Chapter 883: Ninety-two Grades
Being a monk is not for you to be lazy.
What is Deep Heart?
Well worth looking into.
Generally, the university scholars at home, like Ouyang Jingwu and Xiong Shili's apprentices, I have been friends with them, and there are several others, including Wang Enyang, Lu Qiuyi and others, although they are in the family, they will never marry, so their academic achievements are so solid.
Don't talk about the precepts of the ordination method, using the concept of Chinese Taoism, Huang Shigong's "Plain Book" says: "Absolute abstinence, so get rid of tiredness".
Why become a monk?
That is to say, we must abandon our desires, leave all the emotional troubles in the world, and abandon all the desires in the world, so that we can get rid of all the drags and can concentrate on working together.
When it comes to monks and monks, I like Master Taixu, which I have seen when I was young. When we studied Buddhism, we were much more naughty than you people, and you wanted them to leave a little farther.
Back then, when we met these true cultivators, they dared to kneel down and worship on the street, regardless of everything.
But at that time, although he was famous all over the world, we ignored him and thought that he was only talking about Buddhism and not practicing.
It wasn't until later that I told my teacher, "Sir! We misread him, Master Taixu has practice. ”
The teacher also pulled his beard, "Oh? Really? What do you see? ”
Here's the thing, at that time, Master Taixu took a carriage back to Kyoto, and the people who welcomed him in the capital were really crowded, and many of them were still very high-status people, who were his disciples.
He was also so majestic that even Lin Sen, the chairman of the Kyoto State Government, personally took the incense and led the civil and military officials to kneel at the dock to welcome the master off the boat. These great masters are respected and embraced, and they are really the dependents of each bodhisattva. Speaking of Master Taixu, as soon as he arrived in Nanjing by train, his old man got out of the train and was in a hurry to urinate, regardless of the soldiers and civilians in front of him, men and women, etc., he turned around and pulled his robe open to urinate, as if no one was there, and the people who followed him after urinating said to him, "Master, they are all here to welcome you." He said, "Oh! Good! Amitabha." I saw this and thought, alas! This monk is amazing! He didn't think about this so-called glory, he didn't care, he didn't care about so many men and women, his robe was pulled open and he peed. Some old ladies and women didn't dare to look at it, but he was naturally very good. Don't say that he has any big decisions, even if he is drowsy! There was no one in sight, and they were all empty. This is one, so I began to pay attention to it, and felt that the stereotypes against him over the past years were too deep.
Master Taixu does not use little monks on the left and right, nor does he show prestige, he has written so many books in his life, and all his spirit is on the Buddhist scriptures, which is really a deep heart. There were only two people next to him in the family, which was called a tea room at that time, and now it is called a waiter, and he gives people a salary. So many people came to take refuge in him, worship him, and all of them had to make offerings, and all the people who kept the precepts and didn't touch the money all their lives were brought into the teahouse, and Master Taixu would never go to the back to ask how much money the teahouse collected, and he didn't ask if he used it, this is what we have seen.
Tell you these stories, don't talk about how he practiced, even if he didn't practice, he was studying the scriptures day and night, specializing in the teachings of Buddhism, and it would be remarkable. Therefore, "the method of ordination begins from the deep heart"! Not only you, but many professors from home and abroad have come here, and I treat them as children, not only children of age, but also children of knowledge, why? Nowadays, people who read books and learn do not initiate deep hearts. To study Buddhism, it is necessary to have a deep heart, that is, to study the three precepts and wisdom in depth. For example, if you have all received the precepts, as long as I test your vows, I will never be able to answer them, and you can memorize all the 250 precepts and still don't understand the precepts, so why don't you study the Vinaya of the Tripitaka? The ancients said, "In order to have nothing to do, you will do more with your robe", why do you have more things? It is even more necessary to be diligent, concentrating day and night on seeking the Tao, and finding out this deep heart. If the monks are not aware of this concept, they are escaping from reality, and it is not the monastic law.
