slowly fell.
Another time, when he was just five years old, he woke up very early that day, before dawn. In order not to disturb the rest of others, Dann had to stand in front of the window and wait for the sun to rise. At that moment, Danen saw a fiery red shadow appear in the sky.
The shadow looked a lot like a bird, but if it was a bird, it would be big. Dann didn't think there would be such a big bird in this world, so his eyes kept on the shadow.
The red-hot shadow seemed to sense Dane's call, and it flew in the direction of Dann. The shadow was getting closer, closer and closer, and finally, Dann could see the shadow, which was not a bird at all, but a pterosaur with huge wings.
Dann saw a drawing of a pterosaur in a book, so Dann immediately thought of that book. He ran to his father's window and picked up the book he had been reading the night before.
The creature with huge wings in front of him was exactly the same as the pterosaur in the book. Danen also saw a line of small words on the book, and looked at the line of small words, Danen silently read out the line.
Just as Danen said those lines, the pterosaur seemed to sense something, only to see him hiss, and then disappeared into the air. Fearing that the hiss would wake everyone up, Dann quickly put down the book for fear of going to his bed.
After a long time, no sound was heard, and Dann was sure that they didn't hear it, so he pulled back the quilt and showed his head. I was too nervous just now, so I didn't feel the change in my palm, but when I heard no movement outside, the burning sensation in my palm slowly came through.
Dan En then raised his right palm in a faint light, and found that a strange pattern appeared in the palm of his hand. Because the light was too weak, Dann didn't notice the pattern, and it wasn't until the sun rose in the west that Dann could see the pattern clearly.
It was a pterosaur pattern, exactly like the one Dan En saw in the morning, and when he saw that pattern, Dan En only felt that his heart began to beat violently, as if it was about to jump out.
He felt that the pattern was like some kind of spell, and he wanted to get rid of it, but no matter how much he washed or picked it, it was like it was growing in the flesh, unaffected in any way.
Dann was afraid of being discovered by others and then being treated as an alien, he didn't want that, he didn't want to lose Eligaira, so he desperately searched for magic in the book that could hide the pattern.
These books are not actually magic books, but some of the insights that Gansard wrote when he was creating magic. The reason why the Ghost King reassured Dan En to read these books was because he thought they were just memoirs. Unexpectedly, Danen's words and words recorded at the fingertips have been integrated into his own flesh and blood. Dann has a superhuman ability to understand these words.
Dann found a way to hide the pattern in the library of his memory, and he did just that. No one noticed this change in Dane, so all the worries and fears were borne by Dann silently alone.
