Chapter 278: The Fate of the Old Living Buddha

Commonly known as the "Second Putuo Mountain", the Budala Palace stands on the Red Mountain in the northwest of the Xiqiang capital and is a large-scale palace-fort-style complex, built in the middle of the seventh century AD. The whole palace is built according to the mountain, the group of buildings overlaps, the palace is saga, the momentum is magnificent, there is the tendency of being born out of thin air, and the air penetrates the sky.

The solid granite wall, the white horse grass wall collar with matsutake mushroom flattening, the golden roof, the huge gilt vase, the building and the red banner with a strong decorative effect, reflect each other, the stark contrast of red, white and yellow three colors, and the architectural form of the joint construction and layer by layer, all reflect the charming characteristics of the ancient architecture of the Xiqiang nationality, and it is also the essence of the ancient architecture of China.

Considering that the old living Buddha was already waiting in the underground palace, Wu Dao only took a cursory look at the layout of the palace when he followed the contemporary living Buddha. I think that this palace has survived the war and years to this day, and it is indeed commendable. As the power center of the Western Qiang politics and religion in the past dynasties, the living Buddha who can sit here is also a more influential monk in the local area.

In front of him, the contemporary living Buddha who represented the old living Buddha went out to greet him, Wu Dao found that this living Buddha's Taoism was also good from his induction of the monk. can be compared with the average innate mid-stage master, although there has been no trial of fighting. But for the mental realm of this living Buddha, under the initial detection of Wu Dao's Jindan, there is still no doubt at a glance.

Facing this living Buddha who had to answer all questions, Wu Dao didn't ask too much when he began to enter the tunnel of the underground palace. He knew very well that this kind of secret passage, which was not open to outsiders and ordinary monks, would not be led by someone. Even if he wanted to find it, it would not be easy.

Because, when Wu Dao followed this living Buddha, he found that the scale of this underground palace was very large, and the lanes inside were also criss-crossed. If he hadn't guessed wrong, the red mountains below the Budara Palace would have been hollowed out. Otherwise, the color of the stone walls on both sides of this tunnel shows the color of the red mountain stone.

It wasn't until Wu Dao followed this living Buddha that he walked several downhill passages before he really walked into the underground palace at the bottom. What made Wu Dao sigh at the high level of the ancients' construction technology was that in the underground palace with a height of at least nearly 100 meters, there was no trace of oppressive or damp feeling. It seems that walking in this underground palace, except that you can't see the sun, there is almost no difference from the outside world.

Just as Wu Dao sighed that the scale of this underground palace was no less than the palace on the mountain, in a place that looked like a Buddhist room, Wu Dao saw an old monk who was smiling at himself. From the old monk's old face and the profound cultivation of that body, Wu Dao knew that he had seen the main master, an old living Buddha who was said to have lived for more than 200 years.

From the induction of his mind, Wu Dao was surprised to find that the spiritual realm of this old living Buddha had also broken through the innate peak realm. This was really the first time he had seen a monk with a Jindan realm mind. Therefore, in front of this old living Buddha, Wu Dao still showed due respect.

'Wu Dao, a monk from the Hanjiang River, happened to pass by the treasure land, and came to disturb him because he asked for advice on something. disturbed the Qing cultivation of the predecessors of the Living Buddha, Wu Dao once again expressed his humility. ’

Facing Wu Dao with such a sincere attitude, the old living Buddha said very kindly: "Fellow Daoist, I have lived for more than 200 years, and this is the first time I have seen a real immortal cultivator."

It seems that the rumor that 'the way of heaven is extinct, and the immortal road is hard to find' is not so true. Wu Daoyou can have less than half a jiazi, and he has the strength he has now, which is a hundred times better than the old monk! If it weren't for the inconvenience of the old monk to go out, he should greet him in person so as not to lose the gift of my teaching! ”

The contemporary Living Buddha standing beside the old living Buddha was also a little surprised when he heard that Wu Dao was actually an immortal cultivator. You must know that the Chinese cultivation world has always rumored that the Heavenly Dao has been extinct, and there is no longer a rumor about the survival of immortal cultivators. But at this moment, there is an immortal cultivator again, does that mean that the spring of their cultivators is coming?

After accompanying the old living Buddha to be polite, the old living Buddha invited Wu Dao to the secret room where he practiced, and saw that there were only a few ordinary daily necessities in the entire secret room. Even the necessary beds for ordinary people, Wu Dao didn't see them here. In particular, it can be seen that this eminent monk is a real attained monk, and he can be willing to stay poor and lonely with this underground palace for a hundred years in order to study Buddhism!

In order to entertain the visiting Wu Dao, the contemporary living Buddha naturally acted as a waiter for the two tea makers, and made a cup of butter tea with Xiqiang characteristics for Wu Dao. As a result, Wu Dao, who drank this kind of tea for the first time, was really a little unaccustomed to it, although he knew that this was the etiquette of people entertaining guests.

It's just that when I saw this old living Buddha in Wu Dao, although he was in good spirits, the dead aura on his face that represented the monk had already shown a lot. It is clear that this old living Buddha may not be able to survive for a long time.

