Section 302 The assassination of the Song Dynasty is the main envoy
Now that the first arrested suspect in the Song case has been arrested, we might as well take a look at the origin of this one. Ying Kuicheng is a character with a complex identity. He was born in Ningbo in 1864, a Bingjun, and later changed to Guixin. His father was a stonemason who made his fortune by selling land with the government. It is similar to many of the CPPCC members who got rich first by actively assisting the government in land acquisition, so Ying Guixin children's shoes have been familiar with this kind of thigh-hugging work since childhood.
Ying Kuicheng was a young man, and later learned English in Shanghai, loved to squander, easy to make friends, and had a wide range of contacts, he was a big man in the "big" generation of the Youth Gang, and he was also a "big" character Fan Gaotou, because he was implicated in the uprising of the Self-Reliance Army and operated the underworld trade, he was detained by the patrol room, but he successfully broke the wall and escaped from prison. In 1906, Fan Gaotou was executed by the Qing government, Ying fled Shanghai, and changed his name to Ying Kuicheng. Since then, he has donated to officials, done antique business, and run a new-style school.
During the Wuchang Revolution, Ying Kuicheng used financial resources and the party to seek information for the revolutionary party. After the liberation of Shanghai, he became the chief of the espionage section of the General Staff of the Shanghai Military Governor's Office of the Revolutionary Party. Later, Chen Qimei, the governor of Shanghai, sent him to escort Qiao Fu to Nanjing, where he served as Sun's guard captain and chief of affairs, and was later transferred to Huang Kedi's command. However, he soon returned to Shanghai to organize an organization that united the Youth Gang, the Hong Gang, and the Elders' Association: the Chinese National Advancement Association, and served as its president; Later, he was appointed by the revolutionary party's Jiangsu governor Cheng Dequan as the chief inspector of Jiangsu in Shanghai, although Jiangsu is the territory of the national defense army, Cheng Dequan, the governor of Jiangsu, is equivalent to the mayor of Nanjing, but his appointment still made Ying Guixin's children's shoes have an official skin. In the government, on the rivers and lakes, he can be regarded as a figure with a head and a face.
Compared with the arrival of Ying Guixin, the gangster who assisted in the investigation, the arrest of the direct murderer Wu Shiying is even more unexpected. The day after Ying Kuicheng's arrest, the Concession Patrol Office went to Ying's house to search for evidence and found a suspicious person, who was identified by witnesses at the station and hotel tenants, and was undoubtedly Wu Shiying. Later, a pistol that had fired 3 bullets was found in Ying's house, and the specifications of the bullets were the same as those used to assassinate Song Dunchu.
After Wu Shiying was arrested, he happily confessed that he was a native of Shanxi and had worked as a pipe band (battalion commander) in Yunnan. Five or six days before the assassination, I met a man surnamed Chen in a teahouse. On the 19th, Chen asked him to join the Communist Association and sent him to kill a "traitor". He agreed. After dinner the next day, Chen gave him a pistol, and a group of four people took a train to the train station, one watched the wind outside, and the other three bought platform tickets to enter the station. Chen pointed out to him who Song was and he shot shortly after Song came out of the lounge. After the assassination, he fled to Ying Kuicheng's house, and Chen had already arrived first, so he handed over the pistol to Chen. He also met Ying Kuicheng and praised him for doing a good job, but he only got 30 yuan for the promised 1,000 yuan in compensation. In fact, until the end of the assassination of Song, he didn't know who he assassinated, that is to say, Song Dunchu, the prime minister of a big country who was very likely to form a cabinet, was actually sold for 30 yuan, compared to Brother Jesus, the degree of grief is no less.
