Chapter 51: Cherish Spring and Miaoyu

In the afternoon, in front of the gate of Huicui'an Mountain, the silence was deep, and there were only two sisters-in-law in the front yard who were asleep on the porch. Pen, fun, pavilion www. biquge。 info

Even Jia Wei deliberately passed by them, but they didn't wake up.

After passing through the hall, Jia Wei walked towards the Buddhist hall in the backyard.

These days, I have been busy with mundane affairs, and I am very busy.

It wasn't until today that he finally unloaded the most critical matter to Jia Yun, and he was able to relax a little.

So, he came to the Huicui Nunnery, which he hadn't come for many days, to listen to the chanting and wash away some vulgar thoughts.

Outside the Buddha Hall, Jia Wei was slightly stunned, Miaoyu was not the only one in the Buddha Hall, but also the fourth sister Xichun.

The two of them were each sitting on a futon, debating Buddhist scriptures earnestly and softly.

Jia Wei was only stunned, and then he was relieved, his fourth sister, although she was young, she was very fond of Buddhist scriptures, and from time to time she would go up the mountain to discuss with Miaoyu.

When it comes to intimacy, she has the best relationship with Miaoyu, an outsider.

In the memory of fusion, Jia Wei had the scene of meeting her in Huicui'an, but since she was reborn, it was the first time she had seen her here.

He stepped over the high threshold and entered the temple.

Miaoyu Xichun and the two of them ignored him, just debating by themselves.

Jia Wei didn't think it was wrong, sat on a futon next to him, and listened quietly.

After Miaoyu's many edifications, Jia Wei also has a superficial understanding of several well-known Buddhist scriptures.

After listening to a few words, they realized that what they were debating was the meaning of the Heart Sutra.

There are several versions of this sutra, the most famous of which are two.

The first is the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra, translated by Master Xuanzang. There is also a version of the Mahaprajnaparamita Sutra translated by Kumarosh.

The two versions are similar in content, but the translation by Master Xuanzang is more in line with the reading habits here and more accurate.

Therefore, although the version translated by Kumarosh is two or three hundred years earlier, it is far inferior to Xuanzang's version in terms of circulation.

Prajna is wisdom, and Paramita is attainment or to the other side, which means that this is a treasure book that reaches the other shore through wisdom. Of course, this kind of wisdom is not the wisdom that the world refers to, but the great wisdom that can see through time and space and prove the realm of immortality.

If you add Maha to the beginning, it is through boundless wisdom to reach the treasure book of the other side.

The Heart Sutra has a high status in Buddhist scriptures and is widely known.

The well-known "color is emptiness, emptiness is color", is in this scripture.

The number of words in this sutra is very short, only two or three hundred words, but it is considered to encompass all the essence of the Prajna Sutra and cannot be recited without reciting it.

The focus of their debate is that "color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color." Color is emptiness, and emptiness is color. The same is true of what you want to do. This sentence.

In Buddhist texts, color refers to all matter, including human beings.

"Receiving, thinking, acting, and knowing" refers to spiritual things. Taken together, they are the "five aggregates."

Emptiness does not mean nothingness, but "self-emptiness".

Self-nature is self-determination, independent of external objects, and eternal and independent.

"Self-emptiness" means that there is no "self-nature".

Combined, this sentence means that all matter depends on various conditions to arise and perish, rather than exist out of thin air and eternity, and the same is true on the spiritual level.

Therefore, color and emptiness are united, and so are the other aggregates.

For example, this Buddha hall has to have wood, earth, and stone, and there must be people who build it, so that it is born because of fate.

One day, because of someone carelessly, there was a fire, burned to rubble, and then it was extinguished by fate.

It does not appear out of thin air, nor does it disappear out of thin air.

Just because this Buddha hall cannot determine the self, nor can it not rely on external objects, let alone exist forever.

"If the self-nature is empty, the Buddha will not exist, will the Buddha also be born and destroyed?" Isn't the Prajnaparamita Sutra that says that the Buddha is 'self-dwelling', contradicting what the Heart Sutra says? ”

"You are wrong, a Buddha has a non-dual nature, which exists independently of all things. As the Tao Te Ching says, 'There is a mixture of things, born of nature.' lonely, independent and unchanging'. Miaoyu argued.

"Why did you mention the Tao Te Ching? We're talking about Buddhist scriptures. Xichun corrected with some displeasure.

"Why can't the Tao Te Ching be used to explain Buddhist scriptures? As long as it makes sense, it can be used for reference. Miaoyu was unimpressed.

"After all, there is still a difference between the Taoist classics and the Buddhist classics......" Xichun puffed out his little face, wanting to continue to persuade Miaoyu, but glanced at the Taoist robe on Miaoyu's body, only spit out one sentence, and didn't say any more.

"Huh? You don't argue and admit defeat? ”

Miaoyu smiled and spoke briskly, like a very competitive little girl.

This made Jia Wei on the side unbearable.

Miaoyu is nineteen, and the spring is twelve, and the difference between the two is seven years old.

It's really outrageous for such a big person to bully a real little girl like Xichun.

"I didn't lose, but I don't argue. I don't want Buddhist scriptures to argue with Taoist scriptures. "Xichun is a little girl in the end, let her say, although she doesn't want to argue, she still has to emphasize that she didn't lose.

"Didn't you lose? Let me tell you, at that time, the two major sects of Tianzhu Mahayana, the empty sect and the existing sect, were constantly contradictory and did not recognize each other, and later Master Xuanzang wrote the "Theory of Hui Zong", explaining that the two religions were actually the same thing, and finally the two sects were able to mediate. It can be seen that the world is reasonable, and the different paths are the same, and being too obsessed with the words of one family is also a picture. ”

Miaoyu has no consciousness of being a big sister, and continues to ravage Xiao Xichun.

However, the last sentence of her words made Xichun have an epiphany, and she was curious, and said, "Is there a record of this? In which book, show me. ”

"Yes, the Tang Dynasty Western Regions. I forgot where I put it, and I can't find it for you for a while, so I'll go back next time. Miaoyu responded.

"Then I'll go first." Xichun straightened her skirt and got up from the futon, then looked at Jia Wei, "Second brother is good." ”

"Fourth sister is good. Gone so soon? Jia Wei also stood up, stretched out his hand, and stroked her hair.

"Yes. I have a picture of the goddess of Dunhuang that I haven't finished painting yet, I've been painting it for many days, and I want to finish it today. Xichun said with flashing eyes.

"Oh, then there you go. Stone moss slippery, be careful. Jia Wei knew that painting was also one of her preferences, and after explaining with concern, she let her leave.

He sat back down, his eyes on Miaoyu.

"Want to hear me chant again?" Miaoyu smiled lightly.

Jia Wei nodded, he originally came up to listen to the scriptures, what is there to be hypocritical?

"Some time ago, I borrowed your "Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra", have you read it, have you recited it?" Miaoyu didn't chant for him right away, but casually talked about another topic.

"I didn't read it, but I read it, and I copied it."

Jia Wei originally wanted to deceive her into reciting, but thinking about it, she couldn't blaspheme my Buddha, so she changed her mouth and said it honestly.
