Chapter 959 - Phases (10)

"There are swords and soldiers in the calamity, and compassion arises for them, and all sentient beings are transformed into unruly land", and when there is a catastrophe of war, the Bodhisattva will have compassion and incarnate to eliminate the war. People often ask me, now that the world is so chaotic, why don't the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and God come?

I said, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and God are locked up, by whom?

The general trend is to the Bodhisattva. This is a matter of karma, and when the Buddha reaches a certain point, he will not be able to save this world, because all beings in this world must suffer the consequences of calamity. The Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and God are also helpless, so it is good to turn this calamity around.

However, don't talk about world history, there have been several catastrophes in Chinese history, there have been several high-ranking monks and monks, when the soldiers and horses clashed, he flew over the heads of both sides, and the people below knelt down when they saw it, and they were influenced to withdraw from the army automatically.

"If there is a great battle array, set up an equal force, the Bodhisattva will show his might, subdue and make peace", when there is a big war, the Bodhisattva will appear an incomparably huge Vajra body, standing in the middle of the two opposing sides, can subdue both sides, and bring peace. Do you think there really is such a realm? It's hard to say.

"In all the lands, there are hells, and they go to other places to relieve their troubles", the text is easy to understand, so there is no need to translate. This is equivalent to the wish power of the "Fugen Prayer", which is the wish power that everyone should have when learning the Mahayana Bodhisattva path, not only limited to the Jizo King Bodhisattva.

All those who study Mahayana should make a vow to go to the most suffering places to save sentient beings. I think this has become a mantra for people who study Buddhism, but the actual behavior is to escape from suffering, to go to a quiet place, to live in a place where no one disturbs. Completely contrary to the principles of Mahayana.

In addition, I think that people who study Buddhism have also turned the word vow into a mantra, as if they have said what they want to make and then they have given an explanation. Such wishes are in vain. After reading this verse of the Vimala Sutra, I will be ashamed.

Besides, the hell described in the classics is not too terrible, in fact, there is hell everywhere in the world, and it is even more terrible than the hell in the classics! You see, all the suffering in the world is a retribution. Those who study the Mahayana Bodhisattva path should do it if they can have the strength to help others for sentient beings in suffering. Our friends who are learning the Tao will run away when they encounter someone who needs help, and they will even say very cruelly, "It's fake, don't pay attention." This kind of psychology and behavior may be worse than that of people who do not learn the Tao, and we should really reflect on it deeply.

"In all lands, animals eat each other, and they are born in them for their benefit", Shakyamuni Buddha said that he used his body to feed the tiger (there are also scriptures translated into this life), when he practiced many eons ago, he saw that the tiger was hungry, so he gave up his life to feed the tiger.

Outside of the classics, there are people who really do this kind of thing. I know a person in Emei Mountain, he used to be an official, suddenly became a monk, after the monk did not take ordination, did not go to the big temple on the mountain, he found a very small temple in the monk to be a master, meditate every day and chant Buddha. The environment in that temple was very poor, and at night there were so many mosquitoes, but he only wore a pair of shorts to meditate and give alms to the mosquitoes.

I felt disgusted at first, he was in a good position back then, why is his thinking still so outdated? What do you do with mosquitoes? Isn't it cultivating pests? When I went to see him, I really couldn't recognize anyone, and his face was red dots.

I amused him and said, "Brother, feed the mosquitoes, happy?"

He smiled and recited Amitabha, but did not answer.

Many of us were present to ask him and persuade him, and he always said Amitabha.

In the end, I said, forget it, everyone has their own aspirations, but I don't know whether the mosquitoes think the meat of our friend is sweet or sour.

He is still Amitabha.

When we resigned from the small temple, we sighed very much in our hearts, after all, he is not an ordinary superstitious person, his status is okay, and he is not a blind monk.

Three months later, the news came that he was sick. It turned out that he was bitten by mosquitoes and became ill, and the situation was very serious, but he refused to leave, and was forced to go to see Lang Zhong by several relatives and friends. He also said that he missed mosquitoes very much, he was not in the temple, and he didn't know if the mosquitoes would starve to death.

It's not a joke, it's a real person I've seen in person, and I think of him when I talk about this guy. As for whether his behavior is right or not, I don't want to criticize him, but his willingness is genuine, and it is worth worshipping him. And as far as I know, when he was bitten by a mosquito, he would say to the mosquito, "Amitabha, you have eaten my blood, hurry up and be reborn, and don't become a mosquito in the future."

I really don't know how great the good karma and the merit of this knot are. If it weren't for the verse of the Vimala Sutra today, I would have forgotten this old thing. I'm not saying this to encourage you to feed the mosquitoes, but I have to make it clear.
