Chapter 10: Divine Beasts
Gone on duty, update a chapter first.
The liquid of the crystals has transformed his entire body, including his internal organs, once again, his strength is at least twenty times that of before, his speed is even faster than when he used to accelerate magic and martial arts together, if he wants, he can now fight with all his strength with his physical body alone for a month, and any thoughts of movement will be transmitted to his limbs and transformed into action in the equivalent of a tenth of the time before.
However, compared to other changes, these are simply insignificant: under the action of those liquids, every cell on his body surface has undergone qualitative changes, they are constantly absorbing the original energy of the outside world, and at the same time excreting all kinds of waste products produced by internal activities into the form of tiny particles outside the body, all the absorbed original energy will be transported through the blood to the heart, and then converted into various energies needed by the body, and transmitted to all parts again, which means that he will no longer have to rely on food, water and air, which are necessary for human survival, and his body has become stronger, even with the sharpest blades attached to magic, or all magic below the seventh order, could no longer pose any threat to him, and his regenerative power reached a terrifying level, even if it was a limb split or disembowelment, it only took a moment of effort for the lost or damaged parts to be intact.
"The body of a demigod. This was Rhaegar's first thought after discovering all the changes in the physical body, only those who were between gods and other creatures could have such bodies, and they owe much of their strength to these bodies, and there was no doubt that in this transformation, the geists had gained unimaginable benefits.
Despite this, Rhaegar did not become a demigod in one step, and his magic ability still stayed at the level of an eighth-order archmage, but if he added that strong body, his combat ability was enough to make a ninth-order mage bow down.
The geist knew very well that all that was happening to him had something to do with the mysterious space and the mysterious figure in it, but he wasn't prepared to delve into it - his intuition told him that the figure had absolutely no ill will towards him, and that they would definitely meet again, and when they met again, Rhaegar would get the answer to his question.
As the last log turned to ashes, the flames that burned Kkegarn's lair were finally extinguished, and Rhaegar easily separated from the ashes what she wanted, but compared to the real harvest, these materials were only a few small copper plates in front of the gold mine for the mages.
The rest of the journey was not easier than before, even for the almost reborn Rhaegar, there was no difference from the surrounding environment, after stepping on it, it would instantly suck people into the mud pool at the bottom, seemingly harmless, only when the prey approached the hideous man-eating plants, and those monsters hiding in the ground, trees and bushes, all of them did not need the spirit of the geist to fight 120,000 points, in the days after the elimination of Kekgarn, Rhaegar encountered at least a dozen battles.
"Something wasn't quite right. With a casual punch, knocking the last stubborn ironclad bear out of the air more than ten meters, Rhaegar thought.
According to the description on the map, the route he is taking now is the most sparsely distributed area of demonic beasts in the area that Henor has already discovered, but judging from the number of demonic beasts he has encountered these days, even those ninth-order mages may not be able to pass through easily - many of those demonic beasts have extremely high resistance to magic, or are good at hiding and preferring melee combat, and it is difficult for a pure mage to deal with these enemies without the cover of a warrior. According to Rhaegard's understanding of the Warcraft, these beings who are in the position of predators in the wild food chain have the habit of dividing their territories, and judging from the situation he encountered, the distribution of those Warcraft is obviously too dense, and with such a density, the territory of most Warcraft will not be able to provide them with enough food. Moreover, according to Rhaeggar's observations, with the exception of those on the outskirts of the forest, almost all of the monsters that met him head-on did not look like they were hunting, but more like they were migrating.
"Something must have happened in the depths of the forest," the geist thought silently, "and the monsters seem to be running away from something. "Common sense suggests that there are only two situations that will keep these predators out of their territory: a large-scale disaster, or an enemy too strong to resist.
A hint of hesitation rose in Rhaegar's mind, no matter what was going on, it was clear that the danger there was far greater than expected, and it was not a wise choice to move forward in such a situation, St. Endoth might save him from the pressure of the Storm God, but it was by no means the style of a wanderer to put himself in unknown danger in order to avoid such pressure.
