【Mikami】As far as the Koshodo Incident Manuscript is concerned, some readers have been reading it since my previous works, but this series of works is probably dominated by women in their 30s~50s.

[Mikami] I didn't deliberately make them my main target, but I just felt that the "Koshodo Incident Notebook" just achieved that purpose.

Sakurasaka: On the contrary, when I was writing "AllYouNeedIsKill", in order to create a character that fits the light novel, I sought out a female technician like Shasta and put her into the novel. 【Mikami】I haven't seen it at all. Originally, I signed up for the Newcomer Contest of General Fiction, but there was no result at all. Just when I was about to give up on myself, I became interested in the light novels that were very popular in the second-hand bookstore where I worked at the time. Mikami just wanted to make it more or less acceptable to readers, and it turned out like this. Mr. Sakurasaka used the characters to decide the plot in "AllYouNeedIsKill", and he originally had the idea of "a game-like loop", which also corresponds to the "ancient book" of "Koshodo Incident Notes", but I only think about the theme when I think about the next step in the story. Then, when considering the theme and deciding how to proceed with the plot, the main characters are basically automatically determined. Of course, from the perspective of the character's appearance, it still caters to the reader's layer, but the basic elements such as the character's personality are still not separated from the plot itself. Characters are important, but that doesn't mean they take precedence over the plot. In "The Ancient Book Hall Incident Notebook", I was still worried about whether the roles of the male and female characters should be replaced until the end.
