濊貊 (hui 2 sound mo 4 sound) is an ancient regional tribe in the southern region of northeast China and the hometown of the four counties of the Han Dynasty, also known as raccoon dog, raccoon dog or Tibetan 貊. Ancient texts call it "Bo people" or "Fa people".

It is formed by the convergence of the Hui and the Hui people, and is characterized by an agricultural city, although it once absorbed some members of the nomadic people, but the main body still cannot be counted as a nomad.

The main body of the Hui people was in the northeast, and a small part of the Zhou Dynasty gradually moved to other eastern regions, and a small part of the Hao people moved to the Korean Peninsula, and later were assimilated by the Jurchens in the four counties of the Han Dynasty and became a part of the Jurchen nation.

Western Zhou Dynasty

As early as the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Hui people were vassal states of the Zhou Dynasty. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the Duke of Qi Huan once launched a war against the Emperor. During the Warring States Period, the Hui people were engaged in agriculture, fishing and hunting, and millet became the main food of the Hui people.

The Hui people of the Zhou Dynasty entered the late stage of primitive society and lived a settled life. Later, Fuyu and Goguryeo, who later established political power in the northeast region, were formed and developed on the basis of the integration of the ethnic groups in the northeast region such as the Hao.

After Cao Wei destroyed Gongsun Yuan, he found that Fuyu Library had jade, gui, and Zan for several generations, and the seal of King Fuyu said that "the seal of King Hao" was given by the Han Dynasty.
