015 Move into the ward
The effect of waiting for the rabbit was quite good, and I soon ran into a few more people in white coats. Although I kept calling "director", the effect didn't seem to be very obvious. There are those who don't care at all, there are those who ignore it, and there are those who are as cold as ice...... I didn't meet anyone who was kind or helpful. Perhaps, these people are pursuing the principle of "nothing to do with themselves". If it is other industries, it can be forgiven, but this is a medical industry that treats diseases and saves people! How many people believe that a doctor who does not have a sense of helpfulness believes that he has a good work ethic? It seems that the extremely poor reputation of the Municipal People's Hospital is not all groundless slander.
As the saying goes, "if you are poor, you will change, and if you change, you will be successful", I had to change my strategy and ask the nurse instead. Fortunately, nurses are not like doctors, there is a so-called difference between themselves and other patients, as long as it is in this ward, they have to take care of all of them. Therefore, as soon as I inquired, the nurses checked the records as quickly as possible, and then told me to rest assured that the patients in the 38th bed were discharged today, and after they had moved all their belongings, we could be transferred to the ward.
At this point, the problem of the ward was finally completely solved. In the process, I gained a very deep understanding. In today's society, the higher the status and the greater the power, the more difficult it is to get along with. For example, today, doctors, especially attending doctors, must have far more status and power than ordinary nurses, but it is precisely because of this that these doctors are self-righteous and over-eyed.
Ordinary nurses should be considered the lowest level of the hospital, but it is precisely because of this that it is easier for ordinary people like me to communicate with them and have a common language.
It didn't take long for my father's bed to move into the ward and officially register as Bed 38. In the future, we will be stationed here for a long time. So, as soon as I moved into the ward, I noticed the layout inside.
On the middle cabinet on the east side is a color television of about 21 inches. Closets are filled above and to the right of the TV. The bed number is indicated on the closet. The closet space is quite large, and it should barely be enough for patients and their families who live there temporarily. There is also a row of closets on the left side of the TV, but it is much simpler, there are no doors, just one compartment at a time. It is also not divided into beds, and it should be regarded as a public errand storage area.
Directly opposite the TV is the 38 beds, lying on the bed right in front of the TV, it should be said that it is the best place for leisure and entertainment (watching TV). There is one bed on each side of the thirty-eight beds. The south bed leaned against the window, and it was supposed to be the best place in the room. Of course, opening the windows is also the place where the air is freshest. The bed on the north side is next to the toilet. Although the light is a little dim, the impact should not be very great for patients who need to rest. Moreover, the quickest and most convenient location to go to the toilet is a good place for family members who take care of patients.
The northernmost cubicle is the bathroom. The flush toilet is centered on the center. To the south of the toilet is a shower head for bathing; To the north is a pool dedicated to washing. It's a bit simple, but it's okay as a temporary place to live.
The bathroom door opens to the east. Because the cubicle occupies a large space, as soon as you come out of the bathroom, it is a long and narrow aisle. The northernmost part of the ward, at the end of the narrow aisle, is the door of the entire ward. Out of this gate, you will come to the hallway. Of course, the long and wide corridor outside is all indoors. Otherwise, the bed cannot be added to the hallway.
It's really rich and easy to do! The newly built building of the Municipal People's Hospital is definitely the most luxurious of the local hospitals. But in terms of hospitalization, it should be quite satisfactory. Of course, locals often joke that this building is "black" out of the People's Hospital. Even during my hospitalization, I heard people joke more than once: "If I don't come, if you don't come, then where can this building be built?" We are contributing to the People's Hospital! ”
The building may have been "dark", but in any case, I still hope that my father will have a relatively comfortable and comfortable rest environment during the operation. As for whether we will be "hacked" after the operation? There's no need to think about it. Because, at this point, even if you know that you want to be "hacked", you can't retreat. Now, the question of "black or not" is obviously not my primary concern.
After taking a closer look at the ward, I noticed two problems. First, there is the issue of drinking water. I didn't find any water boiling devices in the whole room. Even if the patient doesn't need to drink water for an infusion, what should the patient's family do? You can't live on mineral water or drinks, right? Second, there is the problem of heating the meal. I think a lot of the patient's family members bring some food with them. It doesn't just make people eat cold, right? Fortunately, my sister's house is close to the hospital, so we basically don't encounter the second problem. So, what I wanted to figure out the most was the question of drinking water.
Through inquiry, I finally learned that there is a special water boiling device on each floor of the inpatient department. Patients and their families can get boiling water anytime and anywhere as long as they bring their own hot water bottles. Ordinary people are always very enthusiastic, and while telling me where to fill the boiling water, they also remind me of the time to deliver hot water. In her words, it is necessary to take a shower as soon as possible, otherwise the hot water will be gone. Although we are not afraid of such a problem, because it is a big deal to go to my sister's house to take a bath, I still express my sincerest gratitude for the kindness of others.
After getting acquainted with the ward, we asked my father to lie down in bed first. The mother sat on the edge of the bed, took the father's hand, and watched TV with him. Seeing that there was nothing to do with me for the time being, I left the ward first.
After looking around, I found that my father's attending doctor was still not there, so I had to go to the nurse's bar again. He asked very politely, "Excuse me, thirty-eight beds, is there anything else going on this morning?" ”
The nurse's attitude is obviously much better than that of the doctor. She replied, "It's nothing in the morning." ”
"Can I leave the hospital?" I asked further.
"It's best not to leave. Even if there is something, I have to come early in the afternoon. The nurse's tone was kind.
"You mean there's going to be a lot going on in the afternoon?" I don't know about the doctor's arrangement, but I think it's better to ask for it to be safe.
