The Fourteenth Period, Yao Shun Zen Throne Chapter 1 Gaoyang 颛顼
It is said that Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor lived for one hundred and twenty years, and he had a total of twenty-five sons in his life. Because the Yellow Emperor lived for a long time, when he died, his sons were already old, so he decided to choose an heir among his grandchildren.
In the end, the Yellow Emperor picked and chosen, and he finally found that his second son Changyi's son "Zhuan" was more prominent in all aspects. So, before the Yellow Emperor died, he passed the throne to his grandson Zhuan, who was in his twenties.
When the Yellow Emperor became the co-lord of the world, he liked his eldest sons Xuan Huan and Shao Hao very much, so he used them very much and let them manage some large tribes. He felt that the second son Changyi's ability was limited, so he asked Changyi to go to Ruoshui to be a prince of a small tribe.
After Changyi was sealed to Ruoshui, he married the daughter of the chief of the Shushan clan, a local indigenous tribe, "Chang Servant". Because Changyi was the son of the Yellow Emperor, the chief of the Shushan clan handed over the tribe to Changyi to manage.
Changyi's concubine Changfu is also known as "Nushu", she is a very virtuous woman, Changyi likes her very much, and their relationship is also very good. One night, when the moon was shining high and the sky was soft, the couple took advantage of the moonlight to go out for a walk, and they came to the shore of Ruoshui as they walked.
Suddenly, a light from heaven shone the earth as if it were day. They couldn't help but look up, but saw that there was a vision in the sky of "the stars of Yaoguang through the moon like rainbows". At this moment, Chang Fu suddenly felt that his spirit and cheerfulness ran through the bottom of his heart.
Soon after, the servant began to feel happy, and it turned out that she was pregnant. After being conceived in October, the servants gave birth to their eldest son, Zhuan, in the wild of Wakamizu.
Just when he was born, he still shouted a piece of agate water jade in his mouth, which was warm and slippery, translucent in black, and was a rare piece of jade in the world. He was born with a dark complexion, and he also had large ears and square faces, and he had the appearance of an emperor.
The surname of 颛顼 Ji, the name Gaoyang, the grandson of the Yellow Emperor, and the son of Changyi. 颛顼 was born in the wilderness of Ruoshui (Shu land). Later, under the arrangement of the Yellow Emperor, he went to Kongsang, where his uncle Shaohao lived, and helped Shaohao take care of the affairs of the tribe there.
Later, because of his meritorious service to assist Shaohao's family, he was sealed by Shaohao in Gaoyang Land (now Gaoyang Town, Kaifeng Qi County, Henan). After Shao Hao's death, the descendants of Emperor Yan Gonggong competed with Zhuan Xuan for the throne, and later Zhuan defeated Gonggong Clan, succeeding Shao Hao to govern the Dongyi tribe, called Gaoyang Clan.
After he became the co-lord of the world, he first set the imperial capital in Poor Sang. Later, he moved the imperial capital to Shangqiu (present-day Shangqiu, Henan), and finally, he moved the imperial capital to Diqiu (present-day Puyang, Henan).
In fact, in the later years of Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor, the Jiuli tribe began to believe in witchcraft. At that time, the people there were very worshipful of ghosts and gods, they all abandoned the normal things in the world, and no matter what happened to them, people had to rely on divination to make decisions.
At that time, when witchcraft was prevalent, everyone in every family had someone who was engaged in witch divination. At that time, people no longer worshiped the heavens sincerely, nor were they comfortable with agricultural production, but spent a lot of time engaged in witchcraft divination.
At that time, the Yellow Emperor had already seen the seriousness of the matter, and he handed over this task to his grandson Zhuan Xuan to deal with. In order to solve this problem as soon as possible, he decided to carry out the Reformation.
From then on, on every major festival, he personally led the people to worship the ancestors of heaven and earth with pure hearts and sincerity, and he set an example for all people in this regard. Later, he appointed "Nan Zhengzhong" to be responsible for worshiping the heavens in order to reconcile the gods. He appointed "Bei Zhengli" to be in charge of civil affairs in order to soothe the hearts of all the people.
In addition, he also advised the people to follow the laws of nature to engage in agricultural production, and encouraged people to continue to cultivate the land for production. And prohibit the activities of divination and communication between people and gods, so as to promote the restoration of normal order in society.
With his wisdom and strategy, he quickly established a high prestige among the people. Since then, people have been very supportive. Therefore, the territory during the reign of Zhuan Xuan was also much larger because of his efforts.
