Staring at Ryohei Kimura all day long! 50 questions and answers by Yuki Ono

In this issue of "Voice Actor Wheel", Yuki Ono, who has starred in "Youth League" Tsukahara Yoshi, "Kuroko's Basketball" Vulcan Daigo, "The Strongest Student President" Hitoyoshi Hitoyoshi, and "Gintama" Tokugawa Shigeru will be interviewed.

01. Please tell us about your opportunity to become a voice actor.

A: I watched the anime "What You Expect Forever" and admired Mr. Kisho Taniyama very much. That's where the opportunity comes in.

02. What is your animation debut?

A: Alien B from "Kurolo Juncao". It will take out the credit card from its body with a "whoosh".

03. In your previous works, is there any role that left a particularly deep impression on you?

A: There is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's called Kyosuke Onitagi. This is the first time I've used a variety of emotions to voice a character in an anime.

04. Among the characters you have dubbed, are there any characters that have parts similar to you?

A: In "Kuroko's Basketball", the character of Vulcan Da I is usually more edible, although it is not very reliable, but it has been working very hard. This aspect may be similar to me.

05. In the previous dubbing process, please list a plot that impressed you.

A: In the work "I Want to Sue You", there is a plot where you drink and swallow it. Actually, I just shouted water in my mouth and made a sound to record it.

06. If you have any failures or impressive experiences at the dubbing scene, please let us know.

A: That's exactly the drinking episode. The whole process is to pour in the wine - swallow it - and speak immediately. But I drank too much water, and I couldn't swallow it quickly, so I choked.

07. Are there any competitors or voice actors that you are targeting?

A: If you look at a good opponent of the same age, it should be Ryohei Kimura. We also often work together on a dubbing set, so I pay attention to his sensitivity and focus on acting, and think, "I can't lose to him!" ”

08. What do you think you would do if you didn't become a voice actor?

A: Teacher. I love teaching people things and have worked as a tutor as well.

09. What is the most painful thing about being a voice actor?

A: Looking back, I used to work three jobs a day and go to performances. That was probably the most painful experience. But the incredible thing is that at the time, I took these things for granted, so I didn't feel very bitter.

10. Conversely, what is the happiest thing about being a voice actor?

A: I have a lot of fun every day. I feel really blessed to be able to do what I love to get through each day.

11. Do you like to sing? Also, when did you think the song you sang was the most impressive?

A: I like it. I've made tunes myself. What impressed me was the song "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku", which was very long, but it needed to be sung quickly without breathing. There were even some rap-like jokes, which I spent about a month practicing, and I finally sang them.

12. Do you have any memorable contributions to your radio program?

A: In the program "Teamゆーたく", which was produced under the name of an independent project, someone told me that the name of a certain venue was the same as the title of the ending song. After hearing the news, I actually held an event at that venue.

13. Did you have anything particularly attached to during the performance?

A: It is necessary to show the vitality of the character. Voice actor is a profession that "breathes life into characters", and I think that's exactly what happened.

14. What kind of characters are you best at voice acting?

A: I think there's a type of character that I haven't challenged before......

15. Please tell us about your goals and dreams as a voice actor.

A: I wanted to be able to play a well-known role.

16. Please give a word to those who are working hard to make voice actors their goal.

A: In ordinary daily life, it will also be conducive to the inspiration of performance. So let's live hard every day! I'm one of them.

17. In addition to the works you starred in, are there any other anime that you often watch?

A: The "Forever You Expect" you just mentioned. It's a work about people's emotional entanglements, and it's very painful. I often tell my friends about this work.

18. Are there any characters you would like to voice in the above-mentioned animations, or characters that you would like to be voiced for?

A: The protagonist Takayuki, who is called "Waste Firewood". Speaking of which, I once picked up my own script book and called my friends to come together for dubbing practice. So in a sense, he has already starred in him......

19. What type of animation do you like when watching animation as a viewer?

A: I'm obsessed with The Gate of the Destiny Stone. I love the process of solving puzzles and finding the truth.

20. What kind of child were you when you were a child?

A: A child who takes football as a qiē. In terms of study, anyway, I relied on perseverance to pass the guò exam.

