Chapter XXXI: Length, Width, and Thickness
Karl Phantom shifted to Skynet's fallen body and looked down at his feet.
Skynet's body is decaying and collapsing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Yellow rust spots gradually appeared on the surface of the nano-material body, and the rust spots gradually expanded, and soon joined together, turning the entire body into embroidery stains.
Karl didn't expect this to happen, he originally wanted to use the black abyss to drain the magic stolen by Skynet, make it return to a pure mechanical structure, and then gather the power of the Aurors present to defeat it.
However, I don't know what happened, Skynet actually collapsed on its own.
All around, crackling explosions rang in his ears, and the Aurors who had fought Skynet before apparitioned around Karl and Skynet's bodies.
At the same time, more wizards escaped from inside the Magical Capitol building.
Many people didn't understand what was going on, and they stood at the door of the building curiously and looked around.
As time passed, more and more wizards poured out of the building,
Due to the large number of people, the sidewalk in front of the building was simply not enough to stand, and the crowd gradually spread to the road and the square opposite, blocking the wide road in front of the building.
Fortunately, at this time, the entire street was no longer passing, and even ordinary pedestrians had already run away.
Right now, the entire street is occupied by wizards pouring out of the building.
Karl looked around, except for the three who were injured at the beginning, the remaining twelve Aurors who had fought Skynet before faintly surrounded him in the middle.
The Aurors exchanged glances with each other, half of their wands peeking out from under their long wizard's robes, looking warily at him standing in the middle.
Surrounded by a dozen Aurors, Karl pondered whether to run away first.
He's not Skynet, and he doesn't even have a few killing curses.
He knew a little bit about the American Aurors' style of acting, perhaps influenced by the Grindelwald incident back then, this group of enforcers in the wizarding world was like the Muggle police in this country, they were the kind of existence that shot first and then warned.
He just had a fight with Skynet, and he didn't want to get involved in this pointless battle again.
Fortunately, Karl had saved the lives of the dozen or so Aurors, and at the same time, the Aurors were also afraid of Karl's unbelievably powerful mana, who had turned the mysterious man who was almost on the verge of death into a pile of rusty scrap metal with just one look.
Coupled with the bonus of some appearance, the Aurors did not make an immediate move, and the situation seemed to be deadlocked.
At this moment, there was a sudden exclamation in the distance.
"Carl?what?!"
Cornelius Fudge's voice reached the ears of all the wizards present.
At the entrance to the Magic Capitol building, Fudge stood at the top of the stone steps, looking at Carl in surprise.
Then, he saw the wreckage of Skynet at Karl's feet and the Aurors surrounding him in the center, and immediately gasped.
From a distance, Skynet's wreckage was nothing more than a corpse that had fallen to the ground.
"Carl, you, you?!"
Fudge was so shocked that he couldn't speak, he had high hopes for Carl, but now, in front of everyone's eyes, the bloody facts were in front of him, and he couldn't cover it up for him.
"Connelly, I think Carl will give us a reasonable explanation, won't he?"
He wore a long white beard that hung down to his waist and wore a purple robe, with a pair of azure blue eyes behind half-moon-shaped glasses.
Albus Dumbledore.
"Yes!
Hearing Dumbledore's words, Fudge seemed to grasp a life-saving straw, nodded hurriedly, looked at Karl, and said eagerly,
"Carl, you must not have done this, did you?"
At this time, beside Fudge, a middle-aged man about the same age as him couldn't help frowning after hearing Fudge's words.
He came out of the Capitol with Fudge and Dumbledore, and there were several wizards and wizards of the same age, who should be the heads of wizarding circles in various countries.
The middle-aged man was wearing a pure black robe, short brown hair, and a scar on his face, from top left to bottom right, diagonally across his entire cheek, making him look murderous, with deep eye sockets, and a pair of gray-blue eyes as sharp as eagles, which was not an easy person to deal with at first glance.
"Mr. Minister, we'd better hear what the young man himself has to say. The middle-aged man looked at Carl with a scrutinizing gaze, and his gaze lingered on Carl's gray hair for a moment.
When the middle-aged man looked at Carl, Carl had already noticed him.
As soon as the middle-aged man and Fudge and the others came out of the building, one of the twelve Aurors who surrounded Karl apparitioned to him and whispered something in his ear.
Obviously, the identity of the middle-aged man has been very clear, and this time the heads of wizarding governments of so many countries are gathered here, all because of him.
The current president of the Magical Congress of the United States.
