A digression, about the Pure Sutra

Lao Jun said: The avenue is invisible, and the world of fertility is born; The avenue is ruthless, running the sun and the moon; The avenue is nameless, and all things are nourished for a long time. I don't know its name, but I am called it.

Those who are masters of the Tao are clear and turbid, moving and quiet. The sky is clear and turbid, the sky is moving and the earth is quiet; Men are clear and women are turbid, men are moving and women are quiet. Reduce the cost to the end, and give birth to all things. The source of turbidity is clear, and the foundation of stillness is moving. People can always be quiet, and heaven and earth will return.

The lady is so clear, but her heart is disturbed; People's hearts are quiet, and lust is involved. He can always send away his desires, and his heart is quiet; Clear their hearts, and their minds are clear. The natural six desires are not born, and the three poisons are eliminated. Therefore, those who can't do it are not clear in their hearts, and their desires are not sent. Those who can send it look inside their hearts, and their hearts have no hearts; The appearance is its shape, and the shape is not its shape; Looking at things from afar, there is nothing in them. There is no one of the three, but it is seen in emptiness.

The view of the sky is also empty, and the emptiness is empty. There is nothing, nothing and nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing, and silence. There is no loneliness, and lust can not be born. Lust is not born, it is true quiet. It's really always what it is, it's really always available. Always be quiet, always quiet!

Possession of all things is the birth of greed. Covetousness is affliction. Troubled and delusional, sorrowful and physically and mentally, they will be humiliated, wandering in life and death, often sinking into the sea of suffering, and forever losing the true way.

The way of truth, the enlightened self-satisfied. Those who have attained enlightenment are always quiet!

Translation: Lao Jun said: The avenue is invisible. Fertility world. [Between heaven and earth, it seems as if it were empty, and there is no form to speak of; But the heavens and the earth, though disembodied, can give birth to all living animals and plants, inanimate sand, stones, and many other objects between heaven and earth. 〕

The avenue is unforgiving. Run the sun and moon. [The operation of heaven and earth has no emotion to speak of; Although there is no emotion, there seems to be a feeling between heaven and earth, which makes them constantly function. 〕

The avenue is nameless. Nourish all things for a long time. [Heaven and earth, it does not know its name, therefore, there is no name to call it; But though it has no name, it nourishes all things, nourishes them, and enables them to continue to grow. 〕

I don't know its name. Strong name said. [This is indeed a very mysterious question, even I (Lao Tzu) don't know the reason for it, so I don't know how to call it, so I just reluctantly give it a name, called "Dao"!] 〕

The Husband. [This "Tao" is indeed too mysterious, and its encompassing is too broad, why?] 〕

There are clear and turbid. [Because of this "Word"; Sometimes, there are places that are pure; Sometimes, there are places that are very dirty. 〕

There is movement and stillness. [Sometimes, there are places where things are moving; Sometimes, some places are quiet. 〕

The sky is clear and turbid. [For the heavens were pure, and the earth was clouded.] 〕

The sky is still and the earth is quiet. [Just as the movement of the heavenly bodies is a flowing form, the essence of the earth is a still thing.] 〕

Men are clear and women are turbid. [Men belong to the body of pure yang, and women belong to the body of turbid yin.] 〕

Men move and women are still. [Men are outward, active; The woman is inward, static. 〕

Cost reduction. and all things are born. [Therefore, the qi of pure yang is ascending, and the qi of yin is descending.] If the pure and yang qi of all things cannot be preserved, then the original spirituality of all things will easily decline; If the original spirituality of all things falls, it loses the mastery of its nature; If all things lose the mastery of their nature, they are prone to lustful thoughts, and their thoughts and actions will naturally flow to the end of the lower body. If the thoughts and actions of all things flow at the end of the lower body, there is a combination of yin and yang; If all things have the intersection of yin and yang, all kinds of reincarnation will naturally grow. 〕

The source of turbidity. [Purity is the source of impurity, for if a water source is clean upstream, it is filthy downstream.] 〕

The foundation of the mover is still. [The things that are moving are only the basis of stillness, like all buildings, which are the result of activity, which shows that the power of activity is only the basis of stillness, and only stillness is the fundamental way of all things.] 〕

People can always be quiet. Heaven and earth are all gone. [Therefore, if a person can always keep pure and quiet, all the heavens and the earth and all things will be summed up in human nature, and this is the foundation of learning the Tao, but the foundation of learning the Tao is ignored by everyone.] 〕

Madame is very clear. And the heart disturbs it. [For example, people's primordial spirits originally liked to be quiet, but they were disturbed by the acquired gods.] 〕

The heart is quiet. And want to pull it. [The human mind is the same, and it is also like to be quiet, but it is all drawn away by greedy desires.] 〕

He can always send his desires. And the mind is quiet. [Therefore, if a person is able to get rid of these greedy desires, the human mind will naturally be able to be pure.] 〕

Clarify their hearts. And God clears itself. [After filtering this mind, our primordial spirit will naturally be able to wake up.] 〕

Naturally, the six desires are not born. Three poisons are eliminated. [In this way, the six desires of the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind, which are in contact with them, will naturally not be disturbed, and the toxins of the three "greed, foolishness, and resentment" will be naturally eliminated.] 〕

