At first, when the king heard the news, he thought it was a rumor, because he did not believe that the king of the deer would come to receive the death on behalf of his subordinates. It wasn't until the soldier at the gate told him everything that he dared to believe it. Therefore, he hurriedly sent the Bodhisattva Deer King in and asked, "Why are you in such a hurry to send you to death, King Deer?" ”

At this time, the Bodhisattva Deer King replied dignifiedly: "There is a doe that she should have come to sacrifice to the king, but because she was pregnant with a fetus in her womb, my heart really couldn't bear to let her die, so I took the liberty to come and die in her place." ”

Hearing his words, the king could not help feeling pity in his heart, and sighed: "Alas, I am a deer with a human body, and you are indeed a deer with the body of a deer." This king is no match for you."

So the king ordered all the deer that were still in captivity to be released, and ordered them not to send them every day, and to give back the forest as a place for deer to live. Later, in order to thank the king for his kindness, he immediately called this forest "Shilu Forest". Since then, it has not only become a sea of deer, but also restored calm, so the name of deer field has become more and more common......

And this is the basic reason why our Kanoji Temple got its name......
