The voice actors talk about "The Wheel Dance of Angels and Dragons"

In October, SUNRISE's original new anime "CROSSANGE Angel and Dragon Wheel Dance" has attracted the attention of countless viewers since its launch. The plot of the work unfolds beyond everyone's imagination: when we think this is the story of a kind princess, we find that this princess is actually very cruel; Just when we thought it was a war lily movie, a man who looked like Kira and God came into everyone's sight again...... Persona has previously reported on Nana Mizuki, who voiced the heroine Angel, but recently, Yui Ogura (Chrissy), Sumire Uesaka (Mooka Ogi) and Natsuori Ishihara (Rosalie) have talked more about the work.

[Although it was "the first time we met", we became good friends through guò cake]

- Miss Ishihara, Miss Ogura, Miss Uesaka. I think the three of them must have participated in a photo shoot together for the first time, right? So how do you feel?

Uesaka: Oh, you see these two people have such a good relationship, I'm really embarrassed to get involved. And when I look at the photo of being sandwiched between the two, I feel even more creepy. I'm really sorry......

Ishihara: Huh!?

Ogura: How can there be such a thing!

Ishihara: We were in a state of "first meeting", but when she came over with the cake, we immediately became good friends and were able to talk a lot. It makes me very happy.

Uesaka: Looking at these two girls eating cake, I couldn't help but think, "It's like two angels eating." "I'm affiliated with STARCHILD, and Yui Natsuori is from KingRecordsMM. Although they were all colleagues working in the same building, they were never able to speak up as freely as they do today.

Ishihara: After the photo shoot was over, the three of us went back together.

Uesaka: That's right. But I'm just in passing. But there is no difference in philosophy between us. I started to think that they were all high school students, but in fact they were all in college. So I talked to the two of them about the university and said, "This is already a very qualified college student." ”

―― What kind of thoughts did you have about trying to shoot today?

Ogura: There were a lot of solo photos, but the three of us took various shots in a lot of places, and we wore black formal clothes in the process, which made me feel fresh. And all three of them wore this kind of clothing to shoot, and I always thought it was incredible. Still, I'm happy!

[Constantly cursing with a cute voice, such words are unstoppable]

―― Tell us about your feelings about the voiced characters.

Ishihara: (at the time of the interview) Actually, we only did three episodes of voice acting......

Ogura: I'm just shouting "Rosalie."

Ishihara: So when it comes to the character of Rosalie, even I can only see the superficial part of her. But if I can get to know her on a deeper level in the future, then I think it would be a good thing.

Ogura: Chrissy, Rosalie, and Hilda are like a trio. They always bully Angel together (laughs). And there seem to be all kinds of entanglements between these three people, which I think is also one of the highlights of the work.

-- The characters you play this time are the kind of people who have more vicious mouths.

Ogura: I've never heard Natsuri-chan say something like that (laughs). However, Rosalie is a girl who can express her feelings openly, and her voice actress, Natsuori-chan, can also express her thoughts clearly, so I think this is quite similar.

Ishihara: That's true for me. "I can't imagine that Xiao Wei's mouth can come out of this kind of words!" It's an incredible feeling.

Ogura: There was a time when he said, "I killed you" (laughs).

Uesaka: And the line book says "(cursed) to kill you, kill you, kill you". So I thought, "This kind of curse is so addictive...... so I feel very happy."

Ogura: Do you feel happy? (laughs)

Uesaka: Yui-chan's voice is very cute, but it's amazing that she can express that kind of hatred and disgust from the heart. It even makes people think that you are awakened in some way.

――And Momoka, played by Miss Uesaka, is a completely different character. This maid has a healing aura.

Uesaka: This is an important role that supports Anqi's heart. Miss Nana Mizuki, who dubbed Angel, once said, "Until the last moment, Momoka will support Angel." It must be so. Because she's reliable! "I also felt a lot of pressure for this, and my whole body trembled (laughs).

[The plot unfolds and always makes people pinch a cold sweat, so I think you need to have a strong heart to watch this work]

――Just looking at the voice actors who starred in this work is enough to make you feel like an all-star. What was the actual environment like when the voice was actually dubbed?

Ogura: I don't know if you can imagine it, but the atmosphere was actually very warm. It also allows people to focus on their work. We have conversations in a variety of different places. Everyone has an incredible feeling about this, and the dubbing of each episode is also enjoyable.

――When you started recording the first episode, what kind of beliefs did you bring to the workplace?

Ishihara: Should I talk about faith? After all, it's such a huge work, so I still feel nervous. However, the seniors on the scene all have wonderful acting skills, and listening to their performances, I also gained a lot of experience from them. It's kind of learning. I am also very happy about this.

Ogura: My heart was beating very fast before the dubbing started, but as soon as I started working, I immediately felt the dedication of everyone to the work, and I had a strong thought, "I can't do it without working harder!" "At the same time, I also had another kind of feeling, that is: I want to work with everyone to make this work an excellent animation.

Uesaka: Personally, I've always thought that SUNRISE's work is full of romance. Being able to participate in SUNRISE this time made me very nervous: will I be able to play the role well? And if you look at the plot in the script book, the first page and the last page are completely different unfolding, the princess falls, the queen dies, and a series of tragedies are staged, and the story makes people unable to relax at all. I think the audience must be sweating and watching it intently!

