*************
At the end of the corridor on the third floor of the British Museum, part of the exhibition area is blocked by two iron doors, behind which is the famous "Stein Secret Room".
As long as you know the British Museum, you know that the famous Gu Kaizhi's "Female History Atlas" is collected here, as the treasure of the museum, never lightly shown to the public.
This secret room is only open to some famous Western historians, even if it is Chinese, it is difficult to enter and see.
Gu Kaizhi is the greatest and most representative epoch-making figure in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, a great painter!
His paintings were called "unprecedented since the birth of a man" by Xie An, the famous prime minister of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the commander-in-chief of the "Battle of Weishui".
He is indeed an outstanding genius, and his paintings have also been praised by many later generations of literati and artists as unparalleled in the world.
He is known as the famous "Three Uniques" in the history of Chinese art, namely: talent, painting, and obsession.
In addition to the Buddha statues and religious murals, a large number of his figure paintings are portraits of ancient ladies and celebrities, characterized by striving to write God in the form and form of God, advocating that the characters should be expressive, using the "iron line drawing", "ancient gossamer drawing" to outline a strong and powerful thin line, with light ink smudge to enhance the texture, the clothes are smooth and elegant, beautiful and vivid, full of artistic charm, the character's facial features are described in detail, the dynamic processing is natural and generous, and the complex expression of the character's face is to conceal the rich emotions of his heart. The painted characters are radiant and romantic.
Moreover, he also created a precedent for ancient Chinese painters to paint on silk cloth. This of his "Female Historians". It is regarded as the pioneering work of Chinese silk painting. This shows the preciousness of this painting.
Now this painting is locked behind these two big iron doors, and thinking about it makes Jin Muchen excited.
He had seen these two heavy iron gates during the day, and at that time he had wanted to get closer and take a closer look, but unfortunately before he could get to him, he was stopped by two security guards. I drove it back.
During the day, these two iron doors are watched, which shows that this Englishman attaches great importance to this painting.
Before Jin Muchen started with the British Museum, when he was doing his homework, he learned that this "Female History Map", since it fell into the hands of the British Museum, has been regarded as a treasure by them, and has always been treated as a treasure of the museum.
Once in hand, he was locked in the Stein Vault, which was only open to some of the most prominent historians of his country and Western Europe. As for the East Asians, only in the twenties of the last century. There is a record of two Japanese people coming here to copy.
As for the Chinese, it seems that it was not until 2002 that a professor at Jinling University, at the strong appeal of the Chinese government, was allowed by the British to enter the secret room to see the painting.
I cĒo your grandmother's, our Chinese things, were snatched away by you, and now I still need your permission to watch them, and since I was robbed by you, only one Chinese has really seen this painting.
Hehe, these Britons are really so generous and affectionate!
It is said that the University of London and the British Museum will recently compile an anthology on the "Female Historian" based on the pictures on the "Female Historian", to explain in detail the origin of this painting and the meaning of the story in the painting.
As soon as he thought of this, Jin Muchen felt that his brain was about to jump out, grass your grandmother's, this painting was painted by us Chinese, and you British people are needed to compile an anthology?
You just wait for Lao Tzu, and when this painting is in hand, Lao Tzu must make you look good.
Jin Muchen had a gloomy face and came to these two heavy iron doors, although this iron door was not equipped with electronic anti-theft equipment, but this practical door was similar to the configuration of the bank vault door.
Jin Muchen knocked on the door panel, it was about ten centimeters thick, and all the locks used in it were organ combination locks, and without tools, the possibility of breaking this iron door was basically zero.
And a rookie like him who doesn't have any experience in unlocking has basically zero possibility of opening this iron door.
In fact, it is not impossible to rely on this set of tools to cut a hole in the door, but to do it, at least a few sets of blades may be consumed, plus three days.
But Jin Muchen didn't have that much time, so he didn't plan to completely cut open this set of iron doors, but just used this knife to cut a circular shallow groove on the iron door that could accommodate one person to get into.
Sparks are flying, the sound is harsh, but fortunately it's late at night, and the British Museum is very large, so I don't have to worry about the sound coming out.
The first step was quickly completed, and then Jin Muchen carefully took out a tube from his arms, poured the powder inside into those shallow troughs, and then took out the magnesium strips and inserted them into the powder, and then ignited the magnesium strips.
He turned his head, and there was a blinding light behind him, and a sound like a small explosion, and he could feel the huge heat coming from behind him a few meters away from reaching the iron door.
