Chapter 14: A Festive Day
Climb the high-rise building of Bajingtai, only to see the distant mountains like daisies, the rivers and mountains are picturesque, the grass and trees on both sides of the bank are lush, the sand gulls fly and gather, the big river goes north, the river is rushing, it makes people think about it, and the heart is relaxed. There is really a feeling of "where is the sunset township, and the Yanbo River makes people sad". When I came to Yu Gutai, I saw that the stone tablet was engraved with "Bodhisattva Barbarian Yu Gutai" written by Xin Qiji, a patriotic poet of the Southern Song Dynasty:
"Yu Gu is under the Qingjiang River, and there are many pedestrians in the middle of the tears. Looking at Chang'an in the northwest, there are countless mountains in pity. The green mountains can't cover it, after all, it flows eastward. Jiang Wan is worried, and the mountains are deep and smell partridges. ”
This poem is short of eight sentences and forty-four characters, expressing the feelings of the lyricist who is worried about the country and the people, which can be described as heartbreaking, blood and tears, which makes people unbearable to read.
When Xin Qiji wrote this poem, it was already the twilight of the hero, from the rushing water of the Qingjiang River, evoking more than 40 years ago the Jin soldiers drove straight into the hinterland of Jiangnan and Yuzhang Province, and the Empress Dowager Longyou and his entourage fled in a hurry, and the Song Dynasty almost perished in the past. As Wen Tianxiang, the governor of Ganzhou in later generations, said in the poem "Yu Gutai": "Ten years of wind and rain dreams, rivers and lakes thousands of miles of thought." It can really be said that "such a loud boring has never been" (Liang Qichao). In addition to Xin Qiji, Wen Tianxiang, Su Dongpo, Wang Yangming, Tang Xianzu and others have sung to Yu Gutai, and shed many popular poems, which may be one of the reasons why Xin Qiji's "Bodhisattva Man, Yu Gutai" is widely circulated.
The reorganization was carried out at the Ganzhou Military University, with the 4th Squadron being incorporated into the 1st Brigade and the 9th Squadron being incorporated into the 2nd Brigade. The military congress also set up the New Democratic Youth League, developed a number of new league members, and also organized and carried out the activity of "evaluating meritorious service and remembering good." I was fortunate to be rated as "good" and commended at the meeting on the basis of actual performance.
On October 1, 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded, and the great nation stood up!
In order to celebrate the founding of the People's Republic of China, the units directly under the XPCC and the Fourth Branch of the Military University held a grand celebration meeting in Ganzhou, held the first five-star red flag-raising ceremony, and listened to the magnificent voice of the great leader announcing the founding of New China to the world.
The whole venue was thunderous, everyone was so excited that they burst into tears, hugged each other, and their faces were filled with tears of joy and happiness. Citizens rushed to tell each other and express their joy, and a grand procession was organized in the locality, with red flags fluttering throughout the city, singing loudly, and the sound of firecrackers coming and going, and everyone was immersed in the sea of revelry.
We had a lively discussion, and everyone held that the birth of New China was a great victory for the liberation of the oppressed nations in the world, another great victory after the victory of the October Revolution in Russia, and a great social change in the contemporary world, which changed the political pattern of the world. For more than 100 years, the Chinese nation, which has been enslaved by the Western powers, has since stood up! She will always stand in the east of the world!
On 22 October, the troops set off, and the streets were lined with crowds of farewells, waving flags and laughing. As the troops passed through the streets, the sound of firecrackers and cheers rose higher and higher. Some citizens presented pennants to the troops, and some gave eggs and oranges to the soldiers. As they walked, the troops shouted: "Learn from the people of the old district!" "Long live the people!" "Long live the people!"
The citizens also chanted: "Long live the people!" "Long live the people!" The slogan resounded in the sky. Thousands of people in Ganzhou City are empty, and the crowd of people who are sending off the army stretches for several miles. With the majestic song of "Forward, forward, forward, our team is ...... to the sun and the land of the motherland", we waved goodbye to the citizens and left the unforgettable Ganzhou.
