scp-052

Item Number: SCP-048

Object Class: None (see description)

Special Containment Procedures: To prevent the recurrence of the tragedy, this designation is permanently removed. This number is no longer granted to any employee.

Description: SCP-048 is considered by all SCP personnel to be a "cursed number": any item assigned this designation will be destroyed, stolen, or disappear from the Foundation, and will not be the result of personal error. In addition, individuals assigned SCP-048 designations are 50% higher than others when confronted with factors such as fatality.

Whether 048 is really supernatural or not is unknown, but in terms of superstitions surrounding this number, removing it from the job list will help maintain employee morale.

Addendum 1: It's funny. I'll prove to you that it's just a superstition. SCP-048 was removed, and [DATA EXPUNGED] was granted. - Dr. Cortez.

Addendum 2: SCP-048 accidentally threw [DATA EXPUNGED] in the trash this morning and lost it. In an unrelated accident, Dr. Cortez's arm is accidentally caught in a blender. SCP-048 was completely abandoned. - O5-11

Addendum 3: SCP-048 was removed from the archives at one point after it was clearly determined that no so-called "horror stories" existed, let alone placed under Foundation control. It is believed that this error is due to a low-level researcher attempting to save this "awesome story idea" to his hard drive when he overwrites the data space prepared for SCP-048. The researcher has been expelled from all current data work. -05-11

Item No: SCP-050

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: To date, all attempts to suppress SCP-050 have been unsuccessful1. The current owner of SCP-050 will leave it in a regular office2.

Description: SCP-050 appears to be a statue of a monkey approximately one foot 3 tall reading a book. The bottom of the statue is inscribed in cursive script "To the wisest of the wise".

The statue has been shown to be immune to all damage.4 Since this article, all damage testing has been discontinued. Similarly, there is no way to date it precisely.

When left alone, SCP-050 has been shown to do both good and bad things to its incumbents.5 Although no method or number of records indicate that SCP-050 has moved, the room in which SCP-050 is placed will be kept clean and as tidy as possible. Files are sorted, junk is cleaned up, and more often than not, messy gets neat. In any case, SCP-050 has always set a trap for its owner, and these pranks are discovered before it is too late.

Footnotes

1. At this time, attempts to contain SCP-050 have been discontinued.

2. Attempting to leave SCP-050 in an unused office will result in it following its owner home. This is against the statutes and must not be allowed.

3. One of the properties of SCP-050 is that regardless of the metric system used, all records of that metric system will soon be replaced by a commonly used metric system.

4. Attempts to harm SCP-050 have led to an increase in deadly "shenanigans".

5. See Document 050 for details.

Item No: SCP-052

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: While it is not possible to isolate SCP-052 from the New York subway system, its fixed pattern of behavior allows the Foundation to prevent public access to it. Platforms A/B/C/D on 59th Street will be closed to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., and will be taken over by agents from Mobile Task Force Gamma-6. Agents were instructed to prevent any civilians from accidentally approaching the platform, and to apprehend anyone leaving SCP-052. Any person disembarking from SCP-052 must be transported to Site-21 for brief questioning and processing. Any civilians who have seen SCP-052 may be released after administration of Class-B amnestics.

Description: SCP-052 is an R4 New York subway train. Official records show that the train was built in 1932 and decommissioned and scrapped in 1975. Despite this, targets continue to appear on the A/D track at 59th Street and 8th Boulevard Station in Uptown every Saturday at 11:57 a.m. The train appears to be in good condition and is labeled "Class A". The train always shows up on time, opens the door for about five minutes to pick/unload passengers, and then closes the door and leaves to disappear. The train does not appear to be attempting to detain passengers, or wait for those who leave the train when it appears. Most of the explorers who boarded SCP-052 did not return. Passengers exiting SCP-052 claim to have boarded the bus at several different times, from 1976 to 2204; The latter claimed that he thought SCP-052 was a 300th anniversary train. None of these people kept any memories of being on the train.

Addendum: Any passenger leaving SCP-052 must be sent to Site-21 for questioning to determine their origin and danger to the current timeline. Generally, passengers from the past are allowed to integrate into society after being administered Class-A amnestics. Passengers from the future must be detained indefinitely (see Order 69-A1 from 05-9). District 21 is currently holding 26 passengers. Despite measures to prevent public access, we were able to recover a lot of passengers from the future. Although some are from alternate timelines, it is more likely that SCP-052 began to appear at another time/place, requesting an extended quarantine.

The Foundation has sent experimenters into the train on several occasions in an attempt to find out what happened to the train after it vanished.

Test 052-1: On 05/31/2009, Agent ████ boarded the train. There is no record of recycling.

Experiment 052-2: On 06/06/2009, Agent ████████ entered the train, and with no recovery recorded, he returned to 1980 and was killed during a conflict with [REDACTED].

Experiment 052-3: See note for Passenger 052-4. Following Experiment 052-3, command 05 ordered that no further agents be allowed to enter SCP-052 as passengers. Consider replacing them with D-class personnel, but it would be risky to let D-class personnel enter the timeline of the past.

Passenger records recovered and withheld by the Foundation at this time

Passenger 052-1: Entered the train on July 14, 2012; Recovered May 8, 2008.

Notes: She is an accountant who boarded a train on her way home from the theater, expressing shock and surprise at being sent back 4 years later, though she does not appear to have changed or been harmed in any way. She must be held indefinitely to prevent her from contacting her in the current timeline (4 years ago) from triggering adverse social effects.

Passenger 052-2: Entered the train on December 12, 1976; Recovered on May 15, 2008.

Note: Subject got lost on the way to "Studio 54" and entered the train. Despite the lack of injuries and no social effects, 052-2 continued to be held for examination, and psychiatrists were convinced that the 32-year interval was too long for him to integrate into current society.

Passenger 052-3: Entered the train on December 6, 2014 and recovered on July 20, 2009.

Note: A visitor from Jacksonville, Florida; Target 052-3 now speaks in Albanian instead of English. 05 Order: The goal comes from the future, and it is difficult to integrate into the current society. Seizures therefore continued.

Passenger 052-4: Entered the train on July 13, 2009; Recovered July 20, 2009.

Notes: Agent ███████ Train entering during Experiment 052-3. The returning agent's hands were surgically amputated, and he had a note in his pocket that read "Don't send any more people". The individual has no memory of being in the car, but after being hypnotized, he revealed [DATA EXPUNGED].

Passenger 052-5: Agent ████. Entering the train at an unknown time is a violation of the relevant agreement. On July 11, 2009, the subject's body was violently thrown out of the train and thrown 10 meters away. During inspection, the target was found to be [DATA EXPUNGED]. Consideration is currently being given to enhancing security for SCP-052 to prevent such incidents from occurring.

Passenger 052-6:█████ ████████ Identified as a Level 4 Director from the "SCP Foundation", he entered the train in December 2124 and was administered Class-A amnestics before boarding, thus successfully avoiding the fate of 052-4 and 052-5. Recovered on February 6, 2010. As this individual is to be permanently detained by the Foundation, Command 05 has reviewed and opened a number of other classified items in our possession to him, hoping to gather more new containment methods to avoid possible future containment breaches. Agent ████████ very cooperative, and we were able to get the following information:

- It's a good thing we don't know how to open SCP-699. The subject's face turned pale and refused to continue discussing SCP-699.

- Survived the "2092 Great Zombie Plague" caused by the leak of SCP-008.

-SCP-███ can be killed using [DATA EXPUNGED] and SCP-███ via [DATA EXPUNGED]. [Permission for this experiment was denied by 05-█.] ]

- He works for Dr. Jack Bright.
