Section 301 Confusion and Arrest of Murderers
No matter how indifferent the common people are, anyway, the newspapers and periodicals in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Jinan, Beiping, Guangzhou, and other places are in full swing in the past few days all about speculation about the Song case, and some even portray the details vividly. It seems that the editors of these newspapers are Heckel. Paul's reincarnation is the same.
As early as July 23, at the memorial meeting held by the revolutionary party in Shanghai, a dignitary of the revolutionary party bit a certain important person in the north to death as the mastermind of the murder: Sun Wu falsely accused "a certain authority of the army" as the mastermind; Shen Manyun accused "murder in military uniform"; What did Ma Junwu, the representative of Jof's condolences, say: "The death of Mr. Song was really at the hands of the bureaucracy"; Wang Zhaoming directly denounced the autonomous government of the northern provinces as an "autocratic government," a "fake republic," a "robber government," and a "murderous organ," and openly appealed: "We must prepare methods to deal with it, and if we can't deal with it, we will overthrow it." If you do not win, you will be followed by a bloody battle"; Pan Zhongyin shouted: "He is not the one who killed Mr. Song, but the Wu family is also a traitor!" Following Mr. Song's unfinished ambitions, we should first not recognize Wu as the head of the Northern Autonomous Government";
Wu Chenxuan said weakly, "I am the Minister of National Defense, and I have never been the head of the autonomous government of the Northern United Provinces, and the chairman of the joint meeting of the autonomous government is Xu Juren, Xu Lao." You scolded wrong, do you want to change it and scold again? Xu Juren showed his admiration for this undisciplined boss with a pair of hygienic eyes.
The revolutionaries scolded Qi Qi, no one wanted to care about Wu Chenxuan's justification, and it was common for them to scold wrong. Anyway, the revolutionary party will scold the wrong if it is wrong, and it will not be okay to admit the mistake. You have the ability to come to Nanjing to bite me, Wu Chenxuan has always had no confidence in his lower limit, but when the revolutionary party scolded people with full firepower, Wu Chenxuan found that he had even done the bad things of "kicking the widow's door and digging up the grave of the household", and suddenly felt that the evil deeds he did were actually nothing, at least compared with the evil devil depicted by the revolutionary party, the real self can be regarded as pure and innocent. At this point, the bigwigs on both sides of the military and government who were meeting together gave a standing ovation in agreement, and at the same time expressed their sincere admiration for their boss for continuing to break through the shameless lower limit, and then collectively turned around and ran to the faucet to clear their stomachs.
Lu Songcheng, a representative of the revolutionary party in Zhejiang, said: "I say that there is no one else who is the main culprit, and he must be the one who wants to be the hegemon of the north." Huang Yingbai also called for the overthrow of Wu Chenxuan and other northern bureaucrats: "We must overthrow the Wu family." If you want to overthrow the Wu family, talk about our people, the old will die followed by the young, and the male will die followed by the woman. Even in terms of the 20,000 people present at the meeting today, why can't Wu be defeated?! ”…… The strangest thing is that Wu Tingfang, a jurist who studied in Britain and chief justice of the Nanjing Provisional Government, also attended the meeting, but turned a blind eye to the words and deeds of the comrades who wantonly trampled on the law! It seems that it is really "as deep as the sea when you enter the leather gate, and you are a passerby from now on".
It can be seen from this that what the "southern faction" of the revolutionary party was really concerned about at that time was not to find out the truth through legal means, but to use this case to overthrow Wu and eliminate once and for all their hidden worries about Wu Chenxuan and other local turtle bureaucrats stealing the country. Therefore, the assassination of Song was not actually a murder case for them, but a powerful tool of political struggle, through which the political goal of overthrowing Yuan could be achieved. As for Cai Heqing, these former revolutionary comrades hope that the revolutionaries will "be humane and for the sake of the overall situation, and they must make both legal and factual things equal." It is completely wishful thinking. Qiao Fu, Hu Chuanru and others are not concerned about humanity or the overall situation, and they are not interested in following legal principles and respecting facts.
