Chapter 831 Thirty-Nine Pins
If Maitreya and you attain nirvana in the future, all sentient beings will be able to attain nirvana just like you.
Attention! Where is the true Dharma? Nirvana is the fruit of this path, and you are now in Nirvana without knowing it! One thought is not born and all thoughts are fully embodied, and all thoughts are born, and the existing bare state is this realm.
From birth to the present, all sentient beings are originally immortal and immortal, and in the midst of annihilation, where do they still require a nirvana? The ultimate fruition of studying Buddhism and seeking the Tao is to attain nirvana.
Nirvana is difficult to translate correctly, so if you don't translate it, the ordinary interpretation of it as a circle of death, extinction, or extinction is not all correct, and it is only one-sided. For example, in the world of Elysium, Bliss, light, and purity are also the realm of Nirvana.
Nirvana is inherently pure, inherently perfect and immortal, and there are so many meanings in it.
If we translate it into the Chinese words for round death, extinction, or silence, as a result, we will regard the death of people as nirvana.
Death is life and death, not nirvana. Man is dead, but his nature is not dead! The Heart Sutra says, "Unborn and imperishable, impure and impure, not increasing or decreasing", which is nirvana.
Vimal scolded Maitreya, what kind of law are you giving to the celestial beings here! The real Dharma cannot be said or spoken, everyone is a Buddha, you don't deceive the celestial beings here, you persuade them to develop the Mahayana anuttara samadhichitta and the three bodhichitta, but there is really no mind to develop, all sentient beings have this mind is the Mahayana mind, and the body of the mind is inherently immortal, how can there be a person who retreats from the path mind? But I would like to add that he is talking about the body of the mind, and as for those of us sentient beings who have not attained the body of the mind, we should not blow it.
Motivation is a noun in Buddhism, enlightenment is really called enlightenment, it is the invention of the heart, not to ask you to pay two money, that is the heart of money.
To truly develop the three bodhichitta, to have one's own mind, to have a clear mind, to have a great understanding.
At this point, I would like to divert into a topic in particular, people usually study or listen to courses in meditation, such as meditation and enlightenment, these exercises of cultivation and enlightenment are so difficult, why is it so easy to say the Vimala Sutra, and everyone thinks that they can understand it at a glance?
First of all, we must pay attention to this problem, otherwise we will make a mistake.
What the Vimala Sutra talks about is the first meaning, and in modern terms, it is the highest point of the metaphysical path, which is equivalent to the enlightenment of Zen Buddhism.
In this sutra, the ten disciples of the Buddha have all attained the status of arhats, and they have all been reprimanded and scolded by Vimal monks, where is the truth? It's a matter of insight.
When we study Buddhism, we have the problem of confusion and confusion, which is the knot of thought, the obstacle that confuses us, greed, anger, ignorance, slowness, and doubt. This kind of mental and physical obstacle is broken by doing kung fu practice and gradually cultivating.
Seeing confusion has a body view, a side view, a view of the side, a view of the forbidden, and an evil view, that is, the opinion and reason are not thorough, and it is not something that can be determined by cultivation, but it must be determined by wisdom.
It's not that you have cultivated kung fu well, how much the Buddha recited, and meditated for 10,000 eons, as long as you have wisdom and insight, it is useless, so how to get rid of the confusion of seeing and thinking must be clear.
Some people have cultivated their kung fu very well, and they have studied Buddhism very sincerely, and they are all right, but they cannot be regarded as enlightened, because if they have not broken their confusion and have not achieved wisdom, they will not be able to attain Bodhi.
Confusion is judged by cultivation, although there is merit, good deeds, and meditation.
Even if you have cultivated to the Four Meditations and Eight Determinations, the realm is of course not simple, but it does not transcend the Three Realms; To go one step further, cultivating to the point where the present Hinayana arhats have attained complete annihilation, they are almost beyond the Three Realms, but they are not yet in the end, and in the end, they have to turn around and re-learn from the Mahayana.
Therefore, most of the Mahayana scriptures, such as the Diamond Sutra, the Lengyan Sutra, the Lotus Sutra, the Vimala Sutra, the Huayan Sutra, and so on, are biased towards the aspect of insight.
