Chapter 82: Enlightenment (Part II)

Ni Fu: "Yes, I also feel the same way, I used to be a confused person, in the past, my heart was like a floating cloud covering the sun and the moon, dark and dark without opinion, instructed by others; Today is like a fog, dispelling the floating clouds covering my heart, and suddenly opening up, like seeing the sun and the moon, quiet and bright. In the future, I must learn from my mistakes and get on the right path.

Liang Shirong raised his voice: "You see, this Zen is like a thin layer of window paper, once it is broken, it will be a new world for those who have strayed into the way." In life, good and evil, good and bad, high and low, that is, the difference between a thought. Isn't the path of meditation just like what is right now?! ”

Although Liang Shirong's words were short, they were as deafening as the thunder of Huang Zhongda Lu and the heavenly drum, which caused a strong resonance among the heartstrings of Wang Wenguang and Ni Fu. They were so stunned that their mouths opened wide and they couldn't close them for a long time. A spiritual light flashed in their minds, and they suddenly felt that their eyes lit up, and they suddenly felt that their whole hearts had become brighter.

Liang Shirong continued: "It is rare to realize the true meaning of practice, and if you combine meditation with the present moment, this can activate the wisdom of life. When you are confused, you are carried by the Buddhist scriptures, and you can turn the Buddhist scriptures after you realize it! ”

Wang Wenguang muttered to himself: "When I am lost, I am carried by the Buddhist scriptures, and after I realize the mind, I can turn the Buddhist scriptures." ”

Liang Shirong said loudly: "Why work hard to keep the precepts with a peaceful heart, and what is the use of practicing meditation when you are straight?!" One thought of practice, Dharma body and other Buddhas. If one thought is realized, all beings are Buddhas. ”

Wang Wenguang heard Liang Shirong's direct teaching, and said gratefully: "Amitabha, today I have to meet a master, so that Wang seems to see the spiritual light of meditation, illuminating the way lost; Let me brush away the clouds and fog barriers in front of me, and my confusion will be opened. ”

Liang Shirong said humbly: "Brother Wang, don't hold me up so high, you must know that it is uncomfortable to fall from a high place!" ”

Liang Shirong further explained: The essence of the Zen thought of the six ancestors Huineng is to enlighten wisdom and purify people's hearts. Open-mindedness in Zen is the path to inner and interpersonal harmony.

Zen is such a "great way", which teaches everyone: the world is me, I am the world, the world is beautiful and I am beautiful, the world is painful and painful, everyone should live quietly, live naturally, like a fish in the clear water, like a cloud in the blue sky, like a flower blooming in the spring of March, like snow falling in the cold winter, live in peace with the sky, with the earth, with people, with animals, and with still life, as harmonious as fish and water, clouds and sky. If everyone's heart is as transparent as a mirror, as peaceful as a lake, and as peaceful as a mountain, then the troubles and problems that plague almost every modern person will be unconsciously eliminated in the initial state of every budding root. However, in modern society, materialistic desires are rampant, competition is fierce, people's delusional attachment is more intense, and people's hearts can have two completely different realms and two worlds between their thoughts. Here's an example:

Three years ago, Ye Qiuming, a young man with outstanding talents and outstanding achievements, came to me to chat and confide in Cheng about his troubles. It turned out that because he was not good at building relationships and running for official positions, not only did he not have his share in being promoted in his original unit, but he was also exchanged to a remote mountain town. So he was depressed, angry, depressed and decadent. In order to dispel his worries and relieve his boredom, before he reported to his new unit, he went out alone to visit several famous mountains and rivers. But the chatter and laughter of the tourists did not arouse his interest, but made him even more lonely; The green mountains and green waters have no aura and vitality in his eyes. He was so desperate that he decided to go to a mountain that he occasionally heard about but was not very famous, not for the sake of viewing, but to choose a place unknown to his relatives and friends to end his life. When he arrived at the mountain, he was stunned: there are only a few simple ancient temples in the bare mountain, how can there be scenery! But when they saw that the tourists were weaving, they all worshiped religiously. He had never been to Buddhism, and he thought that the behavior of these people was incredible, so he asked them curiously why they had come to this mountain. Although the answers were different, they all expressed good and good wishes. He asked the master in the monastery, "What do the monks pursue?" Master said that monks don't ask for anything. He was shocked and puzzled: Everyone has hope, but I have no hope?? What should I do?

Later, the master in the temple gave him a copy of the "Sutra of the Altar of the Six Ancestors". So, he opened it and looked at it. To his surprise, he had an epiphany from the "Sutra of the Altar of the Six Ancestors" and resolutely devoted himself to a new job. He said that it was the profound Zen culture that made him understand the Zen mechanism of "seeing through, letting go, and being at ease", which helped him to overcome the desolation and turn into a new world full of vitality!

When Liang Shirong said this, he looked at Wang Wenguang, Ni Fu and Liang Yaofu who were sitting around him, and even the tigress and the two tiger cubs were listening obediently with their ears, Liang Shirong couldn't help but feel a lot of emotion.

