infoHis mother, Tokiwa, was originally a maidservant of Emperor Konoe Nakanomiya Kujo-in, and was known for her beauty as one out of a thousand, and later became the side chamber of Minamoto Yoshitomi.
In 1159 A.D., shortly after Niu Ruo was born, his father Minamoto Yoshitomo was defeated by Taira Kiyomori in the Heiji Rebellion, and then on the way to escape, he was killed in Owari, and the family either died or fled.
Mother Tokiwa fled to the Yamato Mountains with Niu Ruo and Niu Ruo's two half-brothers, Imaruka and Otoruka, and not long after, Tokiwa's biological mother was arrested by the Hei family, and Tokiwa had to turn himself in with his son.
Because of his greed for Tokiwa's beauty, Taira Kiyomori accepted Tokiwa as a concubine and pardoned Tokiwa's biological mother and Niu Ruo's brothers.
A few years later, Tokiwa was married to a nobleman of the Fujiwara clan, and Ushiwaka was sent to Kuramaji Temple (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City) at the age of seven (1165 AD) to study.
Later, he was told of his life by a monk known as the Holy Gate.
Legend has it that one night, Niu Ruo sneaked out of the temple and met the martial arts "Wutengu" in the Monk Valley, which was a strong martial artist
Later, Niu Ruo often escaped to the tengu at night to learn martial arts.
The abbot Dongguangfang was shocked one day when he found that Niu Ruo not only practiced art at night but also tried to bring down the Ping family, although he wanted to force Niu Ruo to become a monk, but Niu Ruo refused, and finally named the Dharma "King of Shanna"
If the ox learns quietly, forget the world.
Legend has it that one day when King Chana was 11 years old (1169 AD), on his way back to the temple, he was passing by a Wujo Bridge when he encountered a warrior monk named Musashibo Benkei blocking the way.
Benkei was carrying out a "sword hunt" in this place at that time
As long as he looked at the swords on the swords, he asked for a contest, and before he met the king of Shana, he had already taken nine hundred and ninety-nine swords.
Benqing fell in love with the golden sword on the body of the king of Shana, so the skill was repeated, unexpectedly, the king of Shana's martial arts was strong, and his body was as light as a swallow.
King Kana, who overcame the rigidity with softness, convinced Benkei, who was powerful and always brave, and from then on Benqing followed King Chana and became one of King Chana's closest retainers in the future.
In August 1180 A.D., Minamoto Yoshitsune's half-brother Minamoto Yoritomo (from the former Emperor of Liang) raised troops to seek peace.
When the news reached Oshu, Minamoto Yoshitsune decided to raise troops after consulting with Fujiwara Hidehiro.
Minamoto Yoshitsune led his retainers Musashibo Benkei, Ise Saburo and Fujiwara retainer Sato Jinobu and the Tadanbu brothers, a total of more than 300 horsemen, to rush to the aid day and night.
It was the Battle of Fuji River, but the Heike army was defeated without a fight, and the battle ended at once, and Minamoto Yoshitsune was unable to participate in the battle until after the battle.
tells the story of the defeat of the Heike army in the Fuji River without a fight, because of the "rumors of the wind"

Yuan Yorichao saw that his younger brother, whom he had never met since the dissolution of the Heiji Rebellion, had transformed from an infant into a majestic general, and his heart was very relieved and moved, and both brothers shed tears of true love.
Minamoto Yoritomo took the example of the ancestor of the Genji clan in Hanoi to get the help of his younger brother Minamoto Yoshimitsu to achieve a great cause, and vowed to destroy the Hei family together with Gen Yoshijing, repay his father, and revitalize the Gen family.
After that, Minamoto Yoshitsune followed Minamoto Yoritomo back to Kamakura, and went all out to pass through the Kanto region and build up his strength.
In September 1184 AD, the Yuan Lai Dynasty deliberately snubbed the Yuan Yoshitsun and only sent Yuan Fan Lai to conquer the Ping family.
Yuan Fan Lai went around to the back of the Ping family and took the Shanyang Road, but for the Ping family to see through, Yuan Fan Lai's army was cut off by Parallel Sheng, and the Guanmen Strait was also blocked by Ping Zhisheng, and fell into the dilemma of lack of food and clothing.
In January 1185 A.D., Yuan Laichao had no choice but to order Yuan Yoshijing to lead the army to the rescue.
In February, Minamoto Yoshitsune set out from Kyoto for Settsu Watarabe Port to prepare warships and aim directly at the Hiikeya Island position.
However, just as he was setting sail, a storm struck, and the military supervisor Kajihara Keitoki, his subordinates, and the captain all thought that it was not appropriate to take risks at this time.