It is rare to see such a real eminent monk, and Wu Dao doesn't want to see him sit down so quickly. You know, if you can give this old living Buddha a chance, he won't have a chance to explore Jindan. After drinking the butter tea made by the contemporary Living Buddha, he said with a smile: "Senior Living Buddha, don't you mind if I use my own tea to give back the hospitality of the two of you?" ”

For Wu Dao's anti-guest, the old living Buddha's eyes full of wisdom said: "Of course this is no problem, to be honest, the old monk has only heard of and never seen a lot of treasures in your immortal cultivation clan." Today, it is rare to have the honor to taste Xianjiabao tea, which should be the honor of the old monk and the apprentice. ”

Seeing that the old living Buddha said this, the contemporary living Buddha naturally didn't dare to say anything, and soon he looked at Wu Dao. With a few shakes of his hands, a set of delicate tea-making tools appeared in front of him. As Wu Dao opened the tea leaves in the jade box, the contemporary living Buddha knew that compared to the butter tea he used to entertain Wu Dao, the tea leaves of the immortal cultivator in front of him were the real spiritual tea.

Because of the small waterhole in the Yuling Ball, Wu Dao directly took water from the small waterhole to make tea, and brewed it with the first pot of tea. Wu Dao looked at the old living Buddha with a slightly expectant gaze, and quickly poured a few drops of spiritual spring water that has the ability to improve human body functions. As for the contemporary living Buddha and his own teacups, there is a drop in each cup. This can be regarded as a peach hugging a plum!

Seeing that Wu Dao didn't say anything, and sent such a precious tea to himself, the old living Buddha sighed: "Presumably, my current situation will not escape the eyes of Wu Jushi." At that time, the master told me before he sat down and told me whether I could attain the Bodhisattva Dao or not, everything was waiting for me to meet the immortal fate again. Originally, I thought that this criticism could no longer be realized in this life, but it turned out that God still let the old monk really meet you, a layman.

Although the layman didn't say anything, the old monk knew very well that whether it was this spiritual tea or tea, I was afraid that it was not as good as the few drops of spiritual liquid that the layman added at the end, right? The first time I met, I was so gifted by the layman, I was ashamed to accept it, I was ashamed to accept it! ”

The words of the old living Buddha made Wu Dao a little embarrassed, but he quickly answered: "Since the master of the living Buddha has been counted back then, I have a relationship with the living Buddha, why should the living Buddha be confined to secular etiquette?" For the living Buddha, these few drops of spiritual liquid can give you back life, and I believe that the living Buddha has not proved the bodhisattva path.

Besides, I still have some things to ask the living Buddha, this small meaning is to fulfill the fate of you and me, and it will not make me feel ashamed of the living Buddha, a good thing that kills two birds with one stone, why should the living Buddha feel guilty? ”

Hearing the few drops of green liquid that Wu Dao had just added, it was possible for the master to have a chance to regain his life, and even the golden body of the Bodhisattva could be proven. The contemporary living Buddha who has always felt powerless to return to heaven for the time limit of his master got up and respectfully kowtowed to Wu Dao three times in excitement, and thanked Wu Dao for his great kindness to his master with this noble etiquette.

In the face of the gratitude of the contemporary living Buddha, Wu Dao did not shirk too much, he knew very well that the monk was most afraid of not being able to repay such a thing as human favor. Therefore, it is very good to make these two living Buddhas feel less guilty in their hearts. Anyway, the good people and good deeds he did won't end here!

Seeing that Wu Dao seemed to be really sincere, the old living Buddha also knew very well that as long as he was still a human being, he would not refuse this kind of gift. quickly said to Wu Dao, 'Great grace is not thankful', and drank the added spiritual tea. As the tea entered his throat, the old living Buddha had those abundant aura, which was rapidly changing his physiology.

So much so that when he felt that he needed to spend some time refining, he confessed to Wu Dao and meditated on the spot to cultivate, bringing the function of this spiritual spring to the limit. So that his physical functions, which had reached the limit, were able to regain his vitality. Only when he has regained his vitality, if the time comes, he may not have the possibility of advancing to the Bodhisattva Jindan realm.

Compared with some innate peak realm martial artists, the delay in breaking through here is not because their cultivation is not solid and their foundation is not strong. More of them are martial artists who focus on ** and ignore the state of mind, and now the state of mind of the old living Buddha has reached the Jindan realm, and the difference is just the advancement of **.

Therefore, he can live longer than ordinary innate peak realm martial artists, and the probability of breaking through the Jindan realm is also higher than others. Of course, if there is no gift from Wu Daojin, or in the near future, he can only sit in this underground palace.

Knowing that it was a bit enough to add some material, and it would take a little time for the old living Buddha to cultivate and refine his spiritual power, Wu Dao turned his attention to the contemporary living Buddha. While accompanying him to taste the spiritual tea, he also inquired about the legend of the fairy road about Xiqiang. Of course, in Xiqiang, what is really widespread is the legend about the secret realm of Buddhism.

This cultivation system, which was the same as the cultivators back then, who stood resolutely in the cultivation world, also disappeared in the vast river of history at this moment. In ancient times, many of these masters of Buddha cultivation could attain the golden body of the Bodhisattva, and even the masters of the Arhat fruit position also existed. But now, such a master has also become a legend, which makes many modern monks who understand the history of Buddhist cultivation also regret it.

The most legendary Buddhist legend is undoubtedly the legend of Shambhala, which is written into a novel by modern people. This Buddhist holy place from the Buddhist classics has not been seen so far. This has also become a holy place for cultivating Buddha similar to the contemporary living Buddha, and also yearning for Buddha! (To be continued.) )
