Chapter 807: Seventeen Grades (II)
He insisted on following the Dharma without being sloppy, as I often say: I would rather go to hell than treat the Dharma as a human favor. When it comes to the Dharma, it's unceremonious, and there is no emotion to talk about, and if it's not right, it's not right. My classmates are often scolded by me here, but once I leave here and come back occasionally, I will politely treat him as a guest. No matter who you are, if you are really a student of the Dharma, I respect you and provide for you, and if you are a pretend, I will never ignore you.
"All the harmonious couples, although they get common profits, they do not take joy", and the Vimo monks also do business! All the businesses that make a living come, so they raise so many people, like the Bodhisattva of Treasure Accumulation, if they don't do business, where will the money come from? Harmony is a description of his relaxed and harmonious appearance of talking and laughing. Even, anything comes. But I won't be happy when I make money, it's all for sentient beings.
"Traveling all over the world, benefiting all sentient beings", he goes out to play, and he is doing things that benefit others anytime and anywhere, and wherever he goes, he will be stained with his light. As the saying goes, "the dragon takes one step, and the grass is gracious", which is what it means.
"Entering the Dharma and saving everything", he is equivalent to the local chairman of the city of Biya where he lives, and tries to love those who make mistakes, and the heavy punishment is reduced, and the light punishment is canceled. If a layman is engaged in politics or law enforcement, he must be wise, but he should not be blindly merciful, because mercy will cause harm and facilitate obscenity.
When he arrives at the lecture and discourse, he will use various methods to guide people into the Mahayana path of Buddhism.
"Entering the school, luring the children", when they arrive at the school, they will use inducement education to teach ignorant children.
"When you enter the wine shops, you can set up your will", he also goes to drinking places, has wine virtue, and does not get drunk when drinking, because of his sobriety, he can make the drunkard not indulge and can save himself.
Here I will title it the beauty of the Vimal behavior, what would you call it? Don't interpret this passage as a compliment to the virtues of Vimala, but in fact, every one of these passages is an example that we should take as an example when we study Mahayana Buddhism. Otherwise, the Vimala Sutra is still the Vimala Sutra, and you are still you. The examples of learning the Buddhist precepts at home are all here, and there is no one who wants you to be a mother-in-law and a mother with noodles and dishes.
For example, some young people have to bow down as soon as they come, and you can see it as soon as you enter the door with respect, and it would be nice to say hello! I don't have to come here, I still have to kneel and return the salute. It's better for you to learn Buddhism according to the rules than to kowtow to me. You have become a Buddha, and I will come to worship you. I will not be bowed down to for the rest of my life, because I have fasted for the eight levels and do not sit on a high bed, which is the basis of the novice vows and bhikshu vows, and I do not sit on the high position. I should no longer be able to ascend to the throne in white clothes, so I must put a Buddha statue in front of me. You worship the Buddha and not me, so I don't care if someone comes to kowtow.
The Vimala Sutra does not have a bit of formalism, the real Mahayana does not need to pretend to be the one who learns the Tao, some people have a Buddha face, a mouth full of Buddhist words, a Buddha spirit, and they enter the room and pollute the air, I am most afraid of this kind of person. Of course, this is not only true of Buddhists, but I see that such Christians are also afraid. Once, some Christians came to my door and talked for two hours, and I had already eaten several of them, so I had to write a note and hand it out, saying, "God says not to disturb the peace of others." They saw it and had no choice but to leave. People asked me what kind of note I handed over, and I said that it was a talisman drawn by Taoist Zhang Tianshi, and only he understood it. So, don't engage in so many forms, but turn people off.
