Chapter Sixty-Six: Time is Long in the Ancient Alley
Chen's antique shop, located in the depths of the ancient alleys of Nanyi County, is secluded and serene.
A river gushing from the mountains turned a corner upstream, and when it reached the ancient alley, it opened up and gentle, looking so calm.
The owner, surnamed Chen, is an amiable middle-aged man who often visits his shop. After going back and forth, the two became acquainted.
Every time he went to the store, he smiled at Nong Tianyi from afar and said hello, with a spring-like smile on his face. He runs an antique shop that has been handed down from his ancestors.
As soon as Nong Tian walked in the ancient alley full of vicissitudes, he occasionally found his very particular old shop, and slowly fell in love with it. After a long time, they became old acquaintances with Shopkeeper Chen, and they were very warm with each other.
The ancient alley is relatively narrow, it is also very quiet on weekdays, light and leisurely, if it is a festival day, the township catches up with more people, people crowd people, people are next to each other, it forms a large flow of people, and the alley becomes dense.
The alley is about 200 meters long, and when it reaches the bottom of the alley at the west end, it is like a bend, reaching the main street. The history of the ancient alley is as silent as the tiles under the feet, and some of the fading prosperity and fireworks, as well as the emotional secrets performed by the residents of the ancient alley, are also hidden.
Nong Tianyi was not curious, but regarded Guxiang as a relative, so he had some inexplicable thoughts.
The shochu shop at the east end of the alley exudes the thick smell of artichoke wine, grain wine, sweet potato wine, persimmon wine, rice wine, and ale wine.
If you are a lover of wine, you must stop at the front. The original mellow aroma of wine is irresistible.
Not far away, the white-haired old man sitting on a wooden chair was eating a hookah, and the hookah bag in copper was polished to a bright yellow. The little white dog leaned on the wooden chair, watching the passers-by.
Comfort accumulates here, like a silent force, infiltrating this spiritual home that exudes a strong sense of nostalgia.
The antique shop of the owner of Chen is located in the middle of the alley, which is very convenient for the east and west to enter and exit, and the flow of customers is also easy to gather, which can be described as a treasure of feng shui.
The front of his antique shop is three or four meters wide, antique, with carved windows, wood lacquer skills, and bluestone steps, all showing the scenery of the shopkeeper's former scenery. Although the times are advancing at a rapid pace, the ancient alley has always maintained its own leisurely pace, retaining the warm fragrance of memories.
Ancient alleys, ancient rhymes, ancient styles, and small town stories still exist.
On the street surface of the laneway, there are occasional white veins exposed at the fractures of the residual wall, which resemble the language of carving, and the black tiles are paved into knots, half-covered and half-hidden.
The walls of the foundation, like the green rocks in the mountains, are long and difficult to walk. Tailor shops and embroidery shops are frequented from time to time, woodsmith shops, bamboo shops, and stoneware shops are still around, and sake breweries are slowly producing alcohol.
There are always people who retain a natural and simple way of living, perhaps a nursery rhyme to preserve the memory of life, so that the ancient alleys are still alive and immortal under the surging tide.
One day of leisure, Nong Tianyi went to Shopkeeper Chen to talk about the world, taste tea and discuss art, and did not realize that it was time for dinner. Shopkeeper Chen is a cheerful person, so he has to stay in Nong Tianyi to eat and drink.
Nong Tian couldn't resist him, so he had to obey his orders.
Passing through the antique store and entering the main house, it turns out that there is a courtyard inside, which is not big, but it is also exquisite and chic. An ancient tree climbed high and broke out of the top of a two-story wooden building; A camphor tree should be shorter and lush, as if it was telling, as if it was contemplating something. In the pool, a few red goldfish swim, the water and grass are green, and they are lovers. The walls of the courtyard are deeply stained by the rain for many years. Undoubtedly, it is full of poetry and joy of life, like a painting, but also like a hoarse old ballad.
At this time, the shopkeeper Chen told Nong Tianyi about the story of the ancients who used snow water to make tea.
Boiling tea with snow water, the most famous is Taogu Dangji's "snow sweeping and cooking tea" in the snow.
