Chapter Eighty-Eight: Sun Tzu's Philosophy

The battle between Sun Qi and Zhang Bairen attracted a lot of attention, especially the strange light curtain, some masters could easily see that this was transformed by physical sword qi, although the refining was not high, but this was indeed physical sword qi.

Zhang Bai endured a lot of injuries and was recuperating, and Sun Qi was the same. For Sun Qi, all ten of its games have ended, and although he has only won nine of them, he should also be able to advance. Wei Ziheng finished his last match in the afternoon of the same day, winning all ten in a row. The opponents he has encountered are not so strong, but they are tricky enough, and no one is a decathlon, and there will be more or less different directions in swordsmanship.

Although Wang Xu was always worried that he would lose, his next luck was still good, and he won the last game.

All the battles in the first round of the five were over, Wei Ziheng and Qinglian won ten consecutive victories, while the other three all won nine, overall, this result is already very good in the eyes of those in the outside world.

After the first round, everyone also began to rest or practice swordsmanship to varying degrees. The first round is usually to eliminate those who are weak, and 500 people are selected from nearly 4,000 people, and this selection is still relatively strong.

There are a total of 100 groups in the team competition, with five groups as a group, and the top two winners in each group will be selected. A total of 300 will be eliminated. There are only 200 people left, but the next priority is the most important. All the masters who participated in the famous sword conference will gather among these 200 people to participate in the third round of the one-on-one peak duel, and the third round is also the most cruel, because you can only win or lose in one game, and you will have no chance.

200 people, 100 people, 50 people, 25 people. Even after passing the battle, the battle won four consecutive victories in the third round, but it still couldn't escape the fate of being removed. The organizers and spectators will work together to select the one with the worst performance in the two rounds out of the 25 people. Such rules must require these masters to perform fully in the second round of the team competition.

The last 24 people are the real leaders of the entire civil assembly.

But will it be possible to get that far? For now, it's a bit far away.

How to overcome others is not to blindly understand and look for the shortcomings of others, but how to strengthen their own strengths. Wei Ziheng sat quietly in the room of the envoy of the Yue Kingdom, thinking carefully.

Wei Ziheng slowly took out the thirteen articles that he had read from time to time that his grandson had given him. Wei Ziheng has actually browsed it several times before, although he knows in his heart that this is a rare masterpiece, but he doesn't have much time to study it carefully, and the truth and philosophy contained in it don't seem to be understood.

Now while he was sitting cross-legged and resting, he slowly took out this exquisite brocade silk, looked at the handwriting on it, and couldn't help but fall into deep thought.

Gongsun Wu of Changqing devoted his whole life to Wu Guoguo and wrote this book. He was respected as a representative of the military family by some later generations of soldiers.

Wei Ziheng sighed silently and said, "Maybe it won't be possible until I return to the Jin Kingdom." It seems that the current Jin Kingdom is not very peaceful. Could it be said that the rights of the six kings have begun to suppress the monarch? ”

Zhao Lei, the one from the Chaos God Gate, met Wei Ziheng again and described the situation about the Jin Kingdom, and it seemed that the situation was not optimistic.

According to Zhao Lei's story, it seems that very early, Liuqing is no longer Liuqing, more than ten years ago, because of a relationship between Yi and food, which led to some unharmonious things, Zhongxing and Fan were suppressed, and the current Jin court seems to be controlled by Han, Zhao, Wei, and Zhi. Moreover, the struggle intensified, and his family Wei Qing was inevitably involved in this power dispute, which was different from the situation of Yue Guo.

In fact, the longevity of the Yue King is only because of power, and the centralization of power and the symbol of the royal family are still very large. And the Jin Kingdom, which has always dominated the Central Plains, is experiencing a very serious monarchial crisis at this time. Leaving aside the decentralization of power, what is more serious is that the symbol of the royal family is also weakening day by day. It is a fact that the monarch of the Jin State is weak and incompetent, and it is not false that the ministers and doctors are rushing to seize power. In such a situation, the Jin State was actually in danger.

The Jin State has always been a powerful country in the north, and since the Emperor was given too much power, the bane has also begun to spread. This matter is not a very obscure matter, and some people who are familiar with the Central Plains government have heard of it.

When Wei Ziheng heard the news, he was very worried, after all, as a member of the Wei family, how could he not worry about this kind of thing?

Also at this time, Wei Ziheng also thought clearly, why did Sun Chi say it at that time? Perhaps among the three brothers, he was the most likely to use this military book. Now it seems that everything is clear. Sun Chi has traveled to various countries and learned a lot of things, I'm afraid the reason why he did this before was to prepare for the future!

Wei Ziheng opened these thirteen articles with a different mood at this time. Carefully study every word, feel the magic and mystery brought by the text, and comprehend the expressive charm contained in the words. These thirteen articles are written in a very unique way, in a proportional way, connecting up and down as one. Cite a lot of factual arguments to show a profound truth in concise language.

Among these thirteen articles, Wei Ziheng's favorite one is the one called Nine Changes.

That's what it started with.

Sun Tzu said: All the methods of using military will be ordered by the king, and the army will gather the people. There is no land to give up, the land is combined, there is no Jedi left, the land is encircled, and the land is killed. There is no way to help it, the army does not attack, the city does not attack, the land does not fight, and the king's order is not affected. Therefore, those who will be able to use the land of the nine changes will know how to use soldiers; Those who will not be able to get the benefits of the nine changes, although they know the terrain, they will not be able to get the benefits of the land. The army does not know the art of nine changes, although it knows the five benefits, it cannot be used by people.

