Chapter 1009: A Visit from Nine Million Bodhisattvas (Part II)
These people relied on the power and supernatural powers of the Buddha and Vimala, and they came to Vimala's room in an instant.
We must remember that the abbot's room of Vimal was already full of people, 32,000 bodhisattvas in the human world, and many more celestial beings, and now we have added these 9 million great bodhisattvas from the world above.
Vimala is transformed into the seat of nine million masters, as strict as before, and all the bodhisattvas sit on it.
At that time, with the power of supernatural powers, Vimo lay people immediately conjured up 9 million seats of teachers and children (this is not a Leo, but the seat of teachers and teachers). These additional seats were as solemn as the seats that had been conjured up before, and the nine million bodhisattvas from the world above sat on them.
The Bodhisattva is full of fragrant rice and Vimalaya, and the fragrant rice is smoked in Viya and the three thousand worlds.
The bodhisattva who incarnated gave the fragrant rice that came from the incarnation to the body of the Vimal monk.
I wasn't here at the time, otherwise I would have to grab it, the fragrance of this fragrant rice, not only the local area of Viyali City is full of the fragrance of rice, but even the three thousand worlds can smell it, this rice is really strange.
When the Brahmin monks and others heard the fragrance, their bodies and minds were happy, and they sighed that they had never seen it.
At that time, the Brahmins and laymen in the city (Brahmins are the highest class of Indian society, and laymen are also people of special status, as mentioned earlier), smelled the smell of food, and were very happy physically and mentally, which had never been experienced before.
So, the elder Lord Yuegai, from 84,000 people, came to Vimalaya.
The elders and fellow residents were all old and virtuous people, and the Lord Moon Gai was the name of the person, and he brought 84,000 people to the room of the Vimal monk.
Seeing that there were many bodhisattvas in his room, all the masters were high, wide and strict, and they were all very happy.
Worship the bodhisattvas and the big disciples, but live on one side.
When these 84,000 people came to the room, they were filled with joy to see that so many Bodhisattvas were already present and that there were so many seats in such good seats.
Because the Vimal monks did not invite them to sit down, they had to buy standing tickets, and after bowing to the bodhisattvas and arhats, they stepped aside.
The gods of the earth, the gods of the void, and the heavens of the realm of lust, when they smell this fragrance, also come to Vimalaya.
The text of this paragraph is easy to understand, the focus is on the rice, and the aroma of the rice has attracted so many people. How can the abbot's room of the Vimo monk accommodate so many people?
And there is only one bowl of rice from the Xiangji Buddha, how can so many people eat it?
In fact, there is only one bowl of rice in the world, and there are so many people in the world who eat it, so we should also pay attention to this truth.
We don't have much land in the world, but there are so many people living and so many people living to eat.
The main Taoist temple of the Longmen sect in the north of the Central Plains is the Baiyun Temple in Beijing, and it is very good to have a pair at the door:
There is no better cultivation in the world
Nothing in the world is as hard as eating
Being able to meditate and recite the Buddha every day without having to worry about anything is the greatest blessing and enjoyment. But where did this bowl of rice come from? Life must have this bowl of rice. That's the big problem.
At that time, Vimalaya Sariputta and others heard loudly: The benevolent can eat, such as nectar flavored rice, smoked by great compassion, and eaten without limit, so that it will not be consumed.
At that time, there was a big scene, and Vimal gave a speech, and he said that this rice was not an ordinary meal, but a Buddha nectar flavor (the taste of nectar is a description, not a nectar water), and eating it will wash away the troubles and be purified forever.
Manna is not ordinary dew, Chinese medicine boils medicine with yin and yang water, there are many kinds of yin and yang water, there are river water and well water, and there are also rainwater and well water combined to decoction. There is also rootless water, which is the rain that falls from the sky.
Those who pay attention to the tea ceremony and what kind of water to use to make tea are also very knowledgeable.
Cultivators have many elixirs, which must be boiled with dew to have a medicinal effect.
In order to refine the elixir for himself, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty used state funds to build a bearing terrace, which is a very high platform, and there is a column on the platform, and a person is molded on the column head, and a plate is held in his hand to catch dew.
Nectar is not dew, the real nectar Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have it, and we have it ourselves, but we must meditate to a certain extent before we can taste it.
In the realm of the unity of heaven and man, the physical body communicates with heaven and earth, as Zhuangzi said, "communicating with the spirit of heaven and earth", at that time, it is not saliva, but a sweet liquid, flowing from the top of the head to the mouth, coming from a steady stream.
This is exactly what it is: "for the source of living water". The so-called empowerment in Tantra is the initiation with one's own nectar.
When you reach this realm, the top of your head is cool at all times, and there is even a feeling of happiness throughout your body.
So true nectar is very rare, so how can we achieve nectar empowerment? It is necessary to pay attention to the next sentence, "smoked by great compassion". It's not that you have a petty mentality, you can get it by just caring about your own cultivation, even if you occasionally get a little cool realm, it doesn't count.
Only when the immeasurable merits of great compassion and compassion are fulfilled can we reach that state.
Vimal also reminded everyone present at that time not to take the consciousness of the world and the limited amount of mind to eat this bowl of rice, otherwise you will not digest it.
This passage can be understood at a glance, but the meaning of its text is to be combined with real practice. When we ordinary people study Buddhism, we usually cultivate with a limited consciousness, seek for ourselves, and at most become enlightened for ourselves, with compassion in our mouths and no compassion in our hearts. In this way, it is impossible to accomplish the merits of the bodhisattva's great wishes.
Without the Mahayana mind, you won't be able to digest the meal of the Fragrant Buddha.
