Lin Yi was in a daze, not knowing what rare books were hidden in this pile of broken books, so that he could smell such a strong fragrance of books. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. ļ½ļ½ļ½Uļ½Eć ļ½ļ½ļ½ļ½
Li Weimin is a little pity in cleaning up some of the thread-bound books that have been damaged by the moisture, for him, although these thread-bound books are old enough, but most of them are traditional characters, and they don't read smoothly, if it's really like Lin Yi said, it's good to be able to sell them for a lot of money, but the mess in front of him is broken, and it is estimated that no one wants to throw them to the scrapyard.
Condition, which determines the price of the collectible.
Unless it is a rare treasure of the Song and Yuan dynasties, otherwise a remnant like this is really not of much value.
Lin Yi saw that Li Weimin didn't pay attention to himself, so he took a deep breath, and then followed the strong fragrance of books and began to move a large number of thread-bound books away.
One book after another.
This is not, that is not.
No, not yet.
Those thread-bound books were removed by Lin Yi one by one. Although they were already very dilapidated, Lin Yi was still careful when he moved, trying not to let them "hurt and bruise". Because these ancient books look tattered, but they can still be repaired and restored.
You must know that most of the thread-bound books are folded into "tube paper" with cotton paper or other paper, and then bound, so when we look at the thread-bound books, we will find that each page of the thread-bound book can actually be separated to form a tube. If you know how to repair ancient books, you can disassemble the thread of the thread-bound book, and then repair the tattered or missing pages with the techniques of "mounting" and "repairing".
In fact, "ancient book restoration" is a very profound technical work, often those very powerful ancient book restoration experts can do "out of the magic hand rejuvenation", repair an ancient book, from the page to the spray of water flattening, fill holes, slips, columns, staple twist, staple and other traditional binding, repair process, can blind your eyes.
As far as Lin Yi knows, the most famous "master of ancient book restoration" in China today is a cow named Dai Mingju in the Shenyang Museum.
Inherited from his father, he was able to mount the ancient paintings and calligraphy, no matter how damaged, and his most famous restoration took place in 1985.
It is said that in 1985, Shenyang excavated the Tawan Pure Light Relic Pagoda and found the "Dizang Bodhisattva Sutra" in the underground palace
Tawan Pure Light Relic Pagoda is the building of the Liao Dynasty, but this Buddhist scripture is published in the Ming Dynasty, and placed on the offering table of the underground palace, this is the earliest ancient book unearthed in Shenyang so far, divided into three volumes, there are more than 400 pages. When it was unearthed, it was placed on the offering table in the underground palace and had been sleeping underground for more than 350 years. Due to the dampness and dirt in the ground, the covers have been eroded, the edges of the book are badly damaged, the pages are sticky, and the paper is brittle and slaggy, and the chances of this artifact surviving are slim if it is not restored immediately.
In order to show this Buddhist treasure to China and the rest of the world, the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics is preparing to hold an exhibition in the Pure Light Relic Pagoda. However, how can it be seen to the world when it is broken like this? So after several considerations, it was finally decided to repair the "Dizo Bodhisattva Sutra" and asked Demingju to come and remedy it in person.
After decades, Dai Mingju successfully restored nearly 1,000 pieces of Ming and Qing Dynasty paintings and calligraphy in the collection of the Shenyang Palace Museum.
When Dai Mingju saw the set of Buddhist scriptures, he was embarrassed. Book, with a light touch of the hand, the paper will become powder, the sleeve was originally decorated with very valuable silk, but now the original pattern can not be seen at all, and the decorative carton under the silk has become a puddle of paper clay. In previous repairs, he had not seen any damage to this extent.
When Demingju returned home, he closed his eyes and recalled the appearance of the set of books one by one, and also recalled the secret techniques that his father had quietly told him before his death.
I just thought about it and pondered it.
Boldness of execution stems from superb skill.
First, he decided to immediately soak the book cover with a special drug, rinse, descale, and then reframe it.
But what about the pages? The difficulty was too great, and the pages were glued together and became a piece of paper.