However, a strange instinct told him that he should move on. This comes from the instincts of the wandering spirits in the depths of Rhaegar's soul, these undead in the form of pure souls, although they are of low intelligence, are closer to the origin of the universe because of their chaotic state, their intuition is often more accurate than those based on reason, although the acquisition of wisdom has weakened this ability of Rhaegar, and whenever this feeling arises, he is always more inclined to trust his instincts than to make logical inferences that seem more reasonable.
Five days later, Rhaegar finally arrived at the center of the forest, after slicing through thorns and thorns along the way, and battling wits and courage against the monsters. Unlike the periphery, the trees here are much more sparse, and sometimes there is not a single tree within a few hundred square meters, and the sunlight shines unhindered on the large open space, as if creating islands of light in the forest sea that is dark all year round due to the lush vegetation in most of the area.
This immediately alerted the geist: from the soil, it was far more suitable for plants than the periphery, as evidenced by the dense weeds on the ground, and Rhaegar could clearly detect that under the seemingly flat ground, broken tree roots were lying quietly in the dirt. There is only one possibility that some powerful creature has forcibly destroyed most of the trees above the ground, and judging from this point of view, the creature must be quite large, and only then will it carve out a clearing in the center of the forest for its own convenience.
Several large footprints on the ground further confirmed Rhaeggar's suspicions. According to normal proportions, the maker of these footprints, which are similar in appearance to those of felines, is about fifteen meters tall and at least twenty-five meters long, and the depth of the footprints and the hardness of the ground should have inferred that the creature must have weighed between 10,000 and 15,000 kilograms, which is undoubtedly a behemoth in every respect.
The sheer size of the body alone is not enough to explain the strength of the other party, in nature, those who are the largest are often not predators, but herbivores as prey, although there is no such law in Warcraft, those who are petite may not be weaker than some giant beasts. What really frightened Rhaegar was the yellow powder he found on the ground, the only vestiges of the plants that had been turned into powder by some force - it was clear that all the trees that had disappeared had fallen to the same fate.
Due to some mysterious force, the trees in the Henor Forest are far harder than their counterparts elsewhere, and those trees that are more than a thousand years old are even harder than steel, turning thousands of trees in this area that are at least five hundred years old into powder, even Rhaegar can hardly do such a thing.
A hint of alarm rose in the spirit of the geist, and without any thought, an invisible magic shield suddenly appeared around him, and then, with a soft sound similar to that of a balloon bursting, the shield immediately became torn apart, and the tiny points of light generated by the disintegration of magical energy flew around Rhaegar like fireflies, drawing brilliant lines.
Despite his vulnerability, the hastily summoned magic shield bought Rhaegar precious time, and by the time the invisible attack from the shadows was about to reach his body, the geist had already made one last gesture, and his body disappeared into thin air, appearing a hundred meters away in the other direction.
The invisible attack did not stop its tracks, it hit a giant tree that was originally a few meters in front of the geist and several people hugging, and the next moment, the giant tree that even the dragon's flames might not be able to destroy at once suddenly turned into countless withered yellow powder, drifting away with the breeze.
Rhaegar finally knew what he was up against, and the destruction of the giant tree reminded him of the description of a certain creature he had once seen in the God of the Storm, a giant beast that lived in the heavenly realm, and in ancient religious mythology, people called it the Destruction Divine Beast in awe, and for the geist, this giant beast had another identity - his pet, the same kind of Ta'an, the divine beast responsible for guarding the temple.
Contrary to the imagination of those who don't know the inside story, this Celestial Behemoth is neither kind nor gentle, and unlike the mythical beasts that like to help good and devout believers, they prefer to occupy a large territory in the Celestial Realm or somewhere else, and then tear the trespassers into pieces, whether good or evil.
The failure of the attack was obviously somewhat unexpected by the Destruction Beast hiding in the shadows, and with a low roar, several invisible currents of energy came towards Rhaegar again, and these strong currents surrounded the geist from different directions, making it impossible for him to dodge to avoid the attack, and their speed far exceeded the first sneak attack, and they approached the target's side almost as soon as they appeared, which made Rhaegar no longer able to escape with short-range teleportation like he did last time.