21. Tell us about the shows you watch regularly.

A: I listen to the radio a lot more than TV. For example, Mr. Hikaru Ijiin's broadcast. I listen to the live stream once a day and record it.

22. Tell us about your favorite book in your life.

A: "Grunt Magic Array". This is a famous work full of fantasy and hilarity.

23. Tell us about your favorite game in your life.

A: "The Wind Comes to Xilin". A dungeon where the terrain changes every time you enter, and a sword that can become stronger. Ahhhh......h

24. Tell us about your favorite movie in your life.

A: "Godzilla× Mothra × Mecha Godzilla Tokyo SOS. The sight of Mothra guarding her child with her body brought tears to my eyes.

25. Tell us about your favorite music in your life.

A: The theme song of the anime "Gollum Magic Circle" is "Qing れてハレルヤ" and the ending song "WindClimbing~風にあそばれて~". Ms. Aki Okui's singing voice sometimes makes people excited, and sometimes it makes people lonely and sad. Recently, I also had the opportunity to re-see this work. I still have a lot of music that I like, and I have a chance to tell you all about it!

26. Please introduce your motto.

A: "Do your best to obey the destiny of heaven." The night before the college entrance examination, my father put a small note on my desk with this sentence written on it. I'm still affected by that statement.

27. What sports have you participated in before, please tell us about your experience?

A: Elementary, middle and high school all play football. When I was in junior high school, we had a strong team and went to national competitions.

28. Please tell us about the songs you often sing when you go to karaoke.

A: "SPACE BATTLESHIP YAMATO" AND BUMPOFCHICKEN'S "K".

29. Please tell us your favorite food.

A: Egg tart, chocolate, macaron, marshmallow, feather duet, yakiniku, shabu-shabu, kebab, sushi...... Ahhhh......h I can't say enough......

30. Please sù us the food you hate.

A: Spicy stuff and coriander.

31. Tell us about the shops you frequent.

A: Shabu-shabu restaurant, I eat a lot of vegetables in it. The warm, refreshing cabbage is the best.

32. Do you have any favorite snacks?

A: Egg tart, chocolate, macaron, marshmallow, feather duaf...... Hey, what a strong sense of immediacy.

33. Do you drink alcohol or not? If so, what type of alcohol do you like?

A: Don't drink alcohol at all. We probably don't have any enzymes in our family that can break down alcohol......!

34. What did you do during your last holiday?

A: I went to Jimue twice in one day. Currently reshaping the body!

35. If you had a week off where you didn't have to do anything at all, what would you do?

A: I wanted to dabble in the classics of the past that I had never touched before.

36. Do you have any interests that you have recently developed?

A: Go to JIMUE. Every time I visited, I felt rejuvenated.

37. Please tell us about the qualifications you have.

A: Kanji Test Level 2, English Test Quasi Level 2, Japan Football Association Certified Instructor Level D, Yo-Yo ...... Well? That's not a qualification...... right!

38. Is there anything you'd like to challenge in the next 10 years?

A: When I was in my 20s, I was basically focused on the things at hand, but after I was 30, I wanted to broaden my horizons. I work at home when I have time, so I can try a short trip in the future to experience a different atmosphere than usual.

39. What type of opposite sex do you prefer?

A: A weirdo with common sense.

40. What part of the opposite sex do you care about the most?

A: Chest. Uh-huh. Recently, my radio program has been bursting with letters about my measurements.

41. Which item has the highest price among the last purchases?

A: Road bikes. I used to have enough women's cars, but I always wanted to buy one, so I was happy.

42. What do you want most right now?

A: I think it's more about appetite than about purchasing. So I want to be able to find what I want most.

43. If you get to an uninhabited island, you can only take one thing with you. So what would you choose to bring?

A: Glasses. Otherwise, I won't be able to see anything.

44. If someone told you, "You can use 1 million yen as you like", how would you spend that money?

A: A wide variety of glasses.

45. If you have any habits every day, please tell us as well.

A: Morning and evening stretching. I feel like being able to make a difference in my body and my brain.

46. Please give a word to the fans.

A: I'm hungry.

47. The last person who was interviewed was Mr. Nobuhiko Okamoto. What impressed you most about him?

A: We went for dessert together on our birthdays. The price of 100g of caviar there was about 10,000 yen, and it scared me to pee, but I didn't order it......
