Six years ago, at this time, there was a foreign way, not only disrespectful to the Buddha, but also often oppressed the people, he was thirsty, in this pool to take water quote, but unfortunately, because of a lack of attention, fell into this pool, was taken away by the dragon king, when the people heard that it had died, all rejoiced, and all felt, this is the Buddha's manifestation. ”

"Pain is natural, but this is the greatness of the Buddha, no matter at any time, he always thinks of others, followed by himself, and of course it is precisely because of his actions that he also influenced these hunters, and since then, these hunters have taken refuge in the Dharma and the Buddha with the people around them," Venerable Xingming explained to them.

"But Master, this doesn't have much to do with the origin of our Luye Temple," Zhou Zeng still asked him suspiciously.

"Indeed, it has nothing to do with it directly, but indirectly it is implicated, it is precisely because the Buddha practiced bodhisattva practice here at that time, so he transformed into different animals, such as mud monkeys, birds, deer, etc., and our Shikanoji Temple, it is precisely because of the story that he generated when he transformed into a deer, envoys, please come with me" This Xingming Venerable said, while leading them to a stupa in the big forest not far from this pagoda.

Because the deer here are very magnificent, the king at that time often came here to hunt and play, and then broke the original tranquility of this forest. In order to seek stability, the Bodhisattva Deer King, who had been transformed by the Buddha at that time, discussed with Devadatta's Transfiguration Deva Deer King, and decided to ask the king at that time in this way: "The king and all his ministers, if you race and hunt in the wilderness, and set fire to it at will, and arrows rain down, all of us animals will die in an instant, and within a few days they will rot and stink, and they will not be able to be used for a long time." I hope that we will be able to pay you a deer every day according to the order of rank, so that the king will have fresh venison to use, and we will be able to prolong our life a little, and the king at that time felt that what he said was also very reasonable, so he agreed to their request, and then turned the horse's head and led the servants back. In this way, the two herds of deer took turns to deliver live deer to the king every day. ”
