Chapter Fifty-Four: Knowing the Ancient Yellow Buds
Going out this morning, Nonglu is going to visit the old tea man Luo Dali, this ancient village has an ancient tea plantation, which is quite legendary.
In the south of Jingshan Mountain, a kind of famous tea is abundant, the color is like a yellow robe, straight like a needle, it is said that this tea has the miraculous effect of brightening the eyes and reducing the fire, can cure the "fire disease", this tea is called "Jingshan Yellow Bud".
In ancient times, there were two villages on the South Mountain in the depths of the Yunwu Mountain, and the two villages were only a few miles apart, but in the eyes of the outside world, they were one, although they had their own differences, and also had similar living habits and farming methods, and lived in the same style of stone houses. The reason for this has to start with the marriage between the elders of the ancient Luo clan and the princess of the Xiong clan.
Today, the tall bronze statues of the Luo clan elders and the Xiong tribesmen are enshrined in the temple. Regarding the story of Luo Xin, the elder of the clan, and the three princesses of the Xiong tribe, the old tea man Luo Dali told it to the farmer, and he naturally knew it well.
According to genealogical records and legends, the history of these two villages can be traced back to the country of Luo. The country of Luo originated in the Jingshan Mountains. After the state of Chu gradually became stronger, the state of Luo was destroyed by the state of Chu. Due to the weakness of the Luo tribe, they could not resist the invasion of foreign tribes, and were forced to continue to migrate to more remote mountains. During the long migration, the people of the two villages not only experienced the trauma of war, but also often encountered natural disasters. In the end, the people of the two villages happened to settle in this valley.
Once, during the migration, the Luo clan was hit by a major disease disaster, and all the people felt that their heads were sore, their eyes were black, and their limbs were weak, and they could not move, so the elders had to make everyone rest in place in the forest. At this time, one of the clansmen was in unbearable pain, and somehow, unconsciously, plucked a leaf from a tree, put it in his mouth, and fell asleep in a daze. When he awoke, he felt relaxed, clear-headed, bright-eyed, and powerful. He immediately told the elders how he felt.
The elder asked him, "How did you get better?" ”
He said: "I can't tell you clearly, but I remember that when I was in a lot of pain, I took a leaf in my mouth, and I fell asleep in a daze, and when I woke up, I only felt that the disease in my body was gone, and the person was awake." ”
Then the elder asked him, "And from which tree did you have that leaf?" ”
"Not far from here," he said, "is the tree where I am sleeping. ”
So the elder immediately called all the people who were sleeping in the forest and told them to come and pick the leaves from the tree and eat them. Within a few days, it worked, and the tribesmen's illness slowly improved.
The elder said to the people, "This tree is our life-saving tree, it was sent to us by God, and we must remember the shape of the branches and leaves." From then on, the tree became the only medicine at that time.
When the tribe is about to leave, all the tribesmen kowtow to the tree and embark on a new migration.
In the continuous migration, the Luo clan regarded the discovery of new tea trees as a historical mission of the clansmen. However, tea trees are scarce and not easy to see. Therefore, whenever you find one, you put a special mark on the body of the tree to remember its geographical location so that it can be used for future treatment.
How to distinguish tea trees from other plants? For this reason, the elders named it "stubble". After a long migration, they finally settled in a place called Luminggang. Because of its lush forests, the abundance of wild animals, and its remoteness from other ethnic groups, tea trees can be found in the mountains. First, it is easy to pick and ensure supply; second, it is conducive to hunting in the mountains and collecting wild fruits and vegetables; Third, when you see tea seedlings, you can pull them back at any time and plant them in front of the house and behind the house. In this way, day after day, year after year, tea trees from one to several, from one mountain to several, covered to several mountains, after several generations of hard work and careful maintenance, they regard the tea tree as a member of their own family, it is really the emperor to live up to the painstaking people, and finally formed a magnificent ancient tea garden.
In that ancient era, the formation of tea plantations gradually promoted the backward economic and social development of the Luo tribe, and to a certain extent, posed a threat to the dominance of the local Xiong tribe. In order to control the tribe, the Xiong clan first preached, and used the concept of indoctrination to try to change the will of the Luo clan elder and submit to him, but this move was rejected by the Luo clan elder and failed.
After that, the Xiong tribe used force to suppress it, and under the leadership of Elder Luo, after the stubborn resistance of the clan, the Xiong tribe was defeated and retreated. In the end, the King of the Xiong Clan had no choice but to adopt the softening policy of marriage and marry his favorite third princess to the Luo Elder Clan. The elder and the third princess fell in love with each other, and after the two got married, the two sides turned hostility into friendship. Later, King Xiong appointed the third princess as the female official in charge of the mountain, and the elder Luo as the minister in charge of the mountain. Since then, Elder Luo has had an official title.
Elder Luo was often summoned to his territory by the King of the Xiong Clan to assist the royal palace in handling the affairs of his clan. In order to make the Luo tribe peaceful and obey everyone's wishes, the third princess decisively gave up the comfortable life of the palace and went up the mountain to share weal and woe with the elders. The third princess brought advanced farmland farming technology and textile technology to the Luo clan, so she was deeply loved by the people of the clan, and was later called the "clan mother" by the Luo clan.
Time passed, and King Xiong was old, and since he had no children all his life, he could only choose one of his five sons-in-law to inherit the throne. After a few rounds of testing, Elder Luo was the most virtuous, and the four brothers-in-law began to hold a grudge against him, and finally they conspired to kill the elder. Now, the place where Elder Luo passed away is the place where the ancient tea tree grows.
Before his death, Elder Luo left a solemn and philosophical testament to his people: "I will leave you cattle and horses, for fear of natural disasters and death; Leave you gold and silver jewels, and you will run out of them. I will leave you a tea tree, so that future generations will have an inexhaustible supply and inexhaustible supply. You must take care of the tea tree as you care for your own eyes, and pass it from generation to generation, and never let it be lost. ”
After Elder Luo's death, his soul has always guarded his beloved wife and the people he cares about and the tea plantation.
Once, the elder of the Luo clan said to the clansmen: "I will leave you tea trees, and if the village collapses, you will never fall, so you will multiply and grow on the land under my fire." ”
The people asked the elders, "How shall we repay you in the future?" ”
Elder Luo said: "I have no other requirements, as long as you follow the route I have opened, stand firm, step by step, generation by generation, kill a scalper every three years, kill a golden pheasant, and worship for me, I will bless you under the nine springs of tea trees for eternity, peace and happiness." ”
Since then, the Luo clan has to kill cattle every three years, and kill three roosters (as golden chickens) for the elders in the remaining two years, which is the origin of the local "worship of tea ancestors".
At this time, Luo Dali led the farm house around the ancient tea garden, on the side of the hillside and stream, and on the cliff head valley.
Nonglu saw a few old ancient tea trees and said, "Thanks to you, these ancient tea trees are really not easy for tea people!" ”
Luo Dali, the old tea man, said: "Yes, for them, we often have trouble sleeping!" Sometimes there will be life-and-death fights. ”
The world is long, the tea trees are fragrant, and the generations have adhered to it, which can be called a swan song!