At that time, the area of Heilongjiang in the north, Lingnan in the south, and the East China Sea in the east were all within the scope of Zhuan's rule. Moreover, wherever he went out to inspect, he would also be warmly received by the people of all tribes.
One year, he heard that a yellow water monster had appeared in the southwest area of Neihuang. It is said that the monster would often spit yellow water to flood farmland and destroy houses, causing the general public to panic and not be able to live and work in peace. When he heard about it, he decided to submit it.
Although he is resourceful and courageous, the Yellow Water Monster is also very powerful and difficult to deal with. As soon as the two men met, they began to fight, and with his own wisdom, he blocked the Yellow Water Monster into a mountain depression, and he had people bring rocks from the surrounding mountains to block it.
However, the temper of the yellow water monster is not small, it is so angry that it even swallows the stones that block the water, and it also swallows a lot of the people on the mountain.
Then, he organized the people to beat the cowhide drum from all directions to scare the yellow water monster. At first, the monster was so frightened that it hid, but later, when it saw that the sound of the drum did not pose any threat to it, it came out again to harm people.
Seeing that his people were even more harmed by the Yellow Water Monster, he was really unwilling to defeat the Yellow Water Monster. However, after 9981 days of fierce fighting, they still had no victory. What can I do? Someone suggested that he should go to heaven and ask Nuwa Niangniang for help.
Nuwa Niangniang said to him: "Zhuan, I can't help you, I think you should go to Emperor Fuxi, he has a Heavenly King Sword you can borrow." ”
So, after thanking Nuwa Niangniang, she went to Emperor Fuxi to borrow the Heavenly King's Sword. Emperor Fuxi gave the sword to Zhuan and taught him how to use it.
When he retrieved the sword of the Heavenly King, he led the Yellow Monster to a deep lake, and while the Yellow Monster was playing at the bottom of the lake, he first cut off the head of the Yellow Monster, and then disintegrated its limbs, so that the Yellow Monster became several small lakes and fell asleep, and it could no longer spit water and harm people.
He defeated the Yellow Water Monster, and in order to benefit the world, he inserted the Heavenly King's Sword into a big sand hill at once. Then, the sand hill became a mountain, and Zhuan Xuan named it "Fuyu Mountain".
He lifted the sword and was just about to leave, but he saw that the water in a lake was flowing out, so he used the sword to draw a river next to Fuyu Mountain, and this stroke drew a river, and he named the river "Nitrate River".
Seeing that there were mountains and rivers here, and that there was a large plain in front of the mountain, he happily put away his sword and went to send it back to Emperor Fuxi. Since then, the forest here is lush and the grain is abundant, and the people have lived a good life.
In order to celebrate the success of subduing the Yellow Water Monster, Zhuan Xuan also specially composed a song of "Chengyun". This music is specially made to maintain the unity of heaven and earth and the pure national atmosphere. Its music is composed of eight tones, and its sound is bustling and mournful, and it is very nice to play.
As early as thousands of years ago, the water god Gonggong and the fire god Zhurong fought a big battle between heaven and earth, and later, the Gonggong was defeated and fled, and actually knocked down the Heavenly God Pillar Buzhou Mountain. In order to subdue them, the Emperor of Heaven personally went to the lower realm to kill the water god Gonggong and the fire god Zhurong.
Later, the Emperor Taihuang could not be killed, and the water god Gonggong fled along the river. And the water god Gonggong was later reincarnated as a descendant of Emperor Yan, and the fire god Zhu Rong was also reincarnated as Zhu Rong, a descendant of Emperor Yan. After Gonggong was reincarnated, he became the chief of the Gonggong tribe, and his tribe became known as the Gonggong clan.
In fact, the Gonggong clan and the Xuanyuan family were already full of contradictions, and the friction between them has never been broken. Since the emperor took the throne, the Gonggong clan was not satisfied, and he gathered some disgruntled princes to oppose the emperor.
The rebellious princes immediately elected the Gonggong clan as their leader, and they soon formed an army. When Emperor Zhuan heard of the rebellion of the princes, he hurriedly lit seventy-two beacon towers, and at the same time he summoned the princes of the four directions to quickly support the army of the alliance.
Then, he specially ordered the soldiers and horses to guard Gyeonggi, and he personally took command and went to meet the army of the Gonggong. With the two sides evenly matched, a fierce battle began in an instant. Strange to say, the two sides only killed a few back and forth, but the emperor's subordinates killed more and more.
Among them, there is a humanoid tiger tail "Taifeng", who drove ten thousand auspicious lights from "Heshan"; There is also a "Ji Meng" with a dragon head and a human body, and he also rushed here from "Guangshan" with a torrential wind and rain; There is also a "proud insect" with two honeycomb heads, and he led poisonous bees and poisonous scorpions to rush over from "Pingfeng Mountain".
