Chapter 1039: The Incense Bodhisattva Asks the Dharma (5)
So you'll understand. The viewer of the garden sees it as a hotel, and life is just a travel. To have this concept can also be regarded as the bodhisattva realm.
Once you understand the Dharma, if you read any article, any novel, it's the Dharma. This literary sentence is philosophy, it is the Dharma, because a few sentences talk about suffering, emptiness, impermanence, and selflessness, and they are all finished.
Young people who start with the vernacular are really not qualified to study Buddhism, because you have the wrong tools.
You can open the foreign lock with that key, but it is wrong to use it to open the lock in the ancient Central Plains, and it can't be opened.
Starting with learning classical Chinese, he can read ancient Chinese and vernacular Chinese, it is a universal key, and any lock can be opened.
"See those who come to seeker, think for the good teacher".
When you see someone asking for you, whether it's asking you to borrow money or something else, take him as good knowledge. Even if someone is dissatisfied with you and gives you an ugly look, he must be regarded as good knowledge.
Good knowledge is the Central Plains culture of good teachers and helpful friends, Confucianism talks about "seeing the past and knowing people", don't get angry when you see people have wrong behaviors, you should treat others as teachers, take them as warnings, don't make the same mistakes, this is equivalent to an opportunity education.
"Give up all that you have, and have all your wisdom."
Try to give all you to yourself, and your wisdom will come out.
Intelligence and wisdom are different, and many people with high academic qualifications and good learning have intelligence but no wisdom.
Wisdom is born in emptiness, and you have to throw away all the wisdom, troubles, delusions, and distractions of the world, and then that wisdom comes out.
If you have knowledge, you will have thoughts, and if you have thoughts, you will have thoughts in your heart, and when you still have this thought, wisdom will not come out.
When we learn from Buddhism, the behavior is the same as this wisdom principle. You can "give up everything" and empty everything before you can attain great wisdom. Great wisdom is a thousand understandings, a thousand understandings, a hundred understandings, not something that can be done with knowledge, learning is just accumulative.
In addition to the external material giving, the bodhisattva should also give inwardly, and empty all the delusional thoughts inside, which is inner giving.
"When you see the person who destroys the ring, you should think of rescue."
When you see someone else's behavior is wrong, or someone else has broken the vows, don't look down on him.
When a student of Buddhism sees a person who has broken the vows, he should deserve mercy and care as he sees an injured person, and if he looks down on him, is he not guilty of the vow of belittling others?
"All paramitas, think for your parents".
Paramita is Sanskrit, which means to climb to the other side, to jump out of the sea of suffering, and to reach the pure realm.
There are many kinds of paramitas, and generally speaking, there are six paramitas: generosity, vows, patience, diligence, meditation, and prajna; The true Dharma is the ten paramitas, and there are ten (in addition to the six above: convenience, willingness, force, and wisdom). Paramita enables us to attain the state of sublimation and transcendence, and it is so important that we have to respect all paramitas as parents.
Now this sutra is our paramita, it is the literal prajna, so we should love and respect this sutra as our parents.
"The law of Taoism is to think for the dependents."
We know that there are 37 qualities, and there are even more in the broad sense, such as chanting the Buddha, meditating, and all the methods of practice.
They are not the Tao in themselves, the Tao is unattainable, and if you really have the Tao, you don't need all the Dharma.
Therefore, it is said that "all the Dharma, away from all appearances", all the Dharma is abandoned, and it is impossible to obtain it, and when it is empty, it is the Tao. But we should not look down on the Dharma, whether you are studying meditation, Tantra, or Zen, you must respect all kinds of Taoism and treat them as your own brothers and sisters.
Then the following is the bodhisattva behavior, which is to do the business of entering the world with the spirit of birth.