"The famous sentence of the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu 'When I feel the tears, I hate the birds and I am frightened', which expresses the poet's pathos in the country's breakdown and separation. Because of the sadness of the time, the poet feels 'splashed tears' when he sees flowers because of his feelings, and he feels shocked when he hears birdsong. In terms of psychological germination mechanism, this is consistent with the desolation of the young man in the previous example. Liang Shirong said poetically.

Liang Shirong's analysis: All beings are obsessed with delusions, fascinated by various circumstances, and their hearts flow for chasing. Because of greed, ignorance, and ignorance, there are joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, and when the time is lost, people change the situation, and when the people are enlightened, the situation is born from the heart and the situation is born because of the situation, all of which show that the human heart is difficult to regulate. Zen culture is a good remedy for people's hearts. Some people are "sad and sad", because they are afraid of the shortness of life and worry about the loss in life; Zen culture can perceive the true meaning of impermanence of life and emptiness of all laws from a fallen leaf. The ancients lamented that "the sunset is infinitely good, but it is just near dusk", which is really out of the helplessness of life and insufficient pursuit; The modern Marshal Ye Jianying's poem "The old man likes to make an ode to the dusk, and the eyes are full of green mountains and sunset lighting" reflects the heroic feelings of a wise man with a full life and an open-minded mind. Therefore, when you are lost, you will change people, and when you are enlightened, people will change your country. Therefore, people who are frustrated or confused should take more time to study the "Sutra of the Altar of the Six Patriarchs", and understand and understand the true meaning of life from the broad and profound Zen culture, so as to grasp themselves.

When Liang Shirong talked about this, thinking of what happened to him, he couldn't help but look up to the sky and sigh, thinking about the world and the world, and crying alone.

Wang Wenguang saw Liang Shirong sighing at the sky, and couldn't help asking, "Brother Liang, what's wrong with you?" ”

Liang Shirong asked, and said embarrassedly: "Just now I talked about the "Six Ancestors Altar Sutra", touching on the past and old things, I can't be myself, so I make you laugh." ”

"What is the big old thing that makes the eldest brother so moved?" Under their repeated questioning, Liang Shirong opened his heart to them, telling how his son was sent back to the countryside from Guangzhou to work as a farmer after graduating from high school, how he founded a chicken farm in his hometown, to the development of a chicken group company, to how to establish branches in BJ and other places, and then how he mistakenly believed in the "international financial broker" introduced by his fellow countryman Li Fanguang, and was deceived of most of the company's net worth (assets), until he encountered the Asian financial turmoil, which led to the collapse of the debt-ridden company, and went out to hide debts. ”

After listening to this, Wang Wenguang said in a pious and admiring tone: "Humanitarian, your Lingnan region is a wild and desperate region, but in the Tang Dynasty, there was a sixth ancestor Huineng who shocked Buddhism, and today there is another genius of the world!" ”

Liang Shirong clasped his hands together: "Good! Brother Wen Guang has a good reputation, and he doesn't dare to be a genius in the world, Liang is an ordinary man, how can he be compared with Master Huineng of the Sixth Ancestor, I just learned a little bit of skin. ”

Liang Shirong showed his practice method: "Actually, asking the Buddha to practice meditation is not easy to say, and it is not difficult to say. All sentient beings can become Buddhas. Meditation does not have to be practiced in the Buddha hall to recite sutras, the ferocious nature of the tiger is well known, but as long as you domesticate it with kindness, it can also become obedient and proper. People are more rational than tigers, as long as they are sincere. You must know that if you are forever free from the evil way, you will be born into the good way. ”

Wang Wenguang pondered: "If you leave the evil path forever, you will be born in the good way?" ”

Liang Shirong raised his voice again: "Well, as long as you put down the butcher knife, you can also become a Buddha on the spot." ”

"Put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha on the ground." Liang Shirong's words seemed to ring an alarm bell in their ears, shaking the heartstrings of Wang Wenguang and Ni Fu heavily, causing a burst of echoes. After today's thrilling moment of life and death, and hearing Liang Shirong's concise words, they also had an epiphany in their hearts, and suddenly opened up, and said again and again: "What the eldest brother said is very true, we will change our hearts and minds in the future, and change the evil from the good." ”

The homing birds in the sky chirped and flew over and into the woods over there.

The setting sun sprinkled the golden afterglow on the flowers and trees on the Shuangshi Mountain.

Smoke began to billows from the farmhouse below the hill.

Liang Shirong pointed to the red sun that was slanting to the west, and said: "You go back to cross the big ridge of Fengmen Pass, and now that the sun is setting, you should return to Longshan as soon as possible, so as not to be too dark to hurry." ”

Liang Yaofu: "After you leave Shuangshi Mountain and go back today, don't do evil in the future." ”

"Yes, yes." Wang Wenguang and Ni Fu were about to leave, but suddenly thought of something, turned around, and made bitter faces: "Big brother, this time we will go back, even if we hide what happened in Shuangshi Mountain today and don't leak out what I saw you, but the trouble still hasn't been eradicated?" ”