Ogura: It's true that there are heavy parts of the story, but I think there are also many scenes that are worth pondering.

[We are already familiar with the impermanence world of SUNRISE]

――Ms. Uesaka has always been a fan of SUNRISE's work.

Uesaka: The animation is very handsome, but doesn't SUNRISE's work also contain a unique melancholy atmosphere? Human life is accompanied by the soul of the machine and the soul returns to the underworld, and this sense of impermanence is intoxicating. In the work "Crossange Angel and Dragon Wheel Dance", we can feel the impermanence of the SUNRISE world. So I hope to see the full version a day sooner. It's just that the early samples have all kinds of terrible images. What do you two think?

Ishihara: It was a big shock at first, but I'm getting used to it (laughs).

Ogura: I wonder what the finished version of the color will look like? I am still troubled by this. And these seemingly terrible pictures actually contain a lot of meaning. If the audience could not only feel the shock, but also think more deeply about the work, then it would be more enjoyable, right?

Ishihara: Personally, I was surprised that there were so many beautiful images in my work.

Uesaka: The fake eyeball that flew out of the captain's flight really scared me. And such a picture suddenly appeared in front of our eyes......

Ishihara: That's right. That image is very impactful.

Uesaka: In addition, Angel can be said to be a protagonist who does not have the attributes of a protagonist. When it comes to the protagonists of Ji Qì people's works, they can often resonate with Ji Qì people from the personality, and the setting of the royal road is often that these people have a strong sense of justice. As for Angel, she was a high princess at the beginning, but she suddenly fell to the mortal world not long after. Faced with such a situation, Angel felt unacceptable. I think that's just the way we are human. And because she doesn't look like a serious protagonist, maybe the audience will feel uncomfortable watching Angel, right? We don't know exactly when she started to change from "Angelie" to "Angel......

Uesaka: But if she is set to accept her new identity soon, I'm afraid she won't be able to stand her spirit, right? If it's too crazy, she won't even be able to hold on to the first episode and will die right away (laughs).

[The story has just begun, what will be the fate of the three people in the future? 】

――There are a lot of female characters in this work, so which ones do you care about the most?

Ishihara: Surprisingly, I like Saizeriya a lot. Although it's a character whose feelings are not easy to show, it can make people feel cute. In addition, it is voiced by Miss Hideri Kitamura, which makes people can't help but focus on Saria. Well, that's something I'm only suddenly aware of now (laughs). It's obviously a double ponytail, but he always has a straight face. It's cute, and it's my thing.

Ogura: I'd probably choose Vivien. Her own characteristics can also be clearly reflected in the tone of her speech. And both the staff and Ms. Noriko Kuwajima, who voiced Vivian, attach great importance to this characteristic. Every time she would say something like, "Do you want to say something like that?" It's very interesting. That's why I'm looking forward to her very much.

Uesaka: I really like Emma, who is voiced by Ms. Kana. It looks like a very strict person on the outside.,But because of the dubbing by Miss Kana.,It seems to have a sense of dynamism.。 This is not a simple and harsh prosecutor, and it's really nice to set it up like that.

――Now that you've just started your voice acting, what are your expectations for the future of the story?

Ishihara: There are still a lot of mysteries in the work that have not yet been revealed, and to be honest, I can only say that I don't know. But it would be nice if Rosalie could be happy (laughs).

Ogura: So do I. First of all, I hope that Chrissy can live well. Chrissy is a child with a lot of negative feelings, and even if she knows such shortcomings, she still hasn't changed and is a useless child. But if she could grow, it would be nice to show us a strong side to some extent.

Uesaka: Regarding Momoka, I hope she will meet with Angie sooner. Although the plot of the two meeting is definitely a painful unfolding that we can't imagine, Momoka is a person who admires the princess no matter what the situation, so she will definitely fulfill her responsibilities as the maid of "Princess Angel Supremacy". That's why I have to put on a good show. SUNRISE's works are both royal and melancholy, and now that I want to blend in with this brilliant light, I have to do my job well.

-- Alzenar, an island in the vast sea. Would you have the confidence to survive in that cruel environment?

Ishihara: I'm definitely dead!

Ogura: You don't have any confidence......

Uesaka: But both of you have been singing and dancing since you were students, so I think it's similar to what you did in your work. I've always thought that the job of pleasing people is very powerful, and when I wasn't anything, I saw an advertisement for the "Yui Xia Ori Commercial Event".

Ishihara: Thank you so much for knowing our story!

――Did anything interesting happen to the dubbing scene? Please tell us!

Ogura: Nana Mizuki's seat is close to us (Yui Kaori), so I can talk to her a lot every time. Because the styles of our two outfits overlap very much, and then Miss Mizuki watched from behind and couldn't help but say......

Ishihara: She once said, "I thought you two were sisters!" When the dubbing was over, when we both went back together, she said, "It's really like that." "It was a big surprise for all of us.

Uesaka: Sitting near me was Ms. Higashi**, and I talked a lot to her. After all, we've worked together in other animations.
