Chapter 34: The Quidditch Match
Dudley looked at them for this banner, Ron was too a chicken thief, and he made this on the sly alone.
"Good drawing, Ron. Dudley looked at the lion on the banner, which was already very vividly painted. "Hermione gave you a spell here, and I'll add a spell to your banner later, so I'm sure it will stun you. β
"Harry will be pleasantly surprised. Ron shook the banner and shouted, "Gryffindor will win." β
Meanwhile, in the locker room, Harry and the rest of the team were changing into their bright red Quidditch uniforms, all gearing up to beat the Slytherin team.
Wood cleared his throat as he looked at the excited players. They all fell silent in an instant.
"Well, now is the time. β
"It's going to be a big moment. Fred Weasley said.
"We are all waiting for this moment and we will win this year. George Weasley said.
"Shut up, you two. Wood was very worried about the Weasley twins, and he said, "Of course I know, this is the best team Gryffindor has been in years, and we will win!"
"Come on, come on!" Wood clenched his fists and shouted.
Harry and the others were encouraged by Wood's will, and they shouted in unison, "Come on!"
Wood clapped his palms and said, "Okay, it's almost time, good luck to everyone." β
The Gryffindor and Slytherin teams appeared on the field at the same time, flying around the course on broomsticks and hovering in the air.
"Hello everyone! This is the first Quidditch match of the year at Hogwarts, and today the match between Gryffindor and Slytherin is between the two teams. β
The court suddenly boiled, and the wizards of the two academies cheered for their respective academies.
"I'm the commentator for this contest, Lee Jordan, please remember my name. Lee Jordan said playfully.
"The players from both sides are in place, and now the referee is stepping into the field and the game is about to begin. β
In Quidditch matches at Hogwarts, the referee is Ms. Hodge. She walked to the center of the court, clutching her broomstick in her hand.
"I want everyone to be able to play at a level and in style. Ms. Hodge said solemnly, glancing at Marcus Flint in the air, who not only looked a bit like a miniature troll, but was also the most noisy in previous years.
At this time, Harry spotted Dudley in the crowd, Ron was waving a banner high, and Harry reached out a hand and waved it vigorously at them.
Dudley looked at Harry in the sky and grinned, it was time for him to perform, Harry suddenly became uneasy, whenever Dudley showed that smile, something must have happened.
Dudley stood behind the banner, and he tapped the lion on the banner with his wand.
The lion on the banner moved, and if Dudley hadn't stopped Ron, he would have thrown the banner away.
The lion writhed in the banner as if it had just woken up, and then poked its head out of the banner and let out a deafening roar.
At this moment, Dudley and the others became the most beautiful boy in the field, and the lion stepped out of the banner unhurriedly, hovering in the air, but there seemed to be an invisible floor dragging it under his feet. It walked slowly upward, step by step like a minion, it was the pace of the devil, and it was so arrogant and domineering when it walked, without any lion nature.
"It's... That's what you call a surprise. Hermione looked skeptical.
"yes. Dudley couldn't believe it, the lion looked a little arrogant.
"It's really like you. Hermione said.
Dudley pursed the corners of his mouth, and he really couldn't be blamed for it, because this was a mature lion with his own thoughts.
The lion finally hovered over the center of the arena, its body so powerful that even from such a distance, its sideburns could be seen glowing golden in the winter sun.
"Whew!" the lion roared, and then the lion spat out, "Come on Harry Potter! Gryffindor will win! Long live Gryffindor!"
The first to react was Professor McGonagall, who snatched the brass horn from Lee Jordan's hand, which was cast with an amplification charm.
"Mr. Dursley. Professor McGonagall's voice was very angry, but with a smile in the corner of her eye, she said, "Please stop the spell and don't interfere with the game." β
Hermione hurriedly pushed Dudley, but Dudley didn't remove the spell immediately, but waited for the lion to shout a third time before stopping the magic.
"Cool!"
"Handsome!"
"Merlin's beard!"
Dudley's ears rang with the admiration of the young wizards around him, and then in the ensuing cheers, the momentum of the Gryffindor wizards directly overwhelmed the Slytherin side.
"Great appreciation, thank you Mr. Dursley for the performance, Gryffindor will win!" said Lee Jordan as he retook the horn.
"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall glared at him.
"I'm sorry, Professor. β
Lee Jordan began the official commentary: "Bludger takes off, followed by the Golden Snitch, and the team that catches the Golden Snitch first will receive 150 points, and the game will be over. β
Mrs. Hodge tosses the Quaffle.
