Chapter 813: Twenty-one Pins
"The synthesis of all the things in the netherworld", simply put, is the combination of psychology and physiology, which imaginarily constitutes today's false self.
Above is the Vimal monk, who said to the people who came to visit him, that this body was worthless. Here's a conclusion:
"All the benevolent! This can be disgusted, when the Buddha body. So what? The Buddha body is the Dharma body. "Everyone! Our flesh is abhorrent, so do not be deceived. We have to pursue the true body of each person's own life, which is the Buddha body. The Buddha body is not only Shakyamuni Buddha and Amitabha Buddha. All sentient beings are originally Buddhas, and all of them have Buddha bodies; You've found it, and you've succeeded. What Zen Buddhism pursues and wants to realize is to realize this body, which is the Dharma body. The Dharmakaya is unborn, imperishable, undefiled, impure, unincreased, and undiminished, and is our true life, and we can't find it. The Dharmakaya is not hidden, it is placed in your physical body, but it has nothing to do with the physical body, but it is here at any time. When you find this body, you have attained the Dharmakaya Buddha. This is the main point, and this is what Buddhism pursues. Young students often ask how to learn Zen, and they can answer with a passage from Vimala here, which is orthodox Zen Buddhism.
"Born of immeasurable merit and wisdom." Then how the Dharma body is attained. It is not something that you can attain by showing your little loyalty, small faith, and small roots, but it comes from immeasurable merit and wisdom, which are the two capitals of learning Buddhism, the food of merit and the food of wisdom. This is the principle of attaining the Dharmakaya.
"Knowing and seeing from precepts, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and liberation." This is the first step to verify the Dharma Body. When the precepts are attained, one is liberated; After liberation, what we know and see is developed, and when it is clear, the Dharmakaya can be achieved. Kung fu alone is not enough, and we must start from various behaviors of being a person and doing things.
"From compassion, compassion, joy, and sacrificing. From generosity, vows, patience, gentleness, diligence, meditation, liberation, samadhi, hearing and wisdom, all paramitas arise. "Attaining the Dharmakaya from the four immeasurable minds. Attaining Dharmakaya from various paramitas.
"From the convenience of living. Born from Liutong. "The immeasurable Dharma vows to learn, and to study all the convenient methods to attain the Dharma body. Attaining the Dharmakaya from the supernatural powers is the attainment of the Dharmakaya.
"Born from Sanming." The three clarities are the clarity of fate, the clarity of the heavenly eye, and the clarity of leakage, from which the Dharmakaya is attained. There is no one who is truly enlightened and ignorant of the past life and the future. Although the Tao is not in the supernatural powers, the three clear and six ways are all known. Whether you yourself are enlightened or not, you can prove it from here.
"Born from the Thirty-Seven Paths." are the thirty-seven skulls of the Word, namely; The four minds, the four righteous diligences, the four wishful feet, the five roots, the five forces, the seven jue branches, and the eightfold path.
"Observe life from the beginning." I have already talked about the principle of meditation.
"From the ten forces, the four fearless, and the eighteen non-common laws." These terms are not elaborated.
"Never cut off all the bad laws, and gather all the good laws to give birth." That is, do not do all evil, but do all good. You don't have to make any great vows for all the Dharma, and if you can do these two things, you will be successful.
"Born from reality. Never let go. From this is the immeasurable purity of the Dharma, the birth is like the coming body. "From these boundless and immeasurable purification methods, we are born as a body and attained attainment.
"All the benevolent! Those who want to attain the body of a Buddha and stop all sentient beings from suffering from illness should develop the three bodhichittas. This is the summary of Vimala, and if you truly attain the Dharma Body, you will be able to be born, old, sick and die, otherwise this physical body will inevitably be born, old, sick and die. Even if the physical body is not bad, it is still sick! It's not one disease, it's another. For example, if you get a Zen disease while practicing meditation, it is not something that can be cured by the medicine of the world. Before reaching the eighth place of the Mahayana Bodhisattva, minor illnesses and minor annoyances, and even major illnesses and annoyances, are inevitable. Therefore, among the five understandings that a bodhisattva must have, one of them is a medical prescription. And to attain the Dharmakaya, to be born, old, sick, and dead, one must develop the three bodhichitta, the great mind, the supreme enlightenment, and the mind of attaining great enlightenment. This is the real motivation, the bodhichitta. Bodhichitta is also compassion, and those who have it have a mind must have compassion for all sentient beings.
"In this way, the elder Vimalaya, who is the one who asks the sick, has said the same thing, so that there are no thousands of people who have attained the three bodhichitta." By saying that he was sick, the Vimal monks caused countless people who came to visit the sick to develop the three bodhichitta.