After Ying and Wu were arrested, a preliminary trial was conducted in the public concession court. Surprisingly, in the second preliminary trial on August 4, Wu Shiying retracted his confession in court that he did not know Ying Kuicheng and that it was his sole idea to assassinate Song, because Song Dunchu wanted to be prime minister, wanted to overthrow the revolutionary central government, and was a sinner for 40,000 compatriots. This confession made everyone present dumbfounded, and asked Wu Shiying about his understanding of the revolution, but he didn't know anything, he only knew that the revolution was rebellion, and it was to kill the emperor. Not only do people sigh that the revolutionary party's rebellion is so strange that even the level of collusion is so strange, and this ruling party is really humiliating.
Wang Afa, who claimed to sell calligraphy and paintings for a living, testified that he had been introduced by his friend Wu Naiwen that he had gone to Ying Kuicheng's house to sell paintings. You should take out a photo and ask him if he can murder the person above, and after the deed is done, he will be rewarded with a thousand oceans. He didn't dare to agree, so he went to find his friend Deng Wenbin, a revolutionary party member, who was a bodyguard, and Deng repented after agreeing. The conversation between the two was overheard by Deng's employer, Zhang Xiuquan, who reported it to the police station, and then Deng accompanied Wang to the public concession to report the case.
However, Ying Kuicheng never admitted that it was related to the assassination of Song. He said that he had indeed met Wang Afa, but at that time Wang had come to apply for a job with Wu Naiwen's letter of introduction. As for buying a murderer, "I can't say anything [to him] if I'm mad." There are a lot of people in my association, so why bother looking for such people." He said that he didn't know Wu Shiying either, and that he was kept at home because Wu claimed to have killed Song Dunchu, and he wanted to stabilize Wu and find an opportunity to deal with it, and speculated that the main messenger either assassinated the party, or the opposition party, or the people in the party who opposed Song. Ying Guixin's answer was also chic, but until the day before her arrest, she still allowed the murderer to wander on the street, and I really don't know how credible the statement of stabilizing the murderer is. However, no matter how the people of the whole country questioned it, the revolutionary party believed it, and their newspapers accused the Ministry of Industry and Bureau of favoring the north, and Ying Guixin was a revolutionary father and an anti-Qing aspirant, and would never commit the act of buying murder or murder. However, he forgot that in the revolutionary years, whether it was Chen Yingshi or other leaders of the revolutionary party, there were no fewer assassinations, and it was not uncommon for them to use knives and guns against their comrades if they disagreed. As for the former leaders of the Hui Party, who were dissatisfied with the revolutionary party's attempt to share the fruits of victory with the revolutionary party by crossing the river and demolishing bridges, it was not the only case that they used revolutionary violence to suppress them.
Naturally, the clamor of the revolutionary party was echoed in the south, because many industrial and commercial owners, intellectuals, and even grass-roots officers in the army had a tendency to flee north in the areas controlled by the military leaders, and the rich had no way to be blackmailed, and those who had knowledge were yearning for the research atmosphere and scientific research foundation of universities and scientific research institutes in Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beiping, Tianjin, and other places, and as for the officers, it was even simpler, on the one hand, the strong strength and orthodox brand of the national defense force. On the other hand, there is the openness and transparency of the appointment system in the Defence Force, as well as attractive welfare packages. The guys who consciously had two brushes and were unsatisfactory in these cronyistic warlord teams left the team one after another, turned north, and went to change into a tweed iron gray military uniform to wear. For example, Zhu Shouren, the captain of the Yunnan Army who returned from Shaanxi, and Zhu Yunjie, came to hang a seal and seal gold, and went straight to the Kunming garrison of the Shandong Chamber of Commerce with only a change of clothes. Via Myanmar, I took a boat to Saigon, and then transferred to Shanghai to Qingdao. At the beginning of the second year, he went to Jinan Mansion, and was specially approved to enter the preparatory class of Zaolin Military Academy to study, although he was already thirty years old, he still did not have any worries about being a cadet, and after he participated in the European War, he returned to school to study for two years, and when he graduated, he was already the commander of an armored regiment of the National Defense Forces, of course, the future marshal may not grow up as much as his previous life, at least not as a marshal. However, he is also a famous general in the army.