Yuan Yijing rebuked the public opinion, arranged 5 ships with 150 riders each, and then set sail.
Minamoto Yoshitsune's fleet braved the wind and waves and arrived in Shikoku faster than expected, but due to the influence of the wind and waves, it deviated from the predetermined course and docked at Katsuura in Awa.
However, after coming ashore to reorganize his army, Minamoto rode his horse and galloped, and the next morning he marched to the village in front of Yashima.
Gen Yoshijing looked at the Heike camp and found that the Heike Red Flag was vast, the army was in good shape, and there were several ships in the harbor.
Knowing that he was incapable of the enemy and could only outwit him, Gen Yoshitsune set fire to the surrounding villages, pretending to set up a majority of the Genji white flag to create the illusion that a large army was attacking.
Seeing this, the Heike was shocked, thinking that the Ichinoya surprise attack had reappeared, and rushed to seize the ship.
Yuan Yijing took advantage of the situation to rush ashore and quickly rushed into the formation to set fire.
Soon, the Heike discovered the middle plan, turned around and fought back, and the bow and arrows flew together.
Heikyo Sutra, known as the first shooter in the Heike army, released a cold arrow to the source Yoshitsune, and Sato Jixin, one of the four kings of the Genyi Sutra, rushed forward to block the arrow, and the strong arrow pierced the armor, and Sato Jishin fell off the horse with an arrow.
Yuan Yijing immediately dismounted and picked up Jixin, and after Jixin left a few words, he died of anger, and Yijing mourned.
The battle has reached a stalemate, and the two sides have stood still for the time being.
In order to show their own strength and hit Genji's morale, the Heike deliberately sent a small boat carrying a beautiful girl in the mood for love, set up a small fan of Hinomaru with gold leaf on a red background, and went to Genji's position to provoke.
Minamoto Yoshitsune sent Nasu, a famous archer in the army, to engage him.
The boat stopped around the edge of the arrow, the small fan on the boat swayed with the undulation of the waves, Na Xu and a longitudinal horse entered the sea, an arrow shot more than 70 meters away from the small fan, the source army thundered with joy, morale was greatly boosted.
Soon after, due to the Heike mistakenly believing the information that Gen Fan Lai led a large army to reinforce the army, and the Yashima base had been seriously damaged, the Heike decided to abandon Yashima and retreat westward, and the Battle of Yashima ended.
As a result of this battle, the Seto Inland Sea was surrendered to Genji, and the naval forces such as Kono Communications, as well as the samurai groups of China and Shikoku, also surrendered their sincerity to Genji, and the Heike was already facing a situation of exhaustion.
On the mountain road to Mt. Yoshino, Jing Gozen was overwhelmed by his physical strength due to his presence in Rokka, and Minamoto Yoshitsune thought that Minamoto Yoritomo would not poison the woman and children, so he decided to let Jing Gozen go down the mountain and hide.
At the time of parting, Yuan Yijing gave Jing Yu a small mirror in front of him, saying: "May you see lovesickness when you freshen up sooner or later." ”
Then he sent several servants to escort him down the mountain.
However, on the way down the mountain, the servants had evil thoughts and seized the treasure and then fled.
Jing Gozen, who had no way out, was captured by the pursuers at this time and sent to Kamakura.
Due to the arrest of Shizunomae in the mountains, the monks and soldiers of Mt. Yoshino knew that Minamoto Yoshitsune and his party would be hiding in the mountains.
The monks and soldiers were afraid of offending the source and inviting a large army to come to conquer, so they decided to go up the mountain to arrest the source Yoshijing.
The monks beat the drum and began to assemble.
Benqing heard the sound of the drums, went down the mountain to snoop, and saw the monks wearing armor and knives, and hurriedly returned.
Minamoto Yoshitsune believed that the monks were familiar with the mountain and could not be defeated, so they prepared to shift their positions and flee elsewhere.
At this time, Tadashi Sato, one of the four kings of Genyoshijing, knew that the battle could not be won and escape was inevitable, so he decided to give up his life in the palace to protect the lord from danger.
Gen Yoshitsune knew that Sato Tadashi had made up his mind, and remembered Sato Jishin, who sacrificed for himself in the Battle of Yashima, and felt that today's farewell was a farewell to death, and he was speechless and sad.
Tadanobu Sato took a few of the remaining loyal and brave generals since the expedition to Oshu and ambushed the pursuing monks.
Tadanobu Sato and the monk general Yokokawa Satoru Fan started a death fight, and finally beheaded Satoru Fan, the head of the sword, the monk soldiers were frightened when they saw this, and Ming Jin retreated, but Sato Tadanobu's generals were all killed.
Tadanobu Sato later sneaked back to the Horikawa Imperial Palace in Kyoto alone, where he was discovered by the Hojo Tokimasa defenders, and after a fierce battle, he killed himself.