At this time, the co-workers were killing fewer and less. Among them was a leader named "Cupbi", whose neck had been cut off to a layer of skin, and he was still wearing a cloak of hair, and he did not know where one of his severed arms had gone. There was also a leader named "Prince Night", whose hands, feet, head, chest, abdomen, and even teeth were all cut off, and his limbs were scattered to the ground.
Gonggong's generals were all lost, he had long lost the ability to fight back, and they fought until the end, and there were only seven cavalry left by Gonggong's side. At this time, they fled to the foot of a mountain, and when they looked up, they saw that the mountain was towering into the clouds, strange and abrupt, and standing up to the sky.
Seeing that the mountain was blocking the way, and that the co-workers had no way to escape, he could only let out an angry cry in despair. The soldiers of the co-workers also became desperate because of the despair of the alliance leader, so they marched together on horseback, and together they crashed desperately towards the mountain.
Seeing that the Gonggong and the soldiers were struggling to hit the mountain, he led his troops to rush to the front of the mountain to watch, and it turned out that the eight of them had all been killed. In the end, the actions of the Gonggong clan were also respected by the people. Zhen also admired Gonggong, so he called the mountain where Gonggong was martyred "Eight Collision Mountain".
In fact, the Gonggong clan, a descendant of Emperor Yan, did not hit Buzhou Mountain, but it was only later that people confused the voice, and such rumors spread more and more. After the death of the Gonggong clan, people worshipped him as a water master (a god specializing in water conservancy).
Goto, the son of Gonggong, is also worshipped as a shrine god (i.e., the god of the land). Later, whenever people swore an oath and said, "The earth is above the heavens", people referred to the earth, which shows people's respect for them.
There are twenty-four sons in his life, and their names are: Cheng, Bofu, Zhongli, Donkey, Shushi, Sanmian, Ji Yu, Dongyi, Abuse Ghost, Little Ghost, Poor Ghost, Han Qi, Poor Cicada, Miao Min, Cangshu, Decadence, Han Zheng, Dalin, Yu Zhu, Tingjian, Zhongrong, Shuda, Kun, etc.
Zhuan is a person with water virtue, people say that he is the emperor of water virtue, so people also call him Emperor Xuan, Zhuan Qiu (now Puyang, Henan) as the capital, with Jumang as Muzheng, Zhurong as Huozheng, Julong as Tuzheng. After he ascended the throne, he strictly followed the policies of Xuanyuan Yellow Emperor to make the society stable and peaceful.
He punished the Yellow Water Monster during his lifetime, and after his death, he also helped the people to retreat from the flood and save the victims. Therefore, after his death, he was still respected as "Gao Wangye", and everyone also built him "Gao Wang Temple".
One day, after his death, he appeared to be an old man with gray hair. On that day, he was sitting on the steps of the Temple of the High King with his eyes closed. Suddenly, there was a sudden rainstorm in the sky, and in an instant, the flood water rolled in from the mountain. Then, I saw that the fields and villages near the temple of King Gao were flooded.
However, when the flood water flowed in front of the white-haired old man, the white-haired old man pointed forward with his hand, but the rolling flood stopped abruptly and stopped flowing forward. At this time, the white-haired old man waved his hand again, and saw two non-human and non-beast monsters coming out of the water.
The white-haired old man waved his hand again, and the two monsters seemed to be pressed by someone, and they obediently sank into the water, never showing their heads again. Then the flood water slowly receded. Since then, there have been no more floods in the area of Gaowangmiao. And Emperor Zhuan has a higher position in the hearts of the local people.
Emperor Zhuan made outstanding achievements in his life, he had reformulated the calendar, he also first created Kyushu, so that the Chinese region after the real unification of the various nationalities has a clear establishment, he for the first time determined the names and sub-jurisdictions of Yan, Hebei, Qing, Xu, Henan, Jing, Yang, Yong, Liang and Kyushu.
It is said that as early as the time of Emperor Zhuan, the territory under the control of China was already very large. It extends to "Youling" (now Hebei and Liaoning) in the north, "Jiaozhi" (now Guangdong, Guangxi, Vietnam) in the south, "quicksand" (now Gansu) in the west, and "Jimu" (now the East China Sea) in the east.
He reigned for a total of 78 years, and he died at the age of 98, and he was buried in Guangyang Lizhong, outside the gate of Dunqiu, Puyang, Dongjun. After his death, his cousin, Xuan Huan's grandson, Emperor Yu, succeeded to the throne.
