Today, in the Xi'an Incident Memorial Hall, Zhang Xueliang's speech "China's Only Way Out is to Resist Japan" is still displayed, which shows his determination to resolutely resist Japan and recover his homeland. After Zhang Xueliang made a promise to the students, he drove to the five halls of Huaqingchi to meet Chiang Kai-shek and convey the demands of the petitioning students.