The seven pre-trials of this world-renowned court did not reveal any eyebrows. After that, the assassination case was handed over to the Chinese side by the Ministry of Industry Bureau. Cheng Dequan, the governor of Jiangsu, and Ying Dehong, the chief of civil affairs of the Nanjing government, together with Chen Ying, director of the Shanghai Procuratorate, and others took over the case, mobilized manpower to inspect the evidence collected from Ying's family (including a pistol, two bullets, three cipher codes, seven packets of evidence by correspondence and telegrams, a large wooden box, a suitcase, and a leather bag), and jointly stamped and photographed all the important evidence. Late at night on August 15, Cheng and Ying telegraphed and released some of the evidence. The name of Hong Shuzu, the former secretary of the State Council directly under the Beijing government, has surfaced.
Hong Shuzu, whose name is Yinzhi, was born in 1855 and is the great-great-grandson of the famous Qing Dynasty scholar Hong Liangji. According to media reports at the time, this person was good at drilling camps, and claimed to be a columnist, who worked under Liu Mingchuan and Zhang Renjun, and was repeatedly dismissed and even imprisoned for crimes (embezzlement and bribery, forgery of land deeds, theft and sale of mines, etc.). During the Wuchang Revolution, he advised Tang Shaoyi to discuss with Feng Guozhang, proposing that on the one hand, he coerced the northern forces to contact the south; On the one hand, it is a plan to use the power of the South to coerce the North and finally transform the empire into a republic. Later, he boasted that he had drafted the edict of the abdication of the Qing Emperor.
Later, he was directly in charge of Beijing, Hong Shuzu served as the secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and his immediate boss was Zhao Bingjun, the chief of internal affairs. Later, Tang Shaoyi's prime minister was dismissed by Cao Kun, Zhao was reappointed as prime minister, and Hong remained in the Ministry of the Interior. At the beginning of June, Hong went to Shanghai and other places in his private capacity to investigate the party's forces, and asked someone to write a letter of introduction to Ying Kuicheng in advance. The two are both "big" bosses of the Green Gang, and they were introduced by an intermediary, so they hit it off at first sight. At that time, because of his participation in the Hubei Mutiny, Ying Zheng was wanted by Li Yuanlong, vice president and governor of Hubei, and Hong Shuzu went back and forth, in order to win amnesty and the post of chief inspector of Jiangsu in Shanghai, he asked him to disband the members of the Hui who disturbed public order, and accompanied Zhang Yaoqing, vice president of the Ying and Communist Association, to Beijing. At that time, there were many people in the revolutionary party who stepped on two boats, but Wu Chenxuan's threshold was high, and this kind of leper dog was not accepted, so few of them could be recognized by the autonomous government of the northern provinces
Among the evidence released by Cheng Dequan and Ying Dehong, Hong and Ying exchanged many letters and telegrams, but at first they talked about agitating the Hui Party and the Communist Progressive Association to take control of Shanghai and welcome the Wehrmacht into Shanghai (the Wehrmacht withdrew from Shanghai after Lu Yongxiang surrendered and declared Shanghai a demilitarized city, which also became one of the evidences for the Nanjing government to criticize the Wehrmacht for betraying the country to seek glory and curry favor with Britain, the United States, France, Japan and other powers. However, the Nanjing government itself did not have the courage to send troops into Shanghai to take over, so Chen Qimei, the governor of Shanghai, not only did not have any soldiers, but a large number of young brothers of the Green Gang were fighting the world. I really don't know if this Overseer is the army or the Black Society. And so on. On June 1, Hong suddenly said in the letter that "a big topic is always worth making a fierce article", and told him to burn the letter after reading it, but he did not do so.