"Tao Gu has the party captain Jiaji. In case of snow, take snow water to make tea. ”
This Tao Gu was a very famous literati in the Northern Song Dynasty of the Five Dynasties, and he was still a tea addict. In the Ming Dynasty Jiang Yikui's "Yaoshan Tang Waiji", it is recorded that Tao Gu got a concubine of Taiwei Dangjin. On the way home, it happened to be snowing. So Tao Gu asked Dang Ji to sweep the snow and cook tea, and asked, "Does the Dang family understand this kind of elegance?" ”
Dang Ji replied: "Captain Dang is a rough man, how can he know such an elegant thing? He will only sing and drink lamb's wine in the gold tent. Tao Gu listened and was silent.
Regardless of whether Tao Gu was proud or lonely at that time, the elegance of "clearing snow and cooking tea" has been passed down through the ages. Later generations have passed this allusion to the extreme. In the Yuan Dynasty, Li Dezai's loose song "Zhonglu" has words such as "the Tao family bachelor is more coquettish". Xu Wei's "Tao Bachelor Cooking Tea" in the Ming Dynasty; Shi Zhen's "Party Ji Cooking Snow" in the Qing Dynasty are all masterpieces of allusions into the painting. Taogu has also become synonymous with elegance because of the four words "snow sweeping and cooking tea".
After telling the story in a humorous manner, the shopkeeper Chen took out the homemade old rice wine and entertained Nong Tianyi.
He carried the wine in the porcelain bottle, shook it, and said to Nong Tianyi with a smile;
"This wine is a good thing, a good thing."
Nong Tian nodded: "That feeling is good!" ”
In the local area, the old rice wine is also called the first wine, the entrance is soft, there is a sweet taste, the alcohol is low, but the stamina is sufficient, rich in nutrition.
He said humbly: "It's all some small dishes and dishes, and the vegetables are grown in my own garden, so I will eat them." ”
Nong Tianyi smiled and said, "It's good, it's good." ”
"But it's all natural." He deliberately accentuated his tone, and then let Nong Tianyi take a seat.
After three rounds of drinking, they seemed to find a feeling, and their topic was related to the Yaxing of the ancients.
At this time, Shopkeeper Chen blurted out:
One goes two or three miles,
Four or five smoke villages,
Six or seven pavilions,
Eighty or ninety flowers.
Nong Tian was surprised. Deep in this ancient alley lies a deep culture. Business and poetry are intertwined, fireworks and friendship are intertwined, which is really a joy.
Immediately, they clinked glasses. Shopkeeper Chen sandwiched a peanut, chewed it, and said something in his mouth:
Piece by piece,
two, three, four, five,
Six pieces, seven pieces, eight or nine pieces,
Jingshan tea trees are full of green.
After reading the poem, he said heartily: "I made it up blindly." ”
Nong Tianyi said: "Shopkeeper Chen's export is admirable! ”
The last line of the original poem should be "Fly into the reeds and see nothing". Here, Shopkeeper Chen changed the original meaning of the poem, which is quite witty. This change not only expresses the unique scenery of the local area, but also gives new life to the original poem.
This poem Nong Tianyi is very familiar. So Nong Tianyi said: "This change of Shopkeeper Chen not only combines the real situation, but also makes it more flavorful. ”
Shopkeeper Chen hurriedly said, "Where, where, see and smile." ”
After drinking wine and eating, Nong Tianyi came out of the shopkeeper Chen's house, and the night was getting deeper.
On the street, the signboard of the calligraphy and painting shop is flooded with gold letters under the faint shadow of lights, and the thick green font of the tea shop reveals the atmosphere of the forest. Looking up, the night sky of the ancient alley is low and the stars and moon are low, and the shops on both sides seem to be confrontational, sandwiching the past spring and autumn.
The noise of the day dissipated, and occasionally one or two dog barks came from a distance. Walking in the alley at this time, Nong Tianyi seemed to be in the realm of the previous dynasty.
The ancient alley is as quiet as ever, like a lady who hides in the boudoir, quiet and beautiful, virtuous and dignified.
Near the west end of the alley, the crisp bell was full of rhythm, coming out of the watch store minute by minute, piercing the night sky, and also like striking on the clock dial in Nong Tianyi's heart, he had such an indescribable touch.