The powder he used was thermite, and once it burned, it had a high temperature of 3,000 crosses, and the bombs used by the U.S. military in World War II to destroy the Germans' big Berta cannon and bomb bombs, and this thing was loaded, which was a more frightening thing than ordinary incendiary bombs.
The fire behind him weakened, and the sound was much quieter, Jin Muchen looked back, and a few shallow marks on the iron door just now had now turned into deep grooves, and the toss just now had burned half of the iron door, and the ground was full of molten iron.
Then he pulled out a tube of thermite from the purple jade space, and walked through the original steps again, and when he turned back, the iron door had basically been burned through.
Cracks can already be seen in many places, but because of the uneven melting of the molten iron, there are still many places where the large round discus that was burned down has a connection with the iron gate.
If ordinary people want to take this round discus off the door, I'm afraid they still have to use the machine, after all, don't look at the connection is a little bit, but after all, it is iron, but for Jin Muchen, it is just something that can be solved by walking over and kicking it with a few big feet.
His strength is not comparable to ordinary people, not to mention the yellow gourd, which also gives him the characteristics of copper skin and iron bones.
After a few feet, the discus was kicked into the door of Stein's secret room, and a large circular hole was revealed in the heavy iron door, and Jin Muchen got into Stein's secret room as soon as he was short.
There was no light in the chamber, and he turned on a powerful flashlight......
There was a whole white drape hanging on the west wall of the secret room, Jin Muchen walked over and pulled it open, and the glass display case behind the drape was immediately revealed.
And behind this display case, there is the treasure of the British Museum, the Tang Dynasty copy of Gu Kaizhi's "Female History Atlas" of the Eastern Jin Dynasty!
The painting is 25 centimeters wide and 3.5 meters long, and the original painting of this painting is divided into 12 sections, which are composed of 12 small allusions in the history before the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
And now, only nine paragraphs have been handed down, which means that three paragraphs have been lost.
The reason for the creation of this scroll is that during the period of Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty, that is, after the death of Emperor Sima Yan of the Jin Dynasty in 290 AD.
His son Sima Zhen ascended the throne, known as Emperor Hui of Jin, this guy is a famous mediocre and incompetent emperor in Chinese history, he did not like to read since he was a child, he only knew how to eat, drink and have fun all day long, and did not do his job, and the power of the court fell into the hands of the queen Jia.
The Jia family was ruthless and extravagant, which caused the dissatisfaction of the ministers in the court, and the minister Zhang Hua collected the deeds of the sages and saints of various generations in history and wrote the article "The Female History" to show admonition and warning, which was widely circulated at that time.
Later, in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Gu Kaizhi painted according to the article segments, except for the first paragraph, each paragraph has proverbs, and each paragraph vividly reveals the meaning of the proverbs, so these paintings are called "Female History Proverbs".
These nine paragraphs, along with the proverbs written according to the gaps in each paragraph, are: Feng Yuan's advance, Ban Jie's resignation, the rise and fall of the world, the appearance and decoration, the same suspicion, the honor and disgrace of the subtle words, the exclusive favor and blasphemy, the self-reflection of Jing Gong, and the female history of the Si Zhen, are all famous small allusions in Chinese history.
In this long scroll, Gu Kaizhi's "gossamer painting method" and "expressive portrayal" painting theory are most fully embodied.
Because of this, the Western art world also regarded it as a masterpiece of ancient Chinese painting, and gave it a very high evaluation, calling it a "perfect masterpiece" that "has reached the state of maturity".
Moreover, this "Female Historian" is the only imitation of Gu Kaizhi, the earliest professional painter of the Eastern Jin Dynasty that can be found in China, and it is also the earliest surviving Chinese silk painting, which is a milestone in the history of Chinese art.
This painting is also one of the earliest outstanding works of painting art of "conveying the spirit through form", and because of this, in addition to its unique artistic value, it also has historical and social value that is difficult to be compared with other painting disciplines.
People who study Chinese painting have heard the saying "paper longevity for a thousand years, silk longevity 800".
This facsimile of the Sui and Tang dynasties has been handed down for more than 1,400 years, but even so, the characters in the painting are still dressed elegantly, their eyes are expressive, and their posture and demeanor can still reveal the identity and demeanor of these ancient court women.
It is no wonder that the Western art world will give such a high evaluation of this painting, and it is no wonder that the British Museum will regard this silk painting as its own treasure!
However, its days as the treasure of the British Museum have come to an abrupt end today, and from today on, it belongs to Lao Tzu...... (To be continued......)