Therefore, the so-called differences between the two factions within the revolutionary party, "legal settlement" and "armed settlement," are nothing but a struggle of means, and the "settlement" does not refer to the investigation of the Song case, but to use this to bring out the results of Lao Wu. Song Dunchu died on July 16, Ying Guixin was arrested on the 23rd, the secret documents were found from Ying's house in the concession on the 24th, and Qiao Fu arrived in Shanghai from Nanjing on the 25th. This is why they have been shouting with their eyes closed all the time, only focusing on fighting down Lao Wu, and have no interest in chasing down the real mastermind through court investigation.
It is understandable that the revolutionaries are doing this, but it is the royal historians of the revolutionaries who are most unforgivable. Needless to say, even overseas historians such as Ding Zhongjiang and Tao Juyin dared to dance to the tune set by the revolutionary party in their historiographical works, and deliberately omitted important points from the full text of Ying Guixin's self-defense. We cannot but lament that the difficulty of the study of Chinese history lies entirely in the fact that the imperial historians of the revolutionary party and other politicians have deliberately created obstacles for future generations.
However, in the Shanghai market, it is not actually the revolutionary party's "Wu Clan's assassination of Song" argument that prevails, and many people of insight are aware that this is related to the recent parliamentary election, as the revolutionary party that lost the general election. Although Qiao Fu strongly invited Song to Ningning to discuss state affairs, in private, the revolutionary party hated this comrade three months ago very much, and the party planned to clean up the door, and there were not a few traitors who were punished. When Song was first killed, one of his assistants, Kita Yihui (who later became the originator of the Japanese fascists who advocated the invasion of China, but not the bronze saint of the Phoenix Seat), was also in Shanghai and witnessed the burial of the body. Because he spontaneously organized a fact-finding team to investigate the Song assassination case, he was ordered to return to China by the Japanese consul in Shanghai. In the later publication of "The Foreign History of the Chinese Revolution", he believed that the mastermind of the assassination of the Song Dynasty was Chen Yingshi.
The claim that Thorn Song was Chen Qimei's instigator was very popular at the time. One of the reasons is Chen's habit of assassination. One of the most famous examples was the assassination of Lu Zhengxiong, vice president of the Guangdong Hongxing Association, who also belonged to the revolutionary camp. The murderer is Chen's right-hand man, Chang Kai. There is such a passage in Chang Kai's diary: "Reading the letter from the Prime Minister (Qiao Fu) to Mr. Cai Heqing, the crime of Indignation Hongxing and Lu Zhengxiong cannot be punished. The rest of the land is out of the great righteousness of the revolution and the party, and the rest of the people are responsible for themselves, without any intention of seeking merit or knowledge. However, the Prime Minister's final belief in me and those who value me did not start from this incident, but Yu and Prime Minister never mentioned this matter. ”
Another reason is that Chen Qimei has a deep relationship with Ying Kuicheng. Chen Qimei, born in Huzhou in 1878, came to Shanghai in 1903 and worked as an assistant accountant in a silk store. Because his younger brother Chen Qicai helped the Qinggang boss Fan Gaotou's subordinates win the lawsuit, Fan took the initiative to marry Chen Qimei, so that Chen Ye jumped into the "big" generation. Around this time, Chen Qimei became acquainted with Ying Kuicheng. In 1906, after the Fan Gaotou Incident, Chen Qimei went to Japan, first studied police law at the Tokyo Police Superintendent's School, and then transferred to the Chengcheng School founded by Qiao Fu to study military affairs. In 1908, he returned to Shanghai to set up a secret organ of the League and recruited Ying Kuicheng into the association. Ying's house has a lot of houses, and Chen Qimei often borrows them in case of confidential incidents.
Chen is known as the "Four Victories" in terms of art, ideas, methods, and actions, and it is said that at that time, there were his henchmen in every corner of Shanghai's theaters, teahouses, bathhouses, restaurants, and brothels. At the end of July of the 34th year of Guangxu, the General Assembly of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Party was established, and he was elected as the Minister of General Affairs.
