Chapter 17: Lady Loris's Reaction
Carl finally finds the twins, who appear to be sending something after he helps Professor Flitwick float all the Christmas trees.
"What are you doing?" Karl asked curiously, startling George and Weasley, relieved to see that it was Carl.
"Carl, do you walk silently?" George touched his chest, looking terrified, and threw a wink at Carl.
Karl simply ignored him.
Seeing that the normal attack was ineffective, the twins directly opened up.
"What are you looking for the two of us, our dear Gryffindor amorous little prince?" quipped.
"The amorous little prince of Gryffindor?"
Day!
Carl immediately reacted that the two must have snuck into his dorm room while he wasn't waking up, and they were also peeking at his Christmas presents!
If these two goods spread this nickname - my day!
The consequences are unimaginable.
Thinking of this, Carl smiled instead.
Who is he?
He was the only Gryffindor who could take a leave of absence from Professor McGonagall.
Even Professor McGonagall could handle it, not to mention the twins, these two were so easy to deal with.
"Are you writing to Jokowi?" Karl said casually, "what do you think I would do if I wrote to your mother about it?"
"Don't!
"Just kidding! buddy! Don't take it seriously!"
The twins immediately froze.
Carl nodded in satisfaction, "Okay, let's be serious." ”
He took the crackling card out of his bosom and showed it to the twins.
Nothing in Jokowi's joke shop is cheap, the Weasleys are not wealthy, the twins have even less pocket money, and as a good friend, Carl doesn't want the two of them to empty their pockets just to give him a gift.
And seriously, he thought it was so boring, he wouldn't have liked it even as a kid in his previous life.
However, in order not to make his words too hurtful, Carl skipped this part and said directly: "I think Mrs. Weasley gave me a good gift, you can refer to her next time." ”
"Spare us, Carl, and you're the only one who thinks your mother's gift is good. Fred looked like he was begging for mercy.
Much better than yours!" Karl grumbled inwardly.
The sugar was delicious, and the sweater he wore on him now, it was very comfortable and warm.
So, he ignored Fred and continued, "As far as I know, this thing has been popular for hundreds of years, right?
"Come on, Carl, you don't even know what the word 'play' means! you're almost at home to the library!" George rolled his eyes dryly, and Fred nodded approvingly.
"Are you challenging me?" Karl looked at George and Fred seriously, so that they didn't react for a long time.
"We-"
"Okay! I'm up for your challenge!"
Just kidding! Who in the world can play with him?
It just so happened that he had some ideas, and wanted to take advantage of this holiday to test his learning results in the past six months, and by the way, return George and Fred's Christmas gifts.
Make that thing and practice your hands. Carl said to himself.
......
George and Fred walked down from the rooftop with Carl in confusion, they had no idea what Carl meant.
Coincidentally, when they first descended to the eighth floor, a cat happened to be in their way.
"Let's go! it's Lady Loris!" said George and Fred instinctively wanted to run.
"Why run?" Karl wondered.
The twins were also stunned, yes, why did they run? They weren't breaking the school rules now.
Well, they're used to hiding from Filch.
Karl shrugged his shoulders and walked forward, ready to go back past Filch's cat.
But as he got closer and closer to Lady Loris, the latter looked at Karl with a wary look at him, bowed like a full moon.
Apparently, she was frightened.
Carl thought that maybe he was walking too fast and scared the cat, so he deliberately slowed down.
Unexpectedly, Mrs. Loris howled miserably, turned around and ran.
Carl and the twins winked at each other, completely unsure of what was going on.
What is this?
On the way back,
"Carl, Lady Loris seems to be afraid of you. Fred said, his expression full of excitement.
Karl ignored him, his brow furrowed, for he remembered that he had never done anything to Filch's cat.
In fact, every time he saw the cat from afar, he walked around because he didn't want to get into trouble.
This time he really didn't pay attention, but if he bumped into it, he bumped into it, so what did it matter, but he didn't expect that such a thing would happen.
"Great, Carl!" George and Verde were as excited as if they had discovered a new world, "as long as you're here, Lady Loris won't trouble us again!"
Carl didn't bother with them, he was thinking.
Since entering the wizarding world, he has encountered too many anomalous things, because he can't get answers from Dumbledore, so he has to rely on himself.
He had been thinking about the connection between these things, but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but for now, Mrs. Loris's reaction made him feel like he had caught some clues.
"I need to go to the library!" Carl said to George and Fred.
With that, he hurried away.
Leaving the twins looking at each other suspiciously, did they miss something?
- Thanks to his memory, he has always had memories before the time-travel, but he has no memory of those things he hasn't looked at seriously. He had to look it up.