Carl glanced at the middle-aged man for a few times and then withdrew his gaze, his mind had already figured out how to explain, there was nothing to hide, he was ready to tell the truth.
"Minister, Mr. President, Professor, I-"
The words had barely begun when the rest of Carl's words were stuck in his throat.
The pain in the heart, Karl's two eyes seemed to have been suddenly inserted into two needles, even ten thousand times more painful than that, as if it was directly on the soul.
The pain was so intense that Carl's brain instantly severed the connection to the main consciousness in order to protect himself.
With a pop, Carl fell to the ground, completely unconscious.
......
When Carl opened his eyes again, there was nothing but darkness in front of him.
He wasn't alarmed, though, and he could feel something wrapped around his eyes blocking his view.
It should be gauze or something.
Struggling to sit up, Louise's voice of surprise rang to his ears.
"Honey, you're awake!"
Then there was Nick's, "How's it going, son?"
"How's that, son. ”
Finally, Carl heard Dumbledore's voice apologetic.
"I'm sorry, Carl, I can't destroy it, I can only try to seal it in one eye......"
Hearing this, Karl's heart couldn't help but chuckle.
He can't be really blind.
Thinking of this, he reached out and grabbed it in front of him, but Louise gently grasped his hand.
"Don't move, my dear, I'll help you. ”
After speaking, he gently picked off the things that were wrapped around Carl's eyes.
"Honey, you can open your eyes. ”
Carl opened his eyes a little apprehensively, and the bright light from the outside world instantly made him feel a little dazzling.
Blinked, and after a while, Carl barely got used to it.
His eyes looked around.
The afternoon sun shines through the floor-to-ceiling windows on the wooden floor.
The room was spacious, but nothing else was in place, except for the bed beneath him and a full set of medical equipment next to it.
There were three men standing next to the bed, Nick and Louise, and Dumbledore.
Reaching out and spreading his fingers, Karl looked down at his hands, no different from before.
I looked at the three people next to the bed again, and there was no change.
"How's it going, darling?" asked Louise, a little worried.
Carl shook his head, he didn't notice much change.
The eye no longer hurts, as if the previous sharp pain is not there at all.
"Professor?" Karl looked at Dumbledore quizzically.
What the old man said just now made him a little concerned.
"Karl, a broken soul from somewhere has crept into your eye, and I sealed it in one of your eyes to prevent it from spreading to your soul. ”
Hearing this, Carl immediately remembered what had flowed into his eyes with the magic before, and he didn't care about it at the time, but now he thinks about it.
Now, he could understand why Skynet had become like that after he devoured his magic.
The black abyss even sucked the soul.
But...... Carl was stunned for a moment, Skynet actually had a soul.
"In which eye did you seal it in, Professor?" suddenly remembered something, and Karl looked at Dumbledore.
"Your left eye. Dumbledore sighed.
Seeing this, Carl's heart was even more affirmed.
"Are there mirrors?" he asked.
As soon as he said that, he knew that he was stupid, that he was a wizard.
Although the wand was not at his hand, he could still use magic, so he snapped his fingers.
A floating mirror appeared in front of him out of thin air.
The Flying Charm does not create objects out of thin air, and his mirror was recruited from a suite at the Plaza Hotel.
Then, he saw a change in himself.
The original two black eyes became one black and one white, the black one was the same as before, and the white pupil was almost completely integrated with the surrounding whites of the eyes, and it looked very scary, no wonder whether Nick and Louise, or Dumbledore would have such an expression.
But for him, it wasn't much to worry about.
It would be nice to cover it up a little bit with magic in the future.
The important thing is that his vision has not changed in any way.
I don't even know if it's an illusion, his original eyesight was very good, but now he can see more clearly than before.
Wait a minute!!
Carl suddenly notices that something is wrong.
Just as he was looking in the mirror, a line of text flashed in front of his eyes, and he didn't even notice it because it blended so well with the other objects in his field of vision.
And when he began to concentrate, he suddenly noticed that a large amount of text appeared on the surface of all the objects he saw, densely packed, like a layer of flies attached to the objects, so large that it made people's scalp tingle.
Carl tried to focus his attention on a set of words, which happened to be the mirror floating in front of him.
Then he saw this string of numbers:
15 14 0.4
It only took a second for Carl to understand the meaning of the string of numbers.
It was clearly the length, width, and thickness of the small mirror in front of him that he had magically summoned.
(Guess what is the length, width, and thickness of Carl...... )
