Section 47: Genius or Madman
There were only subtle ripples on the surface of the sea, and a small merchant ship drifted on the surface, sails and several thick linen ropes connected to the mast, and staggered under the force of the wind.
"Vomit~~." A sound of vomiting came from the deck, and Edward lay on the deck vomiting desperately, and his face turned much paler.
"We shouldn't have brought him." Huntress Eve sighed to Bruce.
"Hmm." Bruce stood on the rickety deck, he tried his best to suppress his boiling stomach, and his head felt dizzy, and Bruce felt very uncomfortable for the first time.
Stukov held the rudder and laughed, the salty sea water poured on him, Stukov did not feel uncomfortable at all, breathing the smell of the sea made him refreshed, the wind direction was very smooth at this time, but Stukov would not be careless, he knew that the sea was like a woman moody.
"Your Lord, you'd better go back to the cabin! We'll be there soon. Stukov said to Bruce.
Bruce really couldn't hold it on deck, and he staggered into the cabin with the sides of the ship, and although there was a smell of moldy and dampness, it was always better to lie down.
Stukov was indeed an experienced captain, and he took Bruce and the others to a port closest to the bishopric, where he hired a small merchant ship, and Bruce boarded the ship with the huntress Eve and Edward, and left Mavis and Anne waiting at the harbor inn.
"Uh-huh." Edward crawled towards the hatch of the ship, only to accidentally roll down the wooden ladder, and he let out a scream, but Bruce didn't care about him at this time.
But Eve, the huntress, stood firmly on the deck, her bow and arrow on her back, looking at the sea around her, and Stukov looked at the tall woman with some curiosity.
"You're very good, it's the first time I've seen a woman standing on the deck of a sail." Stukov said to Eve.
"This level of shaking is nothing to me." Eve said contemptuously.
"Oh, I see you with a bow and arrows on your back, can you shoot an arrow in such a shaky sea?" Stukov asked, somewhat disbelieving.
"Do you want to see it?" Eve stared at Stukov, her eyes as sharp as eagles.
Stukov shook his head, he felt that the woman in front of him was a little difficult to mess with, and he had more to worry about on the sea.
As the small merchant ship sailed on the surface, Stukov saw some small islands and reefs scattered across the sea, and he carefully moved the rudder to let his ship go around them, knowing that there must be reefs under the surface.
"Whew." Stukov was relieved when he rounded the last reef, he looked up and saw a flock of seagulls hovering above the island for a long time, Stukov frowned slightly, but he didn't care to continue steering the boat in the direction of Death Island.
Just as Stukov's ship was departing, several small boats rowed out from behind the reef, and on board were a group of pirates in thick linen shirts, with round shields and axes in their hands, and they watched in the direction of the merchant ships.
"Chief, why don't you stop that merchant ship?" One of the pirates asked curiously, the only man in the iron helmet among them.
"Fool, that merchant ship is moving so fast, the draft is so shallow, it must be empty, we are waiting for them to stop them when they return." The pirate leader said loudly, two golden beards curled over his lips.
"Good idea."
"Yay~~." The pirates cheered, and they looked greedily at the distant merchant ships, imagining that they were laden with wine and food, and that, if they were lucky, they might be able to find a few women.
Stukov knew the sea well, and after half a day of sailing for the small merchant ships, an island covered with dense palm trees appeared, and the most striking thing on the island was a rising volcano, thick black smoke rising into the sky, and the smell of sulfur filled the entire island.
"Have you arrived?" Bruce stepped out from under the cabin, he looked at the active volcanic island with a smile on his face, this was exactly what he was trying to find.
"The gates of hell you're looking for have arrived, but I'm curious, my lord, what do you want from here? Is it a pact with the devil? "Stukov sailed the boat closer to the shore, the anchor was lowered to hold the ship in place, and a small wooden boat was lowered.
Bruce, Stukov, and Eve got into the wooden boat, followed by two or three sailors, who rowed Bruce and the others to the island, but the sailors refused to get off the boat and set foot on the island.
"Brush." Bruce jumped out of the boat without fear, his feet on the soft sand, and the smell of sulfur in the air not only did not frighten him, but rather a sense of excitement.
Huntress Eve took off the bow she was carrying, and she carefully guarded her surroundings, if this was where the Gates of Hell were, then she would shoot an arrow from the demon with her bow before she was killed by the demon.
Bruce took a few steps, and he immediately stopped, and Stukov and Eve tensed, but Bruce just bent down and pinched a lump of ash with his hands, and happily held it up for them to see.
"Look, it's volcanic ash, and there's sulfur over here, hahaha." Bruce was overjoyed as if he had found a treasure, and he picked up the brimstone on the ground and looked at it over and over again.
"Is your master insane?" Stukov pursed his lips and said to Eve, but the other party ignored him.
"Squeak." Suddenly, a black thing flew towards Bruce and the others, and Eve immediately took a bow and shot an arrow, and the arrow flew over and hit a fruit, and at the same time there was a black shadow scurrying between the palm trees.
"Don't be afraid, it's supposed to be a monkey." Bruce stopped Eve, looking at the monkeys who were curiously looking at them among the leaves, but he didn't expect that there were still monkeys on this island.
Bruce immediately gave the order to the crowd, which made Stukov almost mad, he thought that Bruce was looking for something terrible, but it was just some dust.
"Dust, the good thing you said is dust?" Stukov angrily grabbed a handful of volcanic ash filled with wooden boats and said to Bruce.
"That's right." Bruce shrugged his shoulders and said, angry Stukov kept cursing, but Bruce didn't care, with the ash, he would be able to make his territory indestructible, and his proud and arrogant brother would no longer be able to dictate to him.
Not only was there volcanic ash but also a pile of sulfur on the ship, and Baby Bruce felt like he had dug up a treasure.
"Never guess what Bruce thinks." Eve the Huntress smiled sarcastically at Stukov as she boarded the ship, and Stukov could only lament that he had given the rest of his life to a mad lord in order to survive.