Although this passage clearly refers to the general law of the use of troops in war, the commander was ordered by the king to recruit the people to form an army, and after the expedition, he encountered difficult access to land such as mountains and forests, swamps and puddles, and called it a mound. Corresponding to it are other Qu Lands, Jedi, Wai Lands, and Dead Lands.

This is obviously linked to the art of war, but in fact, this passage can be understood from a different perspective. Everything must be flexible, and appropriate methods should be adopted according to local conditions. All things lie in changing words, how to make good use of changing talents, and win all battles. The same is true for life to walk the rivers and lakes and break through the world. No matter how high your strength is, no matter how strong your ability is, you have supreme ability, but after all, you are human. If you can't break through this limitation of people, you will still change after all.

Therefore, it is said that the concerns of the wise will be mixed with the interests and disadvantages. Mixed with profit, and pragmatic and credible; Mixed with harm, and the problem can be solved.

But think about it, what is a wise man and what is a mediocre person in this world. Is what the wise man is doing necessarily right? It is often said that the truth is in the hands of a few, and this is just a slogan for the king to rule the whole country by himself. For most people in the world, this is a bunch of mediocrities in the eyes of the wise. They don't understand, or simply don't have a concept of these things. Taking care of their ordinary life may be their greatest wish, but for the group of rulers, it seems to be a bit freewheeling.

Sun Tzu's Art of War makes this point very clear. The opening paragraph is the clearest. Sun Tzu said: The major affairs of the country of soldiers, the place of life and death, and the way of survival must not be overlooked.

There are also some detailed words in the back, starting from the point of view of a soldier, expounding the road of life.

Wei Ziheng put down the brocade silk in his hand, stood up, and walked straight in the room.

He is a reader, but he is better at finding wisdom in books and finding his own wisdom.

For example, the first of Sun Tzu's thirteen articles, counting, Wei Ziheng has been reading for the longest time.

In the eyes of the world, this plan is more of a conspiracy, but in the mouth of Sun Tzu, this plan means calculation. It is a comparison that fully measures the strength of the enemy and us, that is, the "five things and seven strategies" (Tao, heaven, earth, general, law; The Lord has the way, the general has the ability, the heaven and the earth have it, the law is done, the soldiers are strong, the soldiers are trained, and the rewards and punishments are clear). The two are judged by superiority. If it is said that the scheme of power is a poison smeared on a sharp blade, it is skillful; Sun Tzu advocated casting a peerless weapon in a real way, paying attention to the clumsiest fundamentals, rather than the operational side. On the battlefield, it is hard work to see red with bayonets, and there is no opportunism. In the final analysis, these thirteen articles are not books about the victory of tricks, but books about the decisive victory of strength. After all, stratagem is also part of strength. Sun Tzu's core point is clear.

The beginning of the grandson, counting. He is very cautious, full of awe, and pays attention to the soldiers who surrender without a fight. Different from Lao Tzu's Taoist Tao of "subtle and subtle, deep and unknowable", the Tao of the soldier is either the truth of the universe, or the extremely practical "those who have the same desires win". Applied to reality is to train the soldiers to use them as freely as their own arms, quiet as Mount Tai, moving like a tiger, can advance or retreat, ever-changing. To be able to do as many troops as a general, the first thing to practice is the hard kung fu of organizing and leading drills.

Sun Tzu's core idea is "know yourself and know your opponent, and you will not be defeated in a hundred battles". Lao Tzu also said, "Those who know others are wise, and those who know themselves are clear." Confucius also had similar remarks, but it was not clear, and it ran through benevolence, and when you think about it carefully, there seem to be a lot of deviations. Knowing is not a simple understanding, but a full understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of both sides. Even before the start of the war, he had built a model in his mind, and made an all-round prediction of the situation that the two sides might face, so that "the husband and the temple are counted as the victors without a fight, and they have to count a lot; The temple is not victorious without a fight, and it is considered to be less. More wins, less wins, and nothing counts! I look at it this way, and I can see the victory or defeat. On this basis, no matter how much attention is paid to "soldiers, tricks", they can grasp the weaknesses of the opponent to break through, and if there is no weakness, they must also list the twelve tricks to force the opponent to misjudge and lure the opponent to make mistakes. "Therefore, what can be shown cannot be used, what is not used is not, what is near is shown far away, and what is far is shown that it is near; Profit and temptation, chaos and take, real and prepared, strong and avoid, angry and scratch, humble and arrogant, hard work, kiss and leave. Attack it unprepared, take it by surprise. The victory of this soldier cannot be passed on first. Therefore, the master duel, just like the game of a super-first-class chess player, the board looks bland, but this is a higher level of blandness, every move and style are heavy, there is no choice, bite together, wait for a turnaround in repeated attacks and perseverance, do not let the opponent have any chance to move, and the scene is also simple and almost primitive gladiatorial fighting.

The thousands of avenues in this world are actually made up of countless small truths. Grasp the small things in front of you, and feel the intricate avenues of the world. This is what the leaders of the hundreds of schools of thought are doing now. The reason is very simple, it just depends on what angle you stand on to perceive.

Whether it's humanity or swordsmanship, or the avenue of common life?

At the end of the day, it's the way of the heart. Mood is the foundation of all things. If the mind deviates, everything collapses.

Wei Ziheng has never felt this kind of feeling after a day of study, this kind of philosophy does not seem to be something he can master, but he always has feelings.