"The Quaffle is thrown, the game begins!" said Lee Jordan's voice full of excitement.
Lee Jordan, who was only three seconds old, said: "The first to get the Quaffle was Gryffindor's Angelina Johnson, who is really a good chaser, and she is also very charming, for example, she charmed me......"
"Jordan, if you don't explain it seriously, you don't have to explain it. Professor McGonagall felt that having Lee Jordan do the commentary was the worst decision she had ever made.
"Johnson was running with the ball, she gracefully dodged Marcus Flint who came to grab the ball, it was almost there, it was almost there, she had a header, could Slytherin goalkeeper Blachch block it?"
"No, the goal is in! Gryffindor gets 10 points!"
The cheers of the Gryffindors echoed through the cold air, mixed with the roars of the Slytherins.
Dudley's heart was beating fiercely with the goal, "Quidditch seems to be good, maybe I can consider this career after graduation." β
"You can't fly!" Ron said suddenly.
"Ron!" Hermione looked a little annoyed, but she immediately smiled, "What a big truth." β
"You two!" Dudley nodded at them, "Do you want to me off and inherit my little coffer?"
"Do you have one?" asked Hermione.
Dudley smiled awkwardly and said, "Watch the game, watch the game, you see it's now Marcus Flint, the captain of the Slytherins, who got the Quaffle!"
The game continued, and the Quaffle Ball was very intense, alternating between the hands of the two teams.
"Oh my God, the Quaffle came to Flint again, and he sped over the crowd and threw it straight at goal. He's about to score... But there was no goal!"
"Wood is worthy of Wood, and with a beautiful broom flick, he stopped Flint's attack. β
"Bibi multi-flavored beans, licorice magic wand, creamy toffee, pumpkin soda. Does anyone want it? Borrow, let it go. β
"Hagrid?" Dudley saw Hagrid struggling through the crowd with a large plate of snacks, and it was a real embarrassment for such a tall body to walk beside the crowded little wizard.
"It's you. Hagrid was overjoyed to see Dudley.
DalΓ and the others squeezed each other to make room for Hagrid.
"Are you selling something?" asked Ron, confused.
Hagrid nodded, and he said, "Recently, I wanted to buy something but had some money, so I had to take this opportunity to come out and sell some snacks." β
He asked, "Do you want some?"
"Okay, just in time, I'm a little hungry. Dudley took three of each from Hagrid's plate and handed them to Ron and Hermione, and asked, "How much?"
"This... You just forget it, no need to do it. Hagrid said with a smile.
"Well, you're out selling snacks. Dudley felt in his pocket, but luckily he had the money, and he put a gold galleon on his plate.
"It's too much, it's worth it. β
"It's okay, I don't have any change here, if I can't sell out, I'll keep it, and we'll go to your place to eat after the game." β
"Okay, then you remember to come over after the game. β
After Hagrid left, Dudley watched the excitement as he ate his snack.
Angelina Johnson scored again, and now Gryffindor is fifty points ahead.
Harry rode his broomstick and flipped a few times in the air to express his joy. Suddenly, he saw a golden light, which made him so excited that he finally saw the snitch's trail, and he swooped down directly to chase the golden streamer.
Slytherin's Seeker, Terence Higgs, also saw it. The two flew side by side towards the snitch, and the chasers seemed to have forgotten what they were supposed to do, hovering in the air one by one, watching.
Harry was faster than Higgs, and he could see the little ball, flapping its wings and flying in front of it. He jerked up again.
"Bang!"
There was a roar of rage from the Gryffindors in the stands, only for Marcus Flint to deliberately lunge Harry, and Harry's broomstick jerked off course, but Harry grabbed it tightly.
"Foul!" the Gryffindors protested loudly.
Ms. Hodge angrily scolded Flint and then ordered Gryffindor to take a free-kick at the post. But the penalty was meaningless, and in the chaos, the golden snitch disappeared from sight again.
In the stands, Dean Thomas shouted, "Referee!
"It's not football, Dean. Dudley shook his head helplessly, he actually applied the rules of football to Quidditch, he was a talent.
"What's the red card?" Ron asked curiously.
"It's a rule in football that you send off someone who fouls someone. Dean Thomas explains.
Hermione agreed with Thomas.
"The rules should have been changed, and Harry was almost knocked off. β
