Chapter Eighty-Five: Vacation
When he and his eldest brother Albert returned home in a laughing and talking, Mrs. Harris was already busy in the kitchen.
Only the youngest son, Alan, needs to attend Hogwarts and can't see each other for a long time, and Mrs. Harris misses Alan very much. I adjusted the class early, and deliberately set aside this afternoon's time to clean up a table of delicacies, all of which are Allen's favorite dishes.
"Eat, Ellen, the food at Hogwarts is good, but it's better for Mom to cook. Hearing Lunn's compliment, Mrs. Harris smiled and brought Alan a large bowl of mushroom soup.
While eating and chatting, Alan told his family about the interesting things that happened at Hogwarts, and the story was even more exciting than what really happened. The family was amused.
"Harry, such a brave boy! Alan will be a guest this holiday if I have the opportunity to invite him over. "After listening to Harry's experiences, Mrs. Harris has a very good impression of Harry!
"I'd love to know, who's going to win this year's House Cup?" Lunn said solemnly, and before Alan could answer, he added, "It can't be Slytherin, is it?
"Ravenclaw. Looking at Lunn's surprised expression, Alan was in a good mood and said, "It's our house, Ravenclaw, that won the House Cup." ”
"Well done, that's outstanding!" Lunn raised his glass to Alan in relief.
"Alan, how are your test scores?" Mr. Harris gently asked about Alan's test results after Allen had added three meals in a row.
"All full marks, first place in the grade. Alan told the truth, his expression was very calm.
"Are you kidding?" Albert was so surprised that he forgot to put the cured meat on the fork in his mouth.
"No way, no one has ever been able to get all the perfect scores. Lunn had an incredulous look on his face.
"Alan, did you really get all the perfect marks and be the first in your grade?" Mr. Harris didn't think it was strange that Allen could get first in his grade, but he really had never heard of all of them.
Allen suddenly stood up and walked towards the bedroom.
Mr. Harris's family looked at each other. "He's not going to be angry, is hesitant?" asked Daisy, hesitantly.
"Alan is not a stingy person. Albert believed in his brother's abilities and even more in Alan's character.
"Maybe it's because we've seen through the lie, I'm sorry?" Lunn really didn't believe that Alan could get all the perfect scores, as a former top student, he knew too well how difficult it was to get a full score!
Fortunately, before Alan left Hogwarts, he found Professor Flitwick and issued a certificate of achievement, otherwise, it would have been a lot of trouble!
Alan rushed into the bedroom and pulled open the suitcase. While changing Muggle clothes on the Hogwarts Express, he shoved his wizarding robes into the crate. At this point, the robe had to be pulled out again, because the results were hidden in the sleeve of the wizard's robe.
Returning to the dining room again, he handed the certificate to Mr. Harris. Alan picked up a red sausage again, barely eating anything on the Hogwarts Express, and he wasn't interested in snacks like weird beans and chocolate frogs.
"It's really all out of the mark! There's Professor Flitwick's autograph underneath!" Mr. Harris looked at the certificate in admiration, as if he couldn't get enough of it.
Mrs. Harris leaned over and looked at the proof with a look of delight.
Daisy and Lunn looked at each other, surprised. Albert has become the most calm person except for Allen, and he has fought side by side with Allen, and he knows Allen's strength. Compared to an underage wizard who can defeat a plesiosaur, it seems that it is not surprising that he can get a perfect score on all of them!
"I'm going to hang this certificate on the wall!" said Mrs. Harris, happily taking it, measuring where it would stand out.
"Alan, you're going to be written into the history of Hogwarts!" Daisy and Lunn looked envious.
Alan smiled modestly and got up to make black tea to ease the mood of the overly surprised family.
By the time he was seated again, Mr. Harris was already thinking about what reward to give him. "Alan, what do you want as a reward?" Mr. Harris asked for Alan's opinion.
"I want to go out and travel and see different scenery and different people!" Alan now has time and money, but he wants to walk around. It's a shame to say that in his previous life, as a teacher, he never went abroad. People often say that we need to cultivate a scientific and correct worldview, but we have never seen the world, so where does the worldview come from?
"Well, it's true that our family hasn't spent a vacation together for a long time. Why don't we all take a few days off and relax. Mr. Harris sighed with some emotion, people are middle-aged, and there are endless and trivial and complicated official and private affairs, and there is really little time to spend with their families. Alan is so good and refreshes their perception time and time again, and Mr. Harris feels that he really cares too little about the children!
Alan saw Mr. Harris's expectant and guilty face, and swallowed the words back into his stomach. What he wanted to say was to go out on a trip and see the world by himself. I didn't expect Mr. Harris to understand that he was traveling with his family.
In the same way, Albert, Lunn and Daisy, who were already working and sensible, all saw Mr. Harris's mood and did not object. The little sister, Emily, was so excited that she was jumping around the room with a fluffy toy rabbit in her arms.
The next conversation successfully shifted from what Eren had seen about Hogwarts to where to go on vacation. Albert and Lunn both tend to go to mysterious adventures with ancient wizarding legends, while Lady Harris and Daisy tend to go to the beach, and how pleasant it would be to swim and taste ice cream on such a hot day!
Given that Emily was also traveling at the same time, Mr. Harris finally decided to go to the beach.
After three days of studying and playing alone with Emily at home, Alan finally agreed on time and could travel together. They chose to head to Cornwall Beach.
The sky is beautiful, and on the day of their trip, the sky was blue and far-reaching, and the sun was shining brightly. The endless turquoise sea, the clean and fine golden sand, the ancient and elegant seaside town, the winding coastline, the colorful hot air balloon fluttering in the sky...... The beaches of Cornwall are stunningly beautiful!
"What a great place for a summer getaway!" said Allen, smiling as he walked on the beach as he watched Daisy scream and run out to sea like a child.