So those who can't. For the heart is not clear. I want to be unsent. [But some people just can't do it, this is the nature of this person's mind, and the relationship has not yet been clarified, so there are still some desires that have not been expelled.] 〕

Those who can send it. Vipassana the mind. The heart is not there. [If one can get rid of these desires and attain purity, then you look at your own mind, and even your own mind will feel gone.] 〕

The appearance of its shape. There is no form. [If you look out at all the forms, they are not forms anymore.] 〕

Look at it from afar. Nothing is there. [Even if you look at an object in the distance, an object in the distance is not an object.] 〕

None of the three. Only in emptiness. [If these three "minds, forms, and things" can realize that everything is illusory, then the mind will be empty and nothing.] 〕

The view of the sky is also empty. Nothing, nothing. [If you can do this, seeing the void of the sky is also illusory, and even this illusion can see through and see the void; 〕

There is nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing. [That is, all is gone; Now that we know that everything is gone, what else can exist in the mind? It's all just a faΓ§ade. 〕

Nothing, nothing, nothing. Silence is always there. [Since we know that everything is false, we should not even cling to these false appearances, and we should not even be attached to false appearances, which is a state of stillness.] 〕

There is no silence. How can desire be born? [When the stillness of the mind reaches the point where there is no mind that wants to be still, how can desires arise?] 〕

Desire is not born. That is, true stillness. [When you are able to attain the desire for greed and not give birth at all, you will be able to attain true tranquility.] 〕

It's really always the right thing. [When the mind reaches a state of true tranquility and then applies and practices everything, it is naturally at ease.] 〕

It's really common. [The one who can be at ease is the one who can keep the truth, the one who is always pure, the one who can keep the truth, the one who is always quiet, the one who has attained the knowledge of one's own mind, the one who knows one's own nature.] 〕

Always be quiet. [A person who is able to attain the realization of his own mind and his own nature can always maintain a pure mind, whether in a place of chaos or in a place of tranquility.] 〕

It's always quiet. [A person who can always maintain a pure mind is a truly pure person.] 〕

It's so quiet. Drift into the truth. [A person who has attained true tranquility has gradually entered the true way; 〕

Entering the truth. It is called enlightenment. [Since you have entered the true path, this is what the monks call "enlightenment."] 〕

Although the name is right. Nothing. [But even though it is called "enlightenment," it is really nothing to gain.] 〕

For the transformation of sentient beings. It is called enlightenment. [However, in order to alleviate the ignorance of the common people in the world, I gave the name of "enlightenment" as a term for others who have attained the Tao. 〕

The One Who Can Understand. You can preach holy words. [Now I (Lao Tzu) have said this, if you can comprehend the people, you can spread this true and noble sage path.] 〕

Taishang Laojun said: The sergeant has no dispute. The corporal is quarrelsome. [Therefore, I (the Supreme Dao Ancestor) said: The highest and most wise people have no desire to fight, and only the lowest people without wisdom can have a greedy and contentious heart all day long.] 〕

Virtue is not virtue. Lower virtue and virtue. [The highest virtuous person does not say that he is virtuous, but only the lowest virtuous person says that he is virtuous, because he is a stubborn and obstinate person!] 〕

The Persistent. Unclear morality. [Therefore, a stubborn person will often say that he is virtuous, but in my opinion he is a person who does not know what morality is.] 〕

Sentient beings are therefore not able to attain the true path. for delusion. [Why can't sentient beings enter the true path?] It is because he often has an illusory delusional heart; 〕

Delusional. That is, to astonish his god [since he has an illusory delusional heart, he has already disturbed his own primordial spirit; 〕。

It was astonishing. That is, all things. [Since he has disturbed his own primordial spirit, his primordial god is greedy for all things that are visible; 〕

All things. That is, greed. [Since the covetousness of all things visible arises, there arises some unnecessary cravings; 〕

Born of greed. That is, troubles. [Since unnecessary greed arises in the mind, there are troubles of evil thoughts and delusions in the mind; 〕

Delusions of annoyance. Sorrow for body and mind. [Since there is the affliction of evil thoughts and delusions in the heart, it will bring the pain of sorrow, and since it brings the pain of sorrow, it will disturb one's body and mind; If you disturb your body and mind, you will naturally commit wrong acts; 〕

and he was insulted. [If you have committed wrong deeds, you will dishonor your own spirituality, and since you have dishonored your own spirituality; 〕

Wandering life and death. Often sink into the sea of bitterness. [You will wander in the cycle of life and death, and since you will wander in the cycle of life and death, you will sink in the vast sea of suffering; 〕

Forever distorted. [Since you have sunk in the vast sea of suffering, you will lose the true way forever.] 〕

The way of normalcy. The enlightened are self-satisfied. [And the truly long-lasting avenue can only be obtained by those who have comprehended!] It's not someone else who can give it to you; 〕

Those who have attained enlightenment. It's always quiet. [Therefore, the person who can truly comprehend the Great Dao is, in a nutshell, a person who always keeps his body and mind quiet!] 〕
