Chapter 782: Five Grades

Shi Ru said that the abilities that a teacher should have:

The Bodhisattva has a complete understanding of all the Dharma and is able to lead sentient beings across the treacherous sea, as if the navigator is navigating. Those who are good teachers should pay attention to the fact that you must be able to "gather the Dharma Weapons", learn the immeasurable method, understand the differences between the cause and effect of all sentient beings in their previous lives and the root organs, understand the psychology of sentient beings, and know all the motivations of sentient beings. With such a bodhisattva realm, one can be "like a sea teacher". Every word here in the Vimala Sutra is like a whip on us!

These bodhisattvas are close to Buddhas, equivalent to the Buddha's unequal, but in the end they are not Buddhas, they have not passed through the ten grounds, they have not surpassed the two enlightenments of the Buddha and attained the Buddhahood, so they are the great freedom and wisdom of the Buddhas.

"Ten powers, fearlessness, eighteen not together", the Buddha's free wisdom has ten powers, four fearlessness, eighteen non-common laws, here will not explain these terms one by one, explain in detail, Buddhism will be all included in it. (The Ten Powers of the Buddha: Knowing Right and Wrong, Knowing the Three Worlds of Karma, Knowing the Samadhi Wisdom of Zen Liberation, Knowing the Superiority and Inferiority of the Roots, Knowing the Wisdom of Understanding, Knowing the Wisdom of All Worlds, Knowing the Wisdom of All Paths, Knowing the Eyes of Heaven and Eyes, Knowing the Wisdom of Fate Without Leakage, and Knowing the Eternal Breaking of Habits.) The four fearlessness of the Buddha: all wisdom is fearless, leakage is fearless, obstacles are fearless, and sufferings are fearless. The Buddha's eighteen non-common dharmas: no loss of body, no loss of mouth, no loss of thoughts, no strange thoughts, no concentration, no self-abandonment, no reduction in desire, no reduction in diligence, no reduction in thoughts, no reduction in wisdom, no reduction in liberation, no reduction in liberation of knowledge, all body karma with wisdom, all oral karma with wisdom, all mental karma with wisdom, wisdom with past lives, wisdom with future lives, wisdom with present lives. )

"The five realms are born to manifest themselves", so the great bodhisattvas who are close to the Buddha can freely enter and exit the five realms of heaven, man, and the three evil realms for the sake of all sentient beings.

"As a great physician, he is good at curing all diseases, responding to diseases and medicines, and making them obedient", I have repeatedly emphasized that the Vimala Sutra is closely related to the Lotus Sutra, the Medicine Teacher Sutra, and the Jizo Sutra. However, the "Vimala Sutra" is as high as the spring and white snow, and some people do not want to read the "Dizang Sutra", thinking that it is read by a superstitious old woman. The foundation of Buddhism, regardless of whether it is Mahayana or Mahayana, is based on the three worlds of cause and effect and the six realms of reincarnation, and ordinary people can barely believe it, but it is difficult to verify it.

In the Vimala Sutra, it is said that only the true great bodhisattva is the great physician, who is good at treating all the pains of sentient beings, giving them whatever medicine they are ailment, and having both material and spiritual medicines, so that sentient beings can take medicine according to the prescription and gain liberation.

"Immeasurable merits are all accomplished, and immeasurable Buddha land is pure", here is the sound of thunder, like thunder, but sentient beings cannot hear it. If you want to learn Buddhism and preach the Tao, you must grasp these two sentences! If you don't have the qualifications to cultivate merit, don't think about attainment, how can you start cultivating merit? Do not do any evil, but do all good. That is, don't take the good as small and do nothing, and don't take the evil as small. If there is no meritorious achievement, there will be obstacles everywhere, the body and mind will be demonic obstacles, and the internal and external environment will be obstacles. The achievement of immeasurable merit is the cultivation of good fortune, and the immeasurable Buddha land is the achievement of cultivating wisdom. How can the immeasurable Buddha land be pure? The heart is pure, the land is pure, and the mind must be pure. One breath and one breath is one thought, and there are 84,000 afflictions between sentient beings in one thought, so only by thinking about it is pure can we realize that the immeasurable Buddha land is pure.

"All those who see and hear it will benefit. Whatever you do, you don't don't donate", and when you see and hear such a bodhisattva, there is no sentient being who will not benefit. All things are done in vain, they are not in vain.

"If all merits are sufficient," when you have cultivated to this point, you will have the merits of merit and wisdom attainment, and you will be fully possessed and sufficient. So far, the scriptures have praised the merits of the bodhisattvas. The following are the names of each of them, and if you want to give a detailed account of the merits and deeds of each of them, it will not be enough to tell them in a month or two, and the main character of that sutra, Vimalaya, will not be able to appear for a long time, so I can only recite the names of the bodhisattvas once.