In the early morning of April 30, 11** A.D., Fujiwara Yasuhiro's retainer Nagasaki Taro led 500 cavalry to raid Gen Yoshitsune, who was stationed in Takakan (also known as Kinokawakan).
When Minamoto Yoshitsune's retainers found out, they quickly confronted him: Benkei, Ise Saburo, Masuo Juro, Kataoka Hachiro, Suzuki Saburo, Kamei Rokuro, Washio Saburo, Bizen Heishiro, and other eight people stuck to the entrance gate, and Kizota climbed onto the roof, used the window panel as a shield, drew a bow and sniped the enemy.
Gen Yoshitsune was ashamed of dying at the hands of Fujiwara Yasuhiro's retainers, and was unwilling to fight, so he entered the Buddhist hall alone to recite sutras and prepare for suicide.
In order to protect the lord and die peacefully, the retainers of the Gen Yoshitsune sacrificed their lives for a decisive battle with the consciousness of death, and each killed many people and died heroically or killed themselves.
Legend has it that Benqing saw that the general trend had gone, entered the temple to say goodbye to the source of the scriptures that were chanting, met on the Huangquan Road as a companion, and then returned to the battlefield, waving the knife like a dance, there was no difference between people and horses, and suddenly the blood mist was filled, and the corpses were everywhere.
The enemy was unable to fight in close combat, so the archers were exhausted, and ten thousand arrows were fired at once, and in an instant, Benkei's body was full of feather arrows.
But I saw that Benqing still did not see death, and the long knife was slashed indiscriminately, and the appearance was terrifying.
Suddenly, Benkei's sword was retracted, and he stood proudly like a statue of the Buddhist Nioh (Dharma Protector Vajra), the corners of his mouth seemed to be smiling, and his body was as motionless as a mountain.
The enemy did not know whether Benqing was alive or dead, and no one dared to come forward to investigate for a while.
Later, Benkei was knocked down by a horse, and everyone knew that Benkei had already died (this is the famous "Benkei Death" in Japanese history)
)。
After chanting the sutra, the source Yoshitsura returned to the bedroom, and the sword of the country and the four-year-old daughter Kamezuru before and after the knife was cut by themselves.
Gen Yoshijing's turbulent 31-year career ended in tragedy.
First of all, Fujiwara Tadahiro, the younger brother of Fujiwara Yasuhiro, believed that Fujiwara Yasuhiro's move violated the will of his father Fujiwara Hidehiro, and opposed Fujiwara Yasuhiro to submit to the shogunate.
Therefore, on June 26, 1188, Fujiwara Yasuhiro attacked Fujiwara Tadahiro's residence and killed Fujiwara Tadahiro.
The ruthless Minamoto Yoritomo claimed that the Fujiwara clan harbored the Qin criminals after using Fujiwara Taiheng, and on July 19, 1188, he personally led a large army to the north to conquer.
Fujiwara Taiheng anxiously defended, saying: "In the past, everything was dictatorial to my father Xiuheng, and now he has killed the righteous scripture according to the order of his command. ”
However, Fujiwara Yasuhiro still did not understand that Minamoto Yoritomo was determined to be in the world, and he could not allow the Fujiwara clan to rely on himself.
Fujiwara Yasuhiro set fire to the residence before Minamoto Yorito's army arrived, abandoned the city and fled north.
On September 3, 1188, Fujiwara Yasuhiro was killed by his subordinate Jiro Kawada, and the head was delivered to Minamoto Yoritomo on September 6, and then buried in the golden hall of Chusonji Temple, the ancestral tomb of the Fujiwara clan.
The Fujiwara clan, who has dominated one side for several generations, was destroyed less than half a year after the death of Gen Yoshitsune, adding a little embarrassment to the end of this historical tragedy.
Yoshitsune Minamoto was one of the greatest genius military strategists in Japanese history.
At the end of the Heian period, there was no concept of tactics, believing that the victory or defeat of a battle was determined by the strength of the samurai's individual fighting ability.
But Yoshitsune's idea of war has gone beyond the limitations of the time.
In his view, the army is a group, not just a collection of individuals, and the battle plan must be considered from the perspective of the group.
He was the first person at the time to view the battle in this way.
Yoshitsune Minamoto is a household name and one of Japan's most popular heroes, known to the Japanese as a rival to China's overlord Xiang Yu, who helped his brother Minamoto Yoritomo gain control over all of Japan.
His extremely bumpy background, highly accomplished martial arts, extraordinary strategic wit, victorious achievements and tragic life endings have made everyone sigh, so he has become an enduring popular protagonist in Japanese dramas, films, television and video games.
