Chapter 956 - Phases (7)

The Great Bodhisattva Demon Buddha is not distinguished, he is not afraid of demons, because he has been liberated by wisdom, "with goodness and wisdom, he can appear at will", he can become a Buddha or a demon at will.

Actually, we can do it, for example, we have all been children of other people, and there are many parents here. Who is a parent who does not love his children? When you love, you are a Buddha.

Sometimes, if you urge your children to move upward, you will become a demon of your children. In the same way, bodhisattvas sometimes become demons of all beings. The devil's way is a rebellious teaching, and education does not have to be taught with goodness.

When it comes to demons, there are four great demons in sentient beings: the living demons, the old demons, the sick demons, and the dead demons, especially the old and sick and the dead. Many old friends brag, saying that they can see openly, don't believe anything, and are not afraid of anything, but when they talk about their bodies, they will still be sad when their blood pressure is high and they have presbyopia, this is the devil. Studying Buddhism and cultivating is for the suffering of birth, old age, sickness and death, who has been there since ancient and modern times?

If it had been possible to die of old age, sickness and death, human beings would have occupied the earth long ago. Only the great arhats who have attained enlightenment can achieve the demons of life and death, and only with life and death, there is no talk of any old diseases.

All the efforts of ordinary people in life are to be afraid of this demon realm, to escape it, to prevent it, but no one has done it. I often tell my doctor friends that no medicine can cure people, whether you are Chinese medicine or Western medicine. "Zengguang Xianwen of the Past" said: "Medicine can cure fake diseases, and wine cannot solve real sorrows." In fact, there is only one disease that is real, and that is death. When you are about to die, no matter what medicine you do, you can't cure it.

Where do the great arhats, who have died of old age, sickness, live? Living in the Land of Everlasting Light does not necessarily mean living in the Western Elysium.

Where is the Bodhisattva? Not necessarily in the temple of the main hall, but don't listen to the fact that there is no Bodhisattva in the temple, all of you are Bodhisattvas, and everyone dies of old age. Some bodhisattvas deliberately show that old age is terrible, and some of our old friends are over 90 years old, and they used to have a high status, but now they are old and sick and have no support, which is really painful.

Recently, an old-timer Taoist friend passed away, which gave other Taoist friends a lot of stimulation, and I thought, alas, someone is gone, let's hurry up and work hard! This is to show old age, sickness and death, and to achieve sentient beings.

However, although the Bodhisattva shows old age, sickness and death, he still "understands that knowledge is like illusion, and there is no obstacle to access", and he knows very well that birth, old age, sickness and death are all like dreams and unreal. The so-called life and death in the world, everything is like a dream and empty flowers, he has already lived and died, everything is accessible, there are no obstacles, but it is a method of education to express life and death in phenomena.

"Or now the catastrophe is burned, the heavens and the earth are clear, and everyone has a constant thought, and knows impermanence according to the order." The realm of the Bodhisattva Dao mentioned above is still based on human multiplication. Now we begin to explain that the mind and the object are one, and that the spiritual world and the physical world are one. Learning from the Buddha to see the nature of the mind and realize one's own nature is the achievement of the Dharmakaya. Our present flesh is in the form of a reincarnation. The material world of mountains, rivers and the earth is not opposed to us, but is dependent on the retribution. Those who become Buddhas will definitely be accomplished in all three bodies. This is the great principle of the three bodies of Dharma, retribution, and incarnation, and it is the basic concept of Buddhism. At the same time, I will tell you that there is a desire to build a jungle temple, and there are three statues of the same Buddha offered above the main hall of the jungle temple, why? That is the three bodies that represent the retribution of the law.

For example, the gate of the temple is called the mountain gate, and there are also three gates written as three, with different meanings, representing the precept and wisdom.

In order to attain the three bodies, we must first start from the precepts and wisdom. I think of the big jungle I have seen in the past, some of them are really big, the whole mountain is over, and I am responsible for closing the door every day, and I have to ride a horse all the way to close the mountain gate of each hall, and I will ride out at five o'clock in the afternoon to close the mountain gate, and it will be dark when I come back.

It makes sense what Buddha statues are offered on the big jungle hall and what position they are offered. Like Hangzhou Lingyin Temple, there are three Buddhas in the main hall, turn to the back of the three Buddhas, that is, Guanyin Bodhisattva, only become a Buddha, can you really have great compassion and save all beings in the sea of suffering. With the arrangement of buildings and Buddha statues, the teachings of Buddhism are explained, not only the art of architecture.
