Yang Bingyin, the local tyrant of Dayi Mountain, was once a student of Yilong County, and he loved to wear the cyan gown of the student on weekdays, so he was called "Yang Maocai". It is said that Yang Bingyin was born in a poor farming family, and his parents sold their fields and cattle in order to provide him with education and progress. This Yang Maocai is also still competitive in studying, and he was able to enter the county school when he was a teenager. Who knew that he was too much of the limelight and offended the local gentry. Those people colluded with the county magistrate, found a fault for Yang Bingyin, charged him with "misconduct", and expelled him from the county school. After this catastrophe, Yang Bingyin's family was ruined, his career was cut off, and he finally embarked on the criminal road of isolating himself from the imperial court.

When Chen Youfu attacked Yang Bingyin's camp, he also captured an old scholar in Langzhong County. This old scholar's name is Xu Chengju, who has not been able to enter the endowment for forty years, and has also voted for a local thrug in desperation. When Chen Youfu was screening and interrogating, Yang Bingyin begged for mercy, but Xu Chengju, who was extremely obscene, stood proudly and behaved very backbone.

When Chen Youfu persuaded Xu Chengju to surrender, the old man Xu wrote a confession in four or six prose scripts, which can be recited; When Chen Youfu went on a killing spree against the local tyrants, the old man Xu was calm and generous, and his color remained unchanged (Note 1). Wang Xingwu suggested that because of the information blockage and the long distance of the road, most of the scholars in northern Sichuan did not have the opportunity to take the Shu exam. I hope that the prince can give those hopeless scholars in northern Sichuan a way out, so that they can have one more choice outside the imperial court.