On the night of leaving Ganzhou, I stayed in Tankou Town, which is eighty miles away from Ganzhou. The town is surrounded by mountains, full of fir and bamboo forests, the road passes through the town, the houses on both sides are dilapidated, all of them are dry walls, fir bark roofs, the villagers' clothes are ragged, women do not bind their feet, they are all big feet, and women have to work to make a living.
I think of the "New Life Movement" and "Creation of New Gannan" in Gannan during the Anti-Japanese War.
On the 23rd, I arrived at the Xiannubu in Nanxian County, and also walked more than 80 miles, and the scene was similar to that of Tankou, but the difference was that I saw terraced fields here. There are many mountains and few flat lands, and only terraced fields are opened to grow rice. Most of the residents carry bamboo baskets to carry things, use the baskets as nursery bags, and put their children in bamboo baskets, freeing up their hands for work. One of their staple foods is the sweet potato (sweet potato) produced here, which is crunchy and delicious, sweet, thirst-quenching and satisfying. The people have been fighting against nature for a long time and have overcome it with their own wisdom.
On the 25th, I walked relatively fast and rushed to Huangxiba Xiaomei to lock up. At noon, I ate a porridge in Qinglong Town, immediately hurried, the terrain gradually rose, the mountain road winded up the mountain, it was dark to Xiaomeiguan, camping in the woods. In the evening, the troops made a summary of the march and demanded that they enforce mass discipline more exemplarily.
On the 26th, after walking thirty miles, I began to climb Dayu Mountain. Dayu Mountain is the watershed of Yuzhang Province and Guangzhou Province, is the largest mountain range in Gannan, look up as far as the eye can see, the mountains are undulating, continuous, since ancient times, it is the place where soldiers must fight and the main trade route. An ancient trade road winds its way up to Canton Province. The mountains are getting higher and the road is getting steeper. We walked on a small road, tortuous and steep, into the mountains and forests, pine and cypress, covering the sky and the sun, the breeze blowing, very cool. After walking for less than two hours, we finally arrived at the top of Dayu Mountain-pine forest, and engraved the three big characters of "Xiaosongguan" on a tall stone tablet.
It is said that there are plum trees in the vicinity of the mountain, and when the plum blossoms bloom every year, the mountain is full of fragrance, and the pine trees here are tall and dense, and the pine forest often emits the roar of pine waves, so it is also called a pine forest. Everyone stopped here to rest, there is a mountain spring nearby, the water is cold, the sound of the water is dingdong, bubbling outflow, everyone let go of the belly and drank a joy, refreshing and refreshing, it is really the best natural mineral water, each of us is full of a pot.
I'm about to cross the little merlin, my heart is a little heavy, my feet are walking slowly, one step across the two provinces, I am about to leave the hometown where I was born and raised. The homeland is hard to leave, that love, that nostalgia, it is difficult to give up, depending on the love of other feelings, lingering in my heart, I always turn back one step at a time, look affectionately at the direction of Yuzhang Province, and shout from time to time: "Goodbye to my hometown!" ”
Goodbye hometown, we will not forget your nurturing kindness, and we will not disgrace you! It was October 26, 1949.
That night, I stayed in a small village in Xiong County, Quang Province, and I was a little unhappy because I was away from my hometown, and although I was tired all the way, I still couldn't sleep for a long time.
It was autumn, but after entering Guangdong, the weather was exceptionally warm. The scenery of the southern country is different from that of Yuzhang Province, separated by a mountain, and the climate of the north and south is very different. About 70 kilometers from Yuxian to Xiongxian, along the tattered "national highway", circling down the Da Yuling, the sand drilled into the shoes from time to time, and the sand had to be poured from time to time, so that the march was slow, and it took more than five o'clock in the afternoon to arrive at the first pass in Guangdong - Xiongxian, and lived in the south of the city.
