Chapter 809: Nineteen Pins
"Vimalaya, the elder, with such immeasurable convenience, benefits all sentient beings." Vimala has succeeded in cultivating the aforementioned method of using an infinite number of convenient methods to fully benefit all sentient beings.
"It's convenient, but it's sick." But Vimoju was sick. The Buddha became a monk in order to liberate himself from birth, old age, sickness and death, and he came to such a layman as Vimala, although he was the incarnation of the ancient Buddha and achieved so great, but he still got sick, how to learn this Dharma?
Not only Vimala laymen, but also Shakyamuni Buddha entered Nirvana at the age of eighty-one, and died of illness and cold.
How do you get back in the cold wind? When the Buddha was young, he practiced asceticism in the snow-capped mountains for six years, and now he wants you to cover your body when you meditate.
The Buddha once had this old problem, and asked his younger brother Ananda to go to the fate and ask for ghee to boil the medicine. Ananda went to the house of Vimal and was scolded by Vimal, as will be discussed later in this sutra.
If we sentient beings are sick, why can't the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas leave the disease? It's a big question, it's a talk, and I have to go to it.
We read the sutras, and when the Buddhas meet each other, they ask each other;
"Less sickness and less annoyance, isn't it? Is it easy for sentient beings? It can be seen that when a Buddha appears, he will inevitably get sick and will inevitably overcome the troubles of sentient beings.
It is natural that sentient beings are not easy to live, and sometimes they have to be annoyed to become a Buddha. Some people wrote to me: "Is it less sick and less troubled? "It's ridiculous to see it, I'm not a Buddha, and you're not a Buddha.
"In the absence of his illness, the king's ministers, the elders, the monks, the brahmins, and the princes, and the rest of the officials, and thousands of them, went to inquire about the sickness." Because Vimal was sick, the news came, and thousands of people, from the king to people from all walks of life, went to visit.
At that time, there was not much population in the whole of India, and so many people went to see him, and it was a sensation throughout the country.
You can see the majesty of the moral knowledge of the Vimo monks.
"In the past, Vimalaya was widely said because of his physical illness." For those who came to visit the sick, Vimal monks used their illness as an opportunity to educate and educate the public.