During the revolution, some bigwigs of the party also came forward to work for the revolution. After the liberation of Shanghai, Chen Qimei became the governor of the revolutionary army in Shanghai, relying on the party members to control the venue by terrorist means, and the chief of the spy section of the staff department of the governor's office was Ying Kuicheng. Later, a communal meeting should be organized, and the initiator listed first in the newspaper advertisement was Chen Qimei.
Before Song Dunchu left the revolutionary party, Chen Qimei, Ying Kuicheng and others held a banquet for him, intending to bridge the contradiction between Qiao Fu and Song Dunchu. During the banquet, Chen asked Song about the strategy of forming a cabinet, and Song replied that "the Grand Duke has no party". Chen Moran scolded him: "You are simply a traitor to the party, I must give you a retribution." As he spoke, he was about to pull out his pistol and was dissuaded by the others present. Song said, "There is no fear of death, and there is no ambition." And so they parted unhappily. Shen Xiangyun in Shanghai was Chen's important adviser and an undercover agent at Chen Qimei's side for the development of the Intelligence Division, from which it was learned that many people in the revolutionary party hated Song deeply, and Chen and Ying had been secretly dealing with Song for those days. Shen's inference was that Song might have had an accident, and the Shanghai station of the Intelligence Investigation Bureau had also reported to the headquarters, but the approval of the Boss He of the Intelligence Investigation Bureau was "closely monitor, do not alarm", and Song was indeed assassinated a few days later.
Soon after Song Dunchu's assassination, a police officer went to the scene to investigate, and learned from the waiter at the station bar that when Song was resting in the parliamentarian's reception room, three people frequently snooped outside; When Song walked out of the reception room, two of them retreated to the fruit stall in the southwest corner of the platform, and the other stood in the middle of the platform, most likely the murderer. Although the Shanghai police are complicated, many people are already undercover agents or collaborators in the two places of the situation, and Shanghai Allah is still acquainted, so under the supervision of the two places, the enthusiasm for solving the Song case is very high, which makes Qiao Fu and others speechless, when did this gang of black dog skin uncles be so concerned about the affairs of the Revolutionary Party (Civic Party), but some people should not be able to sit still.
On the 14th (the day after Song Dunchu's assassination), someone at the Liuye Hotel on Baoshan Road reported to the police station that a tenant was very suspicious. This person's name is Wu Shiying, who is short in stature, has a fierce face, and lives in embarrassment. On the day of Song Dunchu's assassination, a man surnamed Feng came to him with three or four people. After that, Wu was overjoyed and borrowed 3 dimes from the tenant next door to go out. At 8 p.m., he came back in new clothes and repaid the loan of 3 dimes with 1 yuan. The tenant next door said: Why do you use so much! Wu held dozens of dollars in his hand, and said proudly that there would be a thousand more after the deed. After saying that, he went out. He didn't go back to the hotel that night, and came to the hotel early the next morning to settle the room money and moved out.
On the same day, two people went to the public concession to patrol the house to report that the assassin Song was the chairman of the Chinese People's Communist Party, Ying Kuicheng. Later, two more people (one of whom had been here before) reported the case for the second time, saying that the antique dealer Wang Afa also knew about it. On the evening of the 23rd, there was a third report. The patrol house first approached Wang Afa for questioning, and then took action. At midnight, Ying Kuicheng, who was drinking in Yingchun Fang, was arrested.
At this point, the case has taken a turn for the worse, which has caused many later historians to speculate. Of course, conspiracy theorists even doubt whether anyone is secretly manipulating all this, but in the memoirs of Wu Chenxuan, He Minhan, Yu Jian and others, they all have a unified voice on this matter, and only talk about the handling of the incident after the fact, but they do not mention whether they have obtained information before the incident and what measures have been taken to promote the investigation of the case. However, the two persons in charge of the Intelligence Bureau and the Shanghai Station of the Coordination Bureau later recorded in their files that the work performance of that year was excellent, and I am afraid that the Tao in this is not enough for outsiders.
