Chapter 5: Transfiguration
Transfiguration, in Augustus's original world, this is not a profound spell, it has basically reached the level of a magister, and you can master various types of transfiguration. In this world, Transfiguration seems to be a skill that only a few people can master, and they are collectively known as Animagus.
Augustus, who had only seen Animagus in books and had never seen Animagus in this world, was obviously interested in the spots on the table. Under Augustus' inquiring eyes, the transparent image of a short, bald, gray-haired, mouse-like man with a pointed nose loomed over the fat mouse. Logically speaking, the animals that were transformed into Animagus are rarely discovered by others, but at the moment of the exploration of the legendary talent that Augustus had formed from entering the realm of legends, this fat mouse still has nothing to hide.
"Is there anyone in your family who is the Animagus?" Augustus asked with interest as he looked at Ron.
"Nope." I don't know why I would ask him such a question, Ron was confused, and looked at Augustus with a blank face. "Animagus is actually quite rare in the wizarding world, and no one in our family has this talent."
Looking at Harry's puzzled expression, Ron went on to explain, "Animagus is a wizard who can transform into some kind of animal while retaining magical spells. "That must be cool." After listening to Ron's explanation, Harry seemed to be caught in some kind of fantasy and muttered involuntarily.
Since Ron obviously didn't know that there was something wrong with the mouse named Spotted, Augustus, who had just known them for a short time, obviously didn't continue to talk about it, so he took out a book and began to read.
At this time, outside the window of the train, a barren field and a neat farmland are speeding by. What followed was a forest of trees, meandering rivers and dark green hills.
Ron, who was bored, looked at the listless spots on the table, and couldn't help but say with some disgust; "It may have died sooner, but it will be the same anyway." Then he looked up at Harry and Augustus and said, "Have you practiced magic before, George told me a spell, why don't I do it for you now, pay attention"
He fumbled around in the suitcase for a long time, pulling out a very worn wand, peeled off in some places, and still shining white at one end.
No sooner had he raised his wand than the compartment door opened again. Standing in the doorway were a round-faced boy who had passed Augustus on the train and a young girl who had changed into a new Hogwarts robe.
"Did any of you see a toad? Neville lost a toad. She said, her tone arrogant and unfocused. She has thick brown hair and a pair of front teeth.
Harry and Ron shook their heads at the same time, and Augustus was still looking at the scroll in his hand. The little girl looked at Ron's wand. "Oh. Are you doing magic? Let's open our eyes. ”
She sat down. Augustus also showed a hint of interest, put down the book, and looked at Ron. Ron was visibly taken aback, a little overwhelmed.
"Oh-okay."
He cleared his throat.
Daisies, sweet cream, and sunlight turn this silly fat mouse yellow.
He waved his wand, but nothing happened. The spots are still gray, and they sleep soundly.
"I think you can cast a spell like this." Before the little girl could begin to taunt Ron, Augustus calmly took out his silver wand and said to Spotted, "Kriwromonh." A strange syllable came out of Augustus's mouth, and with a slight explosion of "bang", the fat gray mouse on the table instantly turned into a pure white pocket sheep.
Looking at the astonished gaze around them, the sheep lay on the table and bleated in a panic, as if it could be changed back in this way, but it didn't seem to have any effect. Sure enough, it seems that there should be no problem with casting Transfiguration on Animagus. As if he had completed some kind of experiment, Augustus waved his wand at the sheep in contentment, and with another "bang", the sheep became the big ugly mouse again.
"Well, this is a transfiguration technique that can only be mastered by senior students." Unlike Ron and Harry, who didn't know what was going on, the little girl looked at Augustus, who was sitting in a white robe, and said in surprise. The head that had always been arrogant seemed to be lowered a few points.
"My name is Hermione Granger, and I've tried a few spells at home, not as advanced as this gentleman, of course, but just a few simple spells, and they all worked. By the way, what's your name? Even though they were asking the names of the three of them, it was clear to Harry and Ron that the little girl named Hermione was obviously asking Augustus about it.
"Augustus Julius." Augustus replied lightly.
"My name is Ron Weasley." Ron muttered.
"Harry Potter." Harry said.
Hermione, who didn't care about Harry and Ron, heard Harry's answer, and suddenly asked Harry as if she had discovered a new world, "Is it really you?" You've been mentioned in several books, and I've bought a few more reference books. Then he turned to Augustus and said, "Of course, the Julius family, the ruler of the magical world, has also been mentioned in many books, and you can master such advanced magic at such a young age, it must have something to do with your family." Augustus smiled noncommittally.
"Alright, we'll be there soon, so I think you'd better get dressed. See you again, then, Mr. Augustus! Hermione, who seemed to have a fondness for the elegant Augustus, waved at them, and led the toad boy away.
"It's really unlucky that there is no one in my eyes, arrogant, when the time comes to divide the college, no matter which college I am assigned to, I don't want to be separated from her." Ron muttered. He tossed his wand into his suitcase. Then he looked up at Augustus and asked, "Is there something wrong with this spell of mine, Mr. Augustus?" ”
Augustus chuckled, "Obviously, Mr. Weasley, you may not be a spell. ”
"I knew that the spell was useless, that George had told me that. I dare say he knew it was a blind shot. Ron grumbled with some curse.
The scarlet train was moving smoothly on the long tracks, and the emerald green scenery outside the window kept flashing in front of Harry's eyes. The train whistled with a shrill whistle that seemed to come from far away, and it seemed to be coming soon, Harry thought silently.
