"The king has a thousand sons, upright and brave, and can subdue the enemy." This holy king had a thousand sons, each of whom was upright, brave and strong, and unbeatable.

In the history of the Central Plains, only King Wen of Zhou had a hundred sons, of course, this is written in the novel of the Fengshen List, not the official history.

At that time, Bao Gai and his dependents offered to the medicine king Rulai. At that time, the Holy King of Baogai and his family made offerings to the Medicine King Rulai. This is also related to the East, and few people pay attention to this issue, and Mahayana Buddhism finally mentions the Buddhas of the East. Why is it that when the wheel king is born, there will also be a sect master? Buddhism doesn't mention this.

In the Central Plains, human culture is divided into three realms: the monarch is the ruler, such as the Wheel Saint King; Teachers, such as Confucius and Shakyamuni Buddha; Chendao, the general who can benefit the society. In each Buddhist scripture, when the era of the monarch is written, the teacher and the minister must be equally prosperous; When the wheel king declines, so does the teacher's path.

"Give everything to the five calamities." Everything that the Medicine King and his disciples had was provided for by the Holy King of Baogai, so that they could cultivate with peace of mind. And it's not just a hundred years, it's a long time to provide for five eons.

"After five eons, tell his thousand sons: You should also be like me, and make offerings to the Buddha with deep heart. So the thousand sons were ordered by their father to provide for the medicine king Rulai, restore the five tribulations, and give peace to everything. "After five eons, the Holy King of Baogai commanded his thousand sons, after my death, you should learn from me, and with deep heart and sincerity, you will respectfully offer to the Heavenly Master. These thousand sons followed their father's orders and provided for the five eons of the medicine king, as if their father was alive.

"One of his kings, named Yuegai, sat alone and thought: Would you rather have an offering for someone who is better than this?" Among the 1,000 sons, there was one named Yuegai, and he pondered on his own, what other more transcendent way could he make offerings to the Buddha?

"With the divine power of the Buddha, there is a heaven in the sky that says: Good man, the offering of the law is better than the offering." At this time, a celestial being in the sky told him that the true offering was the Dharma offering, which was better than any other offering.

In ordinary terms, spiritual offerings are better than material offerings. Of course, I'm simply saying that Dharma offerings cannot be interpreted as spiritual offerings, so let's explain what Dharma offerings are.

That is, what is the offering of the Dharma? Heaven said: You can ask the medicine king Rulai, and you should be widely offered to you. The celestial people told the prince of Yuegai to go to the medicine king Rulai, and he would explain to you in detail what the Dharma offering was.

In real time, the prince of the moon cover is the king of medicine. The head of the Buddha is foot, but he lives on one side, and the white Buddha said: World-honored, among the offerings, the law is victorious, what is the name of the cloud is the offering of the law?

The prince of Yuegai went to ask the medicine king for instructions according to his words. "The head of the Buddha is foot, but he lives on one side", this is the traditional ritual, showing respect for the Buddha. When I was young, in my hometown, I still had to bow to my parents, but of course young people don't have this set of rules nowadays.

The Buddha said: Good men, Dharma donors, the deep scriptures spoken by the Buddhas, all the worlds, difficult to believe and uncomfortable, subtle and difficult to see, pure and unstained, not only can be obtained by thinking separately.

The medicine king told him that Dharma offerings are the achievement of wisdom. From an educational point of view, teachers teach students, and the happiest thing is that students can achieve more than teachers. Therefore, Mencius said that one of the three joys of life is to be taught by the world's talents (the other two are: parents are there, and brothers have no reason).

The Dharma preached by the Buddhas is the sutra, and the sutra is the record of the transmission of the Dharma. The deep sutra is not an ordinary sutra, like the Vimala Sutra is the deep sutra, we look at the text, we feel that we understand, in fact, whether we can really understand it is still a problem. If the medicine king comes to the deep scriptures preached by the Buddhas, it is difficult for all beings in the world to believe and accept. We may not be convinced by this, and we will say, "I believe in all the Buddhist scriptures." Do you have a real belief? If you are not able to cultivate to the realm mentioned in the scriptures, you can only be regarded as superstition, not true faith. Because it is not attained, it is called "subtle and difficult to see". If you can attain it, you can attain the state of "pure and unstained," which cannot be attained by contemplating and studying with a discriminating mind. Thinking and studying with a discriminating mind is just a convenience, not the real Dharma, so we should not study the Dharma as a study.