The experienced Demingju picked up the needle cone, carefully picked up the paper page by page, and then, holding his breath, took them off with small tweezers and placed them on a piece of backing paper. Page by page, he let out a sigh of relief. Because in the process, the fragile book actually did not break. That's half the battle. At this time, he said that he had grabbed the "bull's nose" of repairing this set of ancient Buddhist scriptures, and not only could it not run, but in the next steps, it had to follow every step of the way.
The restoration framer uses a small brush to wet the loose pages little by little, and then cleverly holds a layer of rice paper behind them. He noticed that a few pages had fallen off the slag, so he quickly picked them up and glued them one by one. After all this is done, a few layers of rice paper are lined to absorb water, and finally, the front lining paper is removed, and it is leveled after drying.
The entire restoration process took three full months. During this time, Demingju kept his door shut and put all the skills that his father gave him to use.
In September 1985, the "Dizo Bodhisattva Sutra" was displayed in front of the world intact, and what people saw was a set of antique "new books of Buddhist scriptures", and the cultural relics at home and abroad exclaimed "miracles". After restoration, this cultural relic was assessed as a national first-class cultural relic.
Therefore, for many precious ancient books, they are not necessarily worthless if they are broken, they must be thrown away, as long as they meet someone who cares, they can be well repaired and rejuvenated.
Of course, for Lin Yi, Lin Yi has a secret skill, that is, to use his aura to restore and regenerate ancient books. I have restored the "Tea Sutra" and "Buddhist Sutra" before, and the effect is quite good. But for Lin Yi, it is also very energy-consuming and aura-consuming, although in the restoration can occasionally use the spirituality of ancient books to nourish aura, but there are not many rare books like this after all.
Therefore, Lin Yi did not plan to use his precious aura to collectively repair these relatively ordinary ancient books in his hands---- in other words, even if he had this heart, he couldn't do it, after all, seven or eight thousand books, such a large amount of tiredness could exhaust him to death.
So Lin Yi's plan is very simple, that is, to find valuable rare and ancient books, unique ancient books, or his favorite ones in these thread-bound books, and then use his ability to repair them.
Lin Yi's calculation is perfect, so now it depends on what kind of treasures are worth his shot in this large pile of rags.
ā¦ā¦
Finally moved those scattered, off-line, and broken thread-bound books, and Lin Yi saw at a glance that there seemed to be a large-open --- book pressed underneath.
The moment this book was revealed, Lin Yi's nose immediately smelled an extraordinary fragrance of books, and various pictures of the activities of ancient craftsmen were conjured up in front of him.
A man in ox-nosed shorts, shirtless, standing on a vat and sweating profusely dyeing cloth.
A woman wearing a brocade skirt and a headdress, was squatting on a small bench at the moment, rolling up her sleeves and grinding jade.
An old lady in an old-fashioned bun and dressed in old-time clothes is sitting in front of a spinning wheel and slowly spinning cloth.
A group of black-faced men shouted trumpets to mill in the grain field, smelt iron in the factory, water the fields, and make wine in the winery......
Lens Transition---
A large group of people in ancient costumes crowded on an arched bridge, and they all looked up at the sky, only to see a round object flying from the sky, suspended in the air, like the sun, shining brightly.
Then a line of text appeared in Lin Yi's mind: In Jiayou, there is a very big pearl in Yangzhou, and the sky is obscure, first from Pizezhong, Tianchang County, and then transferred to Yongshe Lake...... As the first sun shines, but in the distance I see the sky red like wildfire, and it is far away, and its line is like flying, floating in the waves......"
ā¦ā¦
Everything was so full of life and weirdness, these things suddenly appeared in Lin Yi's mind, as if they had been stored for a long time, and now they appeared.
"Jiayou, isn't it the era name of the Song Dynasty? Then this book is ......" Lin Yi didn't hesitate, picked up the book, and was stunned when he looked at it a little, this ancient book is the famous --- "Dream Creek Writings"! (To be continued.) )
