On March 19, 1950, all the teachers and students of the school took the train to Spring City.

Many citizens watched along the way, and some even set off firecrackers. We didn't squint, we held our heads up, and walked through the streets. We thought in our hearts that the training in Yixian County, for today's display, must not let the army lose face, and must give a good impression to the citizens. After passing through the city, we came to the review playground of the Fourth Corps, when passing through the review stand, everyone was full of energy, held their heads high, and turned to the rostrum with a "swish" face to salute, majestic and heroic, majestic, high-spirited, through the review stand.

The head of the military academy, the girls' squadron, walked at the head of the team. Especially the women's squadron, they are heroic and cool, and their faces and hair change are enviable. The "home" of our military university is the Nanzhao Provincial Army Martial Arts Hall. So far, the fourth branch of the military university set off from Yuzhang Province to Chuncheng, Nanzhao Province, which lasted more than seven months, passing through five provinces of Yuzhang Province, Guangzhou Province, Gui Province, Puyang Province, and Nanzhao Province, traveling more than 5,000 miles, and "marching to the southwest" declared a victorious end!

Nanzhao Provincial Army Martial Arts Hall is located in the west side of Tianhu Park in Chuncheng City, the scope is larger, it is the earliest established a famous military academy in modern times, it is the "cradle of military schools", opened in 1909, Nanzhao Provincial Army Martial Arts Hall officially opened, Gao Moumou was the first general office (principal). At the beginning of the opening of the school, it was divided into four military departments: infantry, cavalry, artillery and engineering, and there were three classes A, B and C. The curriculum is modeled after a non-commissioned officer school and is divided into two categories: discipline and technique. Wutang has hired a group of graduates of the domestic martial arts academy and foreign non-commissioned officers and international students to teach. By the time of the Great Revolution, Wutang had sent more than 600 middle and lower-level officers to the New Army of Nanzhao Province.

When we came to the martial arts, we saw a tall and majestic gate made of white marble, welcoming us. Her spirit of accepting all rivers and hiding everything in her belly made the students awe-inspired. Walking into the campus, there is a small garden-like building to the west, which is the office of the head of the college, and to the east is the residence and living area of the units directly under the school. Along the avenue forward, the west is a large playground with a football field, the north side of the playground is a three-storey teaching building with a convex front, the two wings of the building are two buildings, they are connected with the back buildings, forming a huge "Hui" shaped building complex, standing in the middle of the "Hui" building and looking around, it is a huge "Beijing Courtyard", and the courtyard is also a large playground with a football field. To the west of the "Hui" shaped building is an auditorium that can accommodate three or four hundred people, and to the north of the auditorium is the kitchen, and further north are several student dormitories. To the east of the "Hui" complex, there are several warehouses and toilets.

The "Hui" shaped buildings are all two-story buildings made of large stones, so the walls are thicker, and the ground floor and the second floor are paved with wooden floors, which have worn out unevenly over the past few decades. The campus is full of green leaves, pine and cypress, and it is still vigorous.

The entire martial arts hall was empty, and everything that could be moved was moved, leaving only an empty shell school. We lived in each building as a unit, and we all slept on the floor, all in bunks. The head of the school could only sleep on the marching bed. This is our home!

To the east of Wutang is Tianhu Park, where there is a large square well, which is a source of drinking water for the surrounding residents, and in order to prevent the enemy from poisoning, electric lights are installed, and we send people to stand guard during the day and night. Tianhu Park is already a mess, with fallen flowers and trees, broken buildings, piles of garbage, and smoky lakes. There used to be a library in the "Lake Center Pavilion", but now it is empty. To the east of Tianhu Park is Mr. Lu's high-ranking residence, and to the north is Nanzhao Provincial University.

In early May 1950, after more than two months of university study, the cadets of the fourth branch of the Military University were about to end their college life, and on the eve of graduation, each of them had to write a paper with a comprehensive personal summary, plus a political theory examination.

The political exam was easy to do, but the essay was very demanding. It is necessary not only to have a bold ideological dissection, but also to have a detailed life content; It is necessary not only to analyze the appearance of things, but also to reveal the laws of things. It is necessary to use the methods of correcting materialism and historical materialism to theoretically analyze and enhance one's understanding of the theory of dictatorship, to change one's mind, to change one's thinking, to change one's stance and viewpoint, and to realize the "real transformation from ape to man." Every old intellectual who was born out of the old society can truly become a thorough revolutionary in thought and action.

Of course, the students who joined the army with me had to break with the old ideas and concepts ideologically, from their viewpoints, and from their standpoints. The old ideology and the new ideology are waging a fierce struggle in their minds, and the masses of the people are the creators of history, and it is by no means the heroes who create history.