The next day, Hong added a letter, saying, "The important article has revealed a little sentence, saying that there must be a drastic move, and my brother must send a secret message to us before the question to ask for a ......." On the same day, he sent a secret telegram to Hong Shuzu with a special password, mentioning Song Dunchu for the first time, saying, "Qiao Huang Li and Song Dynasty movements are extremely fierce, Li and Wai are all funded by overseas Chinese, and the Civic Party is the main one to promote Song as prime minister." …… I have purchased Qiao Huang and Song Bad History from Japan, Huang Ke's female portrait, the police department for copying, Song committed fraud and criminal votes, printed 100,000 copies with photos, and planned to distribute ...... from Yokohama"
On June 5, Hong sent two express letters, informing him that after the telegram was sent to him, he would find a way to forward it to the Ministry of National Defense in order to advance to Lord Wu.
Since then, Hong has repeatedly urged him to send "the cause of Song's fraud, the ticket, and the video (photo)", but to no avail. Finally, impatient, he wrote to Ying on June 16, "A discerning man must set up a proper law (always to take the print), or there may be drastic action...... and a week later he promised to "destroy the Song Dynasty's honor".
On the same day, he sent a letter to Hong and took the initiative to put forward a plan to "go to Song": "...... It's a matter of planning, and I want to draw the salary method for the bottom of the kettle. If you don't go to the Song Dynasty, there will be infinite right and wrong, and I am afraid that the overall situation will be disturbed. …… In a hurry, there will be a day to recover. Please leave it at that. The next day, he sent a telegram to Hong, saying, "The bandits of Liangshan are disturbing everywhere again, and the danger is so great that an urgent order has been issued to try to arrest them, and they are begging to be forwarded for instructions." ”
On the 18th and 19th, Hong sent two secret telegrams asking him to "do it immediately" and "do it quickly".
At two o'clock in the morning on July 14, a few hours after Song Dunchu's assassination, a secret telegram should be sent saying that "the urgent order has been reached, please report it first." At 9 o'clock, he sent another secret telegram saying that "the bandit leader has been destroyed, and our army has no casualties.
Two days later, Ying Kuicheng was arrested, and upon learning of the news, Hong Shuzu immediately fled from Shanghai to Qingdao German Concession to avoid trouble. On 3 May, he issued a telegram defending himself, saying, "Over the past year, the party has been fighting for Japanese dramas, and there have been many strange things, which has plunged the whole country into a state of anarchy, and his heart has been painful." Therefore, he wanted to "commit a violent Song Dynasty, ruin the reputation of the Song Dynasty, and make the people abandon it, so as to break the ...... of his party autocracy," but he "had no intention of taking his life," and the word "destroying the Song Dynasty" should not be used as evidence for murder.
Although there was no instigation from Wu Chenxuan or anyone from the National Defense Army from beginning to end, it is not difficult to see from the words of Hong, Ying and others that they were soliciting merit and rewards by assassinating the Song Dynasty and paving the way for defection to the north. This shows that the culprit behind the assassination of Song is Wu Chenxuan and Wu Daguan, who are lying on the gun.
It is not practical to say that Wu Chenxuan said, "ask the lawyer to study all the evidence in detail", and any unbiased person can come to a conclusion similar to Cheng Dequan and Ying Dehong through objective analysis of the confidential documents published. By analysing those letters alone, the revolutionary party had already come to a conclusion.
It is not difficult to imagine that, in fact, if the people involved in the first place, who had been able to freely access these raw materials, had been able to think objectively, and had sufficient sense of justice and courage, it would have been difficult to come to an objective conclusion. It's a pity that these people didn't do this, because the interests of the party bit the Wu family to kill the Song family. Regarding this kind of sweeping practice, Wu Chenxuan can only say:
Shame through the ages,
Laughing and smiling.
In other words, "Your festival is broken, and I don't bother to bird you, let everyone see the joke." "The propaganda of the revolutionary party is getting louder and louder, and apart from the newspapers in the concession area, the Japanese newspapers are also sarcastic, and all other parties are silent. Even several senior generals of the Wehrmacht, who are usually hot, are silent, as if they are waiting for something.
